Chapter 1096: Sixth Sense Chapter 1096: Sixth Sense Villain Ch 1096.
Sixth Sense The impact was brutal, and the Specter’s body erupted into a cloud of black smoke as it collided with the lesser monsters, scattering them like debris.
The minions, once focused and relentless in their assault, became disoriented.
Their movements grew erratic, their cohesion shattered by the loss of their leaders.
Chaos spread through their ranks as they began turning on each other, some lashing out blindly, their cursed instincts driving them into a frenzy.
This was the moment Allen had been waiting for.
“Hellfire Rain,” he muttered under his breath, his eyes glowing with a fierce determination.
He raised his hand.
The sky, or what passed for it in the Abyssal Rift, roiled with black clouds, and a moment later, streams of fire began raining down on the chaotic mass of minions.
The flames scorch the monsters below.
The first wave of Hellfire hit the ground, and the minions shrieked in agony as the flames consumed them, their bodies disintegrating into ash.
The sound of sizzling flesh and the stench of burning bones filled the air.
The others joined in, recognizing the opportunity to grind for more experience.
They needed at least five minutes to clean up the last of the minions.
One by one, the remaining creatures fell.
The relentless assault reduced the horde to nothing but ash and fragments of bone scattered across the cracked stone floor.
Once the last of the enemies crumbled to the ground, Allen lowered his sword.
The battlefield was eerily quiet now, the howling wind from the abyssal chasm below the only sound that remained.
Vivian exhaled loudly and wiped the sweat from her brow, her whip coiling back around her waist.
“Well, that was a workout,” she muttered, walking over to where Allen stood, surveying the aftermath.
Larissa reached into her inventory and pulled out a Mana Potion.
The glowing blue liquid shimmered as she downed it quickly.
“This place is intense like always.” “You know…” Jane huffed, wiping the dirt and grime from her hands.
“I feel like every corner of this place is out to kill us.” She opened her inventory, pulling out her own potion and taking a long gulp.
“Not that I mind a challenge, but damn, this place is relentless.” Zoe chuckled, giving her a teasing smirk as she rolled her shoulders.
“Says the one who triggered the trap.” She reached for her own Mana potion.
Jane pouted.
“You guys are seriously still at it?
How long are you going to hold that over my head?” she grumbled.
Shea joined in as she finished sipping her potion.

“Sorry, can’t help but tease you, Jane.
It’s kind of a tradition at this point.” Vivian chimed in.
“To be fair, that trap could’ve happened to anyone.
But the fact that it was you…
well, it’s a story we’ll be telling for a while.” She tossed a wink in Jane’s direction.
Jane shook her head, clearly pretending to be annoyed but not really minding the banter.
“Fine, fine.
Keep teasing me.
But just remember, the next trap?
It’s all on you, Zoe.
I’ll make sure of it.” She lifted her Mana potion in a mock toast.
Bella, taking a long drink from her own potion, glanced at the looming entrance behind them.
“Speaking of traps, the entrance is right there, but here we are, drinking our Mana Potions.” She gestured toward the group, her voice light but with an edge of caution.
“We literally just went in.” “That’s The Abyssal Rift for you,” Alice chimed in.
Allen gave a nod of agreement.
“We need to be ready for anything in this place.
The traps here are one thing, but the monsters inside are a whole different story.” Larissa had already finished her potion and was checking her inventory.
“I’m topped off, ready to go.
Just… no more running into traps, okay?” She glanced meaningfully at Jane, though her lips curled into a playful smirk.
Jane rolled her eyes, feigning exasperation.
“You trip one trap and suddenly you’re the trap magnet for life.” Shea laughed.
“It’s not just that, Jane.
It’s the way you panic when it happens.
You should’ve seen your face!
You practically screamed ‘uh-oh’ before the explosion even hit.” “Because I knew what was coming!” Jane shot back, a playful grin spreading across her face despite herself.
“I have a sixth sense for impending doom, clearly.” Zoe took a long sip of her potion, her eyes still scanning the darkened pathway ahead of them.
“Well, we’re going to need that sixth sense again soon.
This place isn’t going to get any easier.
And you know once you trigger the trap, those monsters will come to us like ants in sugar rush mode.” Allen wiped his mouth after finishing his potion.
“This place is designed to grind us down, mentally and physically.
That’s why we have to stay sharp.” Zoe stretched her arms.
“I’m ready.
The sooner we move, the sooner we finish this place.
I’d rather not spend any more time here than necessary.” She cracked her neck and flicked her gaze toward Allen.
“I’m not looking forward to what’s waiting deeper inside, though.” Vivian adjusted the coils of her whip.
“No sense in delaying the inevitable, right?
Let’s give this place a good show.” Shea scoffed.
“This place is practically begging us to mess up.” “We’ve got this.
We’ve cleared tougher places before.
Just stay focused and keep your eyes open for traps,” Larissa said.
Bella stood a little off to the side.
“I’m good to go, too.
And maybe, just maybe, we can get through the rest of this place without triggering every trap along the way.” She winked at Jane, who rolled her eyes in response.
Allen took a deep breath, his eyes scanning the faces of his team.
“Alright, then,” he said, his voice steady.
“Stay close, watch each other’s backs, and if anything feels off, speak up.
We’re not leaving anyone behind.” They all nodded in agreement and continued the journey.
Allen stepped forward, leading the group to the dark path in front of them.
His gaze was on the glowing runes on the towers.
‘Those runes… I wonder what will happen if I destroy them?’ he thought.
