Chapter 1105: Why Are There Always Bugs?
Villain Ch 1105.
Why Are There Always Bugs?
Alice crossed her arms and let out a groan.
“New trap…
ugh.
I hope it doesn’t get worse than this.” She cast a wary glance ahead, where the next stretch of the dungeon loomed.
Larissa finally spoke, her tone cautious.
“It’s bound to get worse.” She shook her head, eyeing the unstable terrain ahead.
“We’ve never been this deep into the dungeon.
It’s going to test us harder than the last floor.” Vivian turned to Larissa, her expression a mix of amusement and warning.
“Please don’t say things like that,” she quipped.
“The last thing we need is the dungeon listening to you and deciding to drop a boulder on our heads.
Seriously.” “Knowing our luck, that’s exactly what’ll happen,” Shea chimed in, rubbing the back of her neck with a grimace.
“But hey, at least we’re still alive.
Barely.” Allen straightened up, his senses on high alert, eyes darting toward the darkness ahead.
He felt it before he heard it-a faint vibration in the ground, something rhythmic, something approaching.
“Did you guys hear that?” Allen asked, his tone sharp and focused.
Bella let out a soft whine, her ears twitching.
“Oh no… not more of this,” she muttered, her tails flicking nervously.
The others went silent, straining their ears.
And then they heard it-low, echoing sounds, growing louder by the second.
Not one, not two, but a multitude of footsteps reverberating through the cavern, like claws scraping against stone.
It wasn’t just something approaching, it was a whole group of something!
Jane’s eyes widened.
“Uh-oh…” She glanced at the narrow pathway they stood on, her fingers tightening around her staff.
“We’ve got company, and something tells me they’re not here for a chat.” Allen’s eyes scanned the terrain.
The walkway they were on was barely wide enough to fit all of them standing side by side, with jagged rocks jutting out from the walls and a sheer drop into the void below.
There was no room for evasive maneuvers, no space to properly fight.

“This isn’t good,” Alice muttered, her voice tense.
“If we try to fight here, we’ll be knocked off before we even draw blood.” “We need to change our battlefield,” Allen declared, already moving.
“There’s no way we’re fighting here.” Vivian nodded in agreement.
“But where?
We can’t just run in a straight line; we’ll be picked off.” “There’s an alcove up ahead,” Zoe pointed out, her eyes flashing as she spotted a small opening in the cliff wall a little further down the pathway.
“It’s not much, but it’s better than this.” “Go, now!” Allen ordered, taking the lead.
The group sprinted forward, their footsteps echoing as the distant growls and snarls of the approaching creatures grew louder.
The pathway beneath their feet was slick with moisture, threatening to send them tumbling into the abyss with every step, but they pressed on, knowing they had only seconds before they were overrun.
The alcove wasn’t much-just a small, jagged opening in the stone wall, barely large enough to accommodate all of them-but it was enough to give them some breathing room.
As they reached it, Allen turned, positioning himself at the entrance, his sword already drawn.
“Jane, Alice, take the rear with me.
We need to slow them down.” The others moved into position, weapons at the ready.
“They’re coming,” Bella whispered, her voice tight.
Allen could see them now-dark shapes emerging from the shadows, crawling across the narrow path toward them.
They were insectoid, like twisted, oversized centipedes with chitinous shells and multiple sets of glowing eyes.
Their mandibles clicked, and a low, guttural hiss filled the air as they approached.
Dozens of them, all moving in unison, their bodies undulating like a wave of darkness.
Obsidian Centipedes <Level 165> “Great, bugs.
Why are there always bugs?” Jane muttered, her voice dripping with irritation and disgust.
“I swear, if I have nightmares about these things crawling all over me after this…” “Let’s hope you don’t get close enough for that,” Allen said, his voice firm but laced with urgency.
He positioned himself at the front of the alcove, sword drawn, as the creatures rapidly closed the distance.
“Everyone, get ready.
We can’t let them swarm us.” “They’re fast!” Alice called out, her voice sharp with urgency.
“Concentrate!
Use area skills!
We need to control them!” Allen barked, his eyes locked on the swarm as it continued its approach.
Allen raised his hand, summoning his Dark Storm.
The others quickly followed suit.
Jane summoned her undead army.
Alice’s Shadow Bind dragged more of the creatures into dark tendrils, slowing their advance.
Shea unleashed a rain of Blade Feathers.
Some fell, but others kept pushing forward.
Vivian’s whip lashed out, striking any centipede that slipped past, while her Charm skill momentarily stunned the stragglers, giving Larissa the perfect opening.
Larissa created bloody spikes, sending them flying in all directions.
Meanwhile, Allen alternated between his Demonic Orbs and Telekinesis Blast, keeping the swarm at bay with a mix of far- and mid-ranged attacks.
Spells and attacks flew in every direction-fire, shadows, blood, and wind combined into a deadly attack.
The creatures screeched one last time before the final one collapsed, its exoskeleton cracking as it hit the stone floor.
Allen lowered his hand, exhaling sharply.
He glanced at his user interface and muttered, “One percent more.” Bella raised an eyebrow.
“Wait, I thought you already leveled up?” Allen shook his head, half-amused, half-frustrated.
“Yeah, but I’m stuck at 99%.
One more fight should do it.” Jane, who had been surveying the area, suddenly spoke up, her voice carrying a mix of excitement and concern.
“Guys, you need to see this!” Everyone’s attention snapped to her.
She was standing at the far end of the alcove, staring at the wall with wide eyes.
Allen’s curiosity piqued, and he quickly joined her.
The rest of the group followed.
“What is it?” Allen asked, his tone shifting from battle mode to intrigued.
He came to stand beside Jane.
His eyes scanned the wall, immediately catching sight of the ancient, glowing symbols carved deep into the stone.
They pulsed faintly.
