Chapter 450: Chapter 450 – Your pup can walk already?
Ray had no choice but to join the men, even without being an Alpha because the warriors had all grouped themselves together outside the pack house.

It confused Ray as to where to be at the moment since his training and responsibilities after the discovery of his wolf had changed.

Alpha Ludwig had a special liking for him despite the five years age difference because his twin sister was his mate and soon to be Luna.

“So, Ray, did you find your mate yet?” He asked casually, Alpha Troy and Idris seemed interested as well.

“No, and I wish I don’t,” Ray said honestly, the two Alphas were surprised, as they had the same things in common.

They either suffered for their mates or waited to the point of giving up on their mates. Alpha Troy was in the situation where his mate was being used against him by his Alpha.

Alpha Ludwig womanized for years and his pack suffered for it because he did not find his mate when he turned eighteen.

If not for his mother and Alpha Denzel, his pack would have been utterly destroyed.

“Never say never. It took me a long time to find my mate and I almost gave up,” Alpha Idris said, supported by Alpha Troy. “Same here and even after I did, my Alpha would not let me be with her.”

He was saddened but saw himself lucky when he recalled the events between his Alpha and Alpha Denzel.

That experience was something he never wanted to go through in life again. “Finding your mate early delivers you from the worry of never finding her.”

Ray understood their points but felt misunderstood. Just like them, he would have been happy if he had a normal wolf and would continue being at the Evergreen pack but things were going to change for him.

He might have to shoulder responsibilities he knew he was not prepared for. “I understand you both because finding your mates will never cause you to relocate from your packs but mine would.”

As the two Alphas thought about the response, it could only be geared towards one thing. “Wait a minute, what kind of wolf do you have?” Alpha Idris asked, Ray replied. “An Alpha one.”

Now they understood his lack of enthusiasm in finding his mate and it was all understandable because of the kind of Alpha he had.

“Wow, congratulations young man. You are destined to be an Alpha. I know Alpha Denzel would not make your training easy,” Alpha Ludwig laughed, recalling all the training videos Alpha Denzel sent to him.

It worked greatly in transforming the strength of his pack so it was all worth it. “Well, it intensified after the discovery,” Ray agreed.

Both Alphas knew that Alpha Denzel was not selfish. However, he would not want Ray to disgrace him for whichever pack he was going to head.

The moment anyone hears that Ray was from the Evergreen pack, the expectation from him would quadruple.

“That’s the Denzel I know,” Idris said, they all laughed but Ray was a bit shy because the two men were older.

He would have been more comfortable in holding casual conversations with Alphas around his age.

Then they looked around but the women were nowhere to be found and yet, the pups were doing their own things.

Alpha pups were never trained with toys and were allowed to experiment with whatever caught their eyes under adult supervision.

Alpha Troy’s pup, Bronco, was trying to show off his early walking skills. Being humans at this age, they were supposed to begin walking by nine to ten months for Alpha pups, then ten to eighteen months for regular pups.

Whereas seven months down the line, he was taking steps already. His parents’ encouragement was clear in the way he was doing it excitedly, though his steps were not fast and steady.

Whenever he took a step, his parents would cheer him on so he was quite fast for his age.

“Your pup can walk already?” Idris was amazed as he said to Troy but the latter was equally amazed for Idris’ pup, Cairo, who was trying to catch up with the support of the furniture.

With the two pups competing against each other, Denver was feeling that his fast development was normal, as well as thought himself to be of the same age as the two pups.

As such, he did not feel shy, rising to his feet and walking hastily and steadily without support, the two Alphas including Ray who had no idea of the things Denver had done exclaimed together,

“What?” They were already screaming for their women.

“Ash.”

“Adira.”

Both Idris and Troy called at the same time but four women rushed into the living room and when Valerie saw her son walking like a pro, she held the door for support.

Denzel had said it but he was only thinking it to be baby steps. Now, she was lost for words but quickly, she took her phone and videoed everything, sending it to Denzel.

It was clear that being among her peers took away Denver’s shyness. Perhaps they could test him with peers around a year or two older.

The pups could feel that the temperature in the room had changed and as if they had been pinched, they all began to bawl at the same time.

“It’s your fault. Why did you have to scream?” Ashley chastised the three men as she rushed to gather the pups in her arms.

The three Alphas were still finding it hard to recover from the shock, their mouths agape.

“I think they should be fed and cleaned up. They will have a good sleep.”

“You can keep them all in the same room. I will take care of them,” Alice suggested, Adira countered.

“But Denver is so young. He will need his mother.”

“Denver chooses to sleep in Alice’s room so I just pump some breastmilk for him,” Valerie smiled and said, Ashley thought about the question eating her mind, just as Adira was finding it hard to hold it in also.

“Are you going to tell us what special food or training you give this boy?”
