Chapter 1099: The Riftkeeper Chapter 1099: The Riftkeeper Villain Ch 1099.
The Riftkeeper Zoe stood up, adjusting the straps on her bikini armor.
“The Riftkeeper’s chamber is there.” “Yeah,” Allen confirmed.
“But we need to be ready.
The Riftkeeper’s not a boss monster but he is more annoying than that.
It’s going to be tougher than anything we’ve faced on this floor.
If we go in unprepared, we won’t stand a chance.” Jane, still grinning from earlier, stood up.
“Well, what are we waiting for?
Let’s kick this Rift guy’s ass!” Allen smirked, feeling the energy of the group rise.
“Alright, everyone.
Check your gear, refill your mana, and stay sharp.” They all moved quickly, downing potions, adjusting their armor, and ensuring every weapon was ready for what lay ahead.
They approached the final stretch leading to the Riftkeeper’s chamber, and the atmosphere shifted instantly.
The once narrow, claustrophobic corridors gave way to a massive cavern that opened up before them like the maw of a beast.
It was more cavern than chamber, the walls jagged and rough, with uneven stone floors stretching out into the dark distance.
The ceiling was high, but despite its vastness, it felt oppressively low, like it could collapse at any moment.
The air was thick with ancient, stagnant magic that seemed to cling to their skin, making it hard to breathe.
Scattered around the cavern were strange, eerie candles.
They flickered and danced with unnatural light, casting long, twisting shadows across the rocky surface.
It wasn’t the gentle glow of normal candlelight-these candles burned with a cold, spectral flame, their wicks nearly impossible to snuff out by normal means.
They’d learned that the hard way last time, after wasting countless spells trying to extinguish them.
Only water, ice, or wind spells worked, or cutting the wicks directly.
But even then, the flame fought back as if it had a life of its own.
The Riftkeeper stood in the center of the cavern, towering and grotesque.
The creature resembled a monstrous, melted candle, its body dripping with wax-like substance that pooled at its feet.
Its form was a mass of sagging, shifting flesh, riddled with countless eyes that blinked in unison, their glowing centers pulsating with malevolent energy. The waxy exterior made it look as if it had been frozen mid-melt, with long, twisted tendrils hanging from its arms, dripping like molten candle wax but solidifying just before hitting the ground.
The Riftkeeper’s head was the most disturbing part-a grotesque lump with no discernible face, except for more of those ghastly eyes and a single, flickering flame that burned at its peak like a beacon of doom.
Riftkeeper (Floor Guardian) <Level 178> Bella’s voice broke the silence, her tone filled with loathing.
“I hate him,” she muttered, her eyes narrowing.
Her tails twitched in agitation, reflecting her frustration.
Vivian sighed deeply, flicking a lock of hair out of her face.

“He’s still as ugly as the last time,” she said, her voice thick with disdain.
“I’m seriously not in the mood to deal with this walking horror show again.” Allen stood at the front, his eyes locked on the Riftkeeper.
“Concentrate, guys,” he ordered, his voice calm but firm.
With a thought, he activated his Demonic Aura, and the effect was immediate.
[Your attack and defense have increased by 250%.] [You have decreased enemies’ attack and defense by 50% within a 10-meter radius.]Â [Countdown: 15 minutes.] “Remember our last strategy?
We’ll do it just like that,” Allen instructed, his voice firm, eyes fixed on the grotesque form of the Riftkeeper.
“We have fifteen minutes.
Zoe, Bella-you know what to do.
Everyone else, with me.
We hit hard, hit fast, and don’t give him room to breathe.” “Got it,” the girls responded in unison.
Bella and Zoe, their faces determined, nodded to each other and disappeared into the shadows of the cavern, their forms quickly blending into the darkness.
Their mission was crucial-turning off the candles that were the source of the Riftkeeper’s strength without being detected.
Zoe would use her water-based abilities, and Bella, her ice magic, to snuff out the eerie flames.
Allen turned back to the towering Riftkeeper, his hand tightening on the hilt of his sword.
The others gathered around him-Larissa, Shea, Jane, Alice, and Vivian-all ready for battle.
They knew the dangers of this fight; the Riftkeeper was not only powerful but unpredictable.
With fire and earth elements coursing through its monstrous form, they had to be careful not to use those same elements in their attacks.
This was going to be a brutal, strategic battle, not just a raw display of strength.
“Let’s do this,” Allen growled.
He was the first to move, launching forward with a fierce swing of his sword as he summoned his Dark Storm skill.
The room trembled as shadowy tendrils of dark energy erupted from his blade, lashing out toward the Riftkeeper.
The storm struck the creature with force, wrapping around its twisted form and momentarily stunning it, but that was all the opening they needed.
The Riftkeeper’s numerous glowing eyes blinked erratically, clearly agitated by the sudden ambush.
[You have struck The Riftkeeper for 10,312 HP!] Despite the huge damage, it wasn’t even a quarter of its total HP.
Yes, this monster was thick and had a huge amount of HP.
A deep, guttural roar echoed from the monster as it became aware of their presence.
The Riftkeeper’s eyes flickered with rage, its body shifting violently as it prepared to strike back.
“Necromancy…” Jane whispered, her voice low but charged with intent.
She raised her staff high, dark energy crackling around her fingertips.
With a sharp motion, she summoned a horde of banshees from the depths of the void.
The ghostly figures wailed as they materialized, their voices piercing and disorienting.
They circled the Riftkeeper, their mournful cries cutting through the thick air, confusing and distracting the monster.
The Riftkeeper staggered, its many eyes darting around in confusion as the banshees screamed around it.
For a moment, it seemed to falter, giving the others a chance to move in.
