Chapter 1104: Run!
Run!
Run!
Villain Ch 1104.
Run!
Run!
Run!
The lighthearted conversation faded into the background.
Now it was time to move forward.
Allen led the way, his eyes scanning their surroundings.
Once they passed through the doorway and entered the second level of the dungeon, it became immediately clear that this floor was a bit different.
This level was cold and damp, the air thick with moisture.
And the same as the previous level, the jagged cliffs of stone towered high above them, narrowing the pathways into precarious walkways that looked as though they could crumble beneath their feet at any moment.
Below them was nothing but darkness, a void that seemed to stretch endlessly down, waiting to swallow them whole.
And again the purple runes were everywhere, watching them.
“This place feels…
different,” Larissa muttered, her eyes narrowing as she surveyed the jagged terrain.
“More dangerous.
alive.” “Yeah,” Allen agreed, his voice low.
“It’s like it’s watching us.” The group pressed on.
The further they went, the more the oppressive feeling of the level sank in.
The level was cloaked in shadows, with faint glimmers of light coming from the strange, glowing crystals and runes embedded in the cliff walls.
Every so often, a flicker of blue or purple light would flicker across the stone, casting reflections that made it hard to tell what was solid ground and what wasn’t.
“Keep your eyes open,” Allen warned.
“This place is filled with tricks.” It didn’t take long for the first trap to make itself known.
The group had barely stepped onto one of the narrower walkways when a sticky, gooey web shot out from the shadows above them, clinging to their arms and legs like tar.

The webbing was thick and suffocating, sticking to everything it touched.
“Ugh!
What is this?!” Shea cried out, struggling against the sticky mass that held her wings down.
“Hold on,” Bella said quickly.
She raised her hand, summoning a small but fierce fireball that shot forward.
The flames spread across the webbing, burning it away with a hiss and a foul stench that filled the air.
But the moment the web disintegrated, another trap triggered.
From above, a mass of insect-like creatures dropped from the ceiling, splatting against the ground like oversized beetles.
They were sticky, grotesque, and they began to multiply.
“What the hell are these things?” Alice snarled, as one of the insect creatures latched onto her leg, its gooey body sticking to her boot.
“They look like overgrown flies,” Jane muttered, swinging her hand to knock one off her shoulder.
“Only they don’t seem to die.” Vivian slashed at the creatures with her whip, her expression twisted in disgust.
“Whatever they are, they’re disgusting.” Allen raised his hand and activated his Demonic Orbs again.
Dark energy orbs shot out, melting several of the insect creatures at once, but even as they died, more seemed to take their place, crawling from the shadows with a horrible buzzing sound.
“Fireball!” Bella shouted, her eyes flashing.
She summoned another wave of fireballs, launching them toward the creatures, the flames bursting in a wave of heat.
The fiery magic did the trick, burning the creatures away, leaving nothing but charred remains.
But as the insects disappeared, the ground beneath them began to shift.
“Wait!” Allen called, but it was too late.
The charred remains of the creatures had triggered another trap-this time, a hidden pressure plate.
The ground beneath their feet gave a sickening lurch, and the narrow walkway began to crumble.
Jagged stone cracked and fell away, tumbling into the void below.
The group scrambled, using their wings or any nearby ledges to stabilize themselves.
“Move!” Larissa yelled, her voice sharp.
“This whole walkway is coming down!” They ran, the stone walkway cracking and crumbling beneath their feet with every step.
The sound of the collapsing ground roared through the cavern like thunder, shaking the air and sending jagged rocks tumbling into the endless void below.
“Ah!” Zoe yelped, her foot slipping on a loose stone.
Her body tilted dangerously toward the abyss below.
Bella, running just behind her, skidded to a halt as she reached for Zoe, but her own footing crumbled, leaving her dangling precariously on the edge of the collapsing walkway.
“Damn it-!” Allen saw them both faltering, and in an instant, he acted.
“Hang on!” he shouted, reaching out with both hands.
In a burst of speed, he lunged forward, grabbing both Zoe and Bella by the wrists just as the last of the stone beneath them gave way.
For a split second, it felt like time stood still, the cavern echoing with the deafening crack of rock breaking apart.
With a sharp exhale, Allen activated his skill.
“Shadow Step.” In a flash of dark energy, the three of them vanished from the collapsing ledge, reappearing at the far end of the crumbling walkway, where the ground was stable once more.
They hit the ground hard, rolling across the rough stone floor as the air filled with the sound of the collapsing pathway.
Dust and debris rained down from above, settling in a thick cloud around them.
For a moment, there was only silence, broken by the ragged breathing of the group as they scrambled to their feet.
“Holy-” Bella panted, her chest rising and falling as she leaned against the nearest wall, her legs trembling from the near fall.
“That was way too close.
I thought I was gone for sure.” Zoe, pale from the close call, nodded shakily.
“Same.
Thanks, Allen.
You saved us.” Allen, still catching his breath, gave them a quick nod.
“No problem,” he said, his voice tight.
He wiped the sweat from his brow, his muscles still tense from the adrenaline.
The close call had left his heart pounding in his chest.
This level wasn’t playing games-it was designed to kill them at every turn.
“That’s new,” Jane muttered, her voice tinged with frustration as she brushed dust off her cloak.
She surveyed the now-collapsed walkway that had nearly sent Zoe and Bella plummeting into the abyss.
“A crumbling platform that just disappears under your feet?
Yeah, definitely a new trap.
Lovely.” CREATORS’ THOUGHTS UnholyGod Your gift is the motivation for my creation.
