Chapter 1093: This Place Sucks!
Villain Ch 1093.
This Place Sucks!
The scenery around them erupted into a cloud of dust and smoke, the deafening roar of the explosion slowly subsiding as the debris rained down around them.
When the smoke began to clear, Jane canceled her barrier, a mixture of relief and irritation flashing across her face.
She glanced back at the group, shaking her head.
“Yep, I fucking hate this place.” Vivian smirked.
“See?
It wasn’t even five minutes before you stepped on something.” Jane rolled her eyes.
“Not the time, Viv.” Shea glanced around warily, her sharp eyes scanning the dark shadows of the Rift.
“Let’s keep the teasing for later, shall we?
That explosion was loud enough to wake the dead.
We’re sitting ducks if we don’t move.
The monsters in this place aren’t exactly subtle.” As if in response to her words, a low, guttural sound echoed through the cavern, faint but growing closer.
Larissa groaned, her blood tendrils already slithering out from her sides in preparation.
“You know, if this place is connected to one of our backstories, whoever it is really drew the short straw.
Because this place sucks.” Allen’s grip tightened on his sword as he heard the approaching growls and screeches, the unmistakable sound of creatures stirred from their slumber by the trap.
“Get ready,” he warned, his voice low but commanding.
“They’re coming.” From the darkness of the void, a dozen nightmarish monsters emerged, their skeletal figures twisted.
Each one was a hideous amalgamation of bones, blackened armor, and jagged spikes that protruded from their limbs.
Two massive creatures stood at the forefront of the group, towering over the others.
The first was a hulking knight-like figure, its armor cracked and covered in fiery runes that pulsed with dark energy.
Its sword, as large as a full-grown man, was etched with the same runes.
The creature’s skeletal face was twisted in a permanent snarl, its eyes burning with malevolent fury.
Graveborn Warlord <Level 165> Beside it was a more sinister figure, cloaked in shadows that seemed to pulse and writhe like living creatures.
Its face was hidden beneath a hood of dark, tattered cloth, but the faint glow of red eyes could be seen peering out from the shadows.
Black feathers lined its shoulders and arms, giving it the appearance of a dark, corrupted bird of prey.
Its weapon-a long, jagged scythe-dripped with shadowy energy, and its presence alone seemed to make the air colder, heavier.
Harrowing Specter <Level 168> The rest of the monsters, smaller but no less dangerous, began to crawl out of the cracks and crevices of the Rift.

Their bodies were skeletal, like something half-alive, half-dead, with jagged spikes and broken bones protruding from their grotesque forms.
Each of them glowed faintly, their eyes blazing with the same deep red that marked their masters.
They hissed and snarled, the sound like nails scraping against stone.
Jane’s eyes widened at the sight of them.
“Well, that’s just fantastic,” she muttered.
Vivian quickly drew her whip.
“No kidding.
They’re huge.” “Doesn’t matter,” Allen said, his voice calm but firm.
He summoned his Demonic Aura skill, the dark energy flickering and sparking in the air.
“We’ve faced worse.
Stick to the plan.
Focus on the smaller ones first, then we’ll take down the big guys.” [Your attack and defense have increased by 250%] [You have decreased enemies’ attack and defense by 50% within a 10-meter radius] [Countdown: 15 minutes.] Larissa cracked her knuckles, her blood tendrils swirling around her in anticipation.
“Sounds good to me.
I’ve been itching for a real fight.” The monsters moved with terrifying speed.
The smaller creatures charged, their claws outstretched, screeching as they lunged toward the group.
The larger two, the Graveborn Warlord and the Harrowing Specter, stayed back for a moment, watching with malevolent patience as their minions attacked.
“Here they come!” Zoe shouted, her tentacles whipping around her as she prepared to defend the group.
Jane wasted no time.
She raised her hands, dark magic swirling around her as she summoned a barrage of bone spikes from the ground, impaling several of the smaller creatures in one swift motion.
But more of them kept coming, their skeletal forms undeterred by the initial assault.
“Damn it, they’re fast!” she cursed, narrowly dodging a swipe from one of the monsters.
Bella summoned a storm of wind and lightning, her fingers crackling with energy as she unleashed a barrage of electrical bolts.
The blasts struck the advancing horde, causing several of the smaller monsters to convulse and crumble into piles of ash and bone.
While Alice raised her hands.
“Shadow Bind!” she chanted, her voice dripping with arcane power.
Shadows twisted around her, reaching out like living tendrils, latching onto the legs and limbs of the advancing minions.
The creatures hissed and thrashed, but the shadows held them in place, wrapping around them like chains.
But the larger monsters-the Graveborn Warlord and the Harrowing Specter-weren’t content to stay idle any longer.
The Graveborn Warlord let out a guttural roar, its fiery runes glowing even brighter as it charged forward, massive sword raised high, ready to strike.
The sheer force of its presence seemed to make the air around them hum with dread.
Allen’s eyes narrowed.
He knew this was their biggest threat.
If that Warlord broke through their line, it would be chaos.
His mind raced, and in an instant, he acted.
“Stone Curse,” Allen cast.
The ground beneath the smaller minions rippled, and within moments, jagged stone erupted from the earth, encasing the creatures in stone cocoons.
“Nice!” Larissa called out, her tendrils slashing through the weakened creatures as they struggled against the stone.
But even with the minions frozen, the Graveborn Warlord continued its relentless charge.
Bella summoned her next spell.
“Slow them down,” she muttered, ice gathering at her fingertips.
“Ice Lance!” She raised her arms and launched sharp, glittering lances of ice at the two massive monsters.
The lances struck the Warlord and the Specter, shards of ice embedding in their dark armor and twisted flesh.
The impact slowed them down, their movements sluggish as frost began to cover their bodies.
The Graveborn Warlord roared, its fiery runes dimming slightly as the ice magic took hold, but it was still advancing.
Its rage was clear, the fiery energy in its sword burning through the cold.
