- Chapter 1103 - Chapter 1103 Fire’s Supposed To Be Your Thing
Chapter 1103: Fire’s Supposed To Be Your Thing Chapter 1103: Fire’s Supposed To Be Your Thing Villain Ch 1103.
Fire’s Supposed To Be Your Thing Bella pulled out a couple of potions from her inventory, rolling her eyes.
“Yeah, I’d rather not get singed to death before I can even cast my skills.” She downed the first potion in one gulp, grimacing at the taste.
“Ugh, these things always taste like bad cough syrup.” “Better than feeling the burn of that Inferno Burst again, though,” Shea said in a half-joking tone as she uncorked her high elixir.
She took a small sip and made a face, clearly disgusted by the bitter aftertaste.
“Why do these things taste like someone ground up a bunch of burnt herbs?” Bella chuckled from her spot on a nearby rock, already halfway through her own potion.
“Yeah, I’ve wondered that too.
You’d think with all the magic in the world, they’d at least make them taste like, I don’t know, berries or something.” “Berries?” Alice shot her a look, one eyebrow raised.
“We’re in the middle of a cursed dungeon filled with nightmares, and you want potions that taste like berries?” Bella grinned, unashamed.
“If we’re going to suffer through hellish monsters, we might as well get some decent drinks out of it, right?” Jane, sitting cross-legged on the ground, took a long, slow sip of her potion, her eyes wandering around the cavern.
After a few moments, she spoke, her voice thoughtful.
“You know… I still think this place is related to one of us.
I mean, look around us.
It’s deadly, it’s dark, it’s cursed.” She smiled slyly.
“Perfect, isn’t it?” Allen raised an eyebrow, though there was a slight smirk tugging at the corner of his lips.
“So, I’m the one who cursed this place again, huh?” He said it casually, but there was a weary tone to his voice, like he’d accepted this part of his character’s lore.
With a sigh, he uncorked his high elixir and tipped it back, gulping it down in one go.
The taste didn’t even seem to faze him anymore.
Vivian nudged him playfully with her elbow.
“What’s with that face, huh?” she teased, her voice light and full of amusement.
“You should be proud of it!
This place suits your lore perfectly-dark, dangerous, and cursed.
It’s like they built it for you.” Allen chuckled, shaking his head.
“I guess,” he admitted, though there was a glint of amusement in his eyes now.
“But I’d prefer it if the place wasn’t trying to set me on fire every two minutes.” “You’re the devil emperor, remember?” Jane chimed in, still grinning.
“Fire’s supposed to be your thing.
Shouldn’t you be immune by now?” Allen shrugged, looking off toward the now-open door leading to the next level.
“Maybe one day,” he said, his tone teasing.
“But for now, I’ll settle for not getting incinerated.” Vivian laughed and took a long swig of her mana potion before leaning back against the cold stone.
“Honestly, though, it is kind of weird how this dungeon feels… familiar, you know?
Follow new episodes on the "N0vel1st.c0m".
Like it was designed to match our abilities and everything.
It’s almost too convenient.” Jane’s eyes twinkled with curiosity as she looked back at Allen.
“I’m curious about the story behind this place, though.
If it really is connected to you or your lore, what’s the deal?
Some ancient curse?
A forgotten betrayal?
Demonic ancestors?” Allen shrugged, though the thoughtful look in his eyes suggested he had his own ideas.
“Who knows?
Could be any of those things.
Or maybe this is just the developers having fun with us.
But if it were up to me…
maybe it’s the remnants of some old war between the demon realms.
Some ancient battleground that still holds onto the power and suffering of its past.” Shea glanced at him with a smirk.
“So, a cursed battlefield of demons?
Sounds exactly like something that would be in your backstory.
Did you unleash some ancient evil here, or is this your twisted version of ‘home sweet home’?” Allen chuckled, the sound low and tired.
“If it is, I should really look into getting the place redecorated.
Less fire, more furniture.” Bella snorted, clearly amused.
“You could start with some candles that don’t explode.
Maybe a rug that doesn’t try to melt your feet?” “Or a door that doesn’t creak like it’s going to swallow us alive every time it opens,” Alice added dryly.
“But seriously, cursed battleground or not, the developers really outdid themselves with the difficulty here.
This level feels personal.” Jane nodded, her eyes gleaming with excitement.
“Exactly!
Like they know how much we love a good challenge, so they threw every cursed, dark, deadly thing they could think of at us.
I bet the next level’s going to be even worse.” “Worse than being burned alive while we fly around like chickens?” Shea raised an eyebrow.
“I think I’ve had enough of ‘worse.'” Larissa, who had been quietly listening, glanced at the open door and then back to the group.
“Whatever it is, it’s going to be tough.
Let’s not get cocky.” Vivian stretched, cracking her neck.
“Yeah, yeah, we know.
But we just took down the Riftkeeper without letting it split.
That’s progress.” She winked at Allen.
“Maybe next time we’ll actually get through a floor without setting half of us on fire.” “Doubt it,” Allen replied, though there was a spark of amusement in his voice.
He was already mentally preparing for what came next.
“But yeah, we can hope.” Jane’s eyes flickered toward the door again, her curiosity getting the better of her.
“What do you think is on the next level?
I mean, if this floor was all fire and curses, what’s next?
Ice?
Shadows?
More fire?” “I don’t even want to guess,” Bella muttered.
“Whatever it is, it’s probably going to be worse than the Riftkeeper.
Something more… creative.
And by creative, I mean deadly.” Shea, finishing off her potion, gave a small groan.
“Yeah, but can it not be something that sets the floor on fire?
I swear, if I smell burnt feathers one more time…” Larissa smirked.
“At least you can fly.
Try being the one whose blood catches fire mid-battle.” CREATORS’ THOUGHTS UnholyGod Your gift is the motivation for my creation.
