Chapter 1138: Oof, That Burn Chapter 1138: Oof, That Burn Villain Ch 1138.
Oof, That Burn James and Noah, the people closest to her, the ones she thought cared about her-they were using her.
She had known it in the back of her mind, but she hadn’t wanted to admit it.
They had pushed her to get close to Allen, to use her affection for him as a way to gather information, to forge connections that benefited them.
They didn’t care about her feelings.
They didn’t care about the love she felt for Allen from the bottom of her heart.
To them, she was just a means to an end.
Mila’s chest tightened, and before she knew it, hot tears began to spill down her cheeks.
She felt a sense of betrayal, not just by James and Noah, but by herself.
How could she have let this happen?
How could she have allowed herself to be used like this, all while pretending everything was fine?
Azura, standing beside her, noticed the shift in Mila’s expression-the tears, the distant look in her eyes.
Concern flickered across her face as she leaned in, her voice soft but urgent.
“What’s wrong?
Why are you crying?” Elio and Red_King, who had been focused on the argument between Zael and Otis, turned at the sound of Azura’s voice.
They both looked at Mila, their expressions filled with confusion and concern, but Mila didn’t answer.
She didn’t even seem to hear them.
Instead, she stepped forward, her feet moving on their own as if driven by something deep inside her.
There was a fire in her eyes now-determined.
Her heart pounded in her chest, and she felt a surge of courage wash over her, pushing her toward Zael.
Mila reached Zael’s side, standing next to him, her body trembling slightly.
She held her hand tightly, her fingers curling into a fist as she glared at Prince Otis and the king.
There was no hesitation in her voice, no fear.
“No one deserves to be anyone’s tool,” Mila said.
“If they don’t respect you, then leave.
We can leave this damned place and see how they survive without you, Zael.” The room fell into stunned silence.
Even Zael turned to look at her, his eyes wide with surprise.
The king’s expression darkened, his eyes narrowing as he regarded Mila with disdain.
“Who are you to speak to me in such a way?
This is a royal matter, not a discussion for commoners.” Mila didn’t flinch.

She met the king’s gaze head-on, her chin held high, her tears forgotten as her anger fueled her courage.
“I may be a commoner, but I know when something is wrong.
And what’s happening here is wrong.
You treat Zael like he’s nothing, but without him, you wouldn’t have a kingdom to rule.
You wouldn’t have survived the war without him.” Otis stepped forward, his face twisted with anger.
“How dare you speak to us like this?
Zael knows his place, and so should you.
He’s always been nothing more than a shield-a tool to be used for the kingdom’s benefit.
He’ll never be anything more than that.” But Mila wasn’t backing down.
She clenched her fists tighter, her voice rising with defiance.
“No!
Zael is more than just a tool!
He’s a person, with his own dreams, his own worth.
And if you can’t see that, then you don’t deserve him.” Red_King glanced at the others, a bewildered expression crossing his face.
“Why does this suddenly feel so personal for everyone?” he muttered, though there was a strange sense of pride in his voice, as if seeing his friends stand up like this stirred something in him.
But this-this felt different.
Azura turned toward him with a determined look.
“I’m joining them.” Her voice was calm but laced with anger.
“That prince and that damn king really frustrate me.” Elio, caught off guard, stammered, “What-” He didn’t even have time to finish his sentence before Azura stood up from her seat with an air of casual confidence, her expression sharp and focused.
“You know, I have a good idea, Your Majesty,” she began, her tone almost too casual for the situation.
“If you think Prince Otis deserves all the glory, why don’t you send him to the battlefield?
On the front line.
Without Zael and his troops at all.” She paused for a moment, her eyes locking onto the king’s.
“After all, you can’t possibly say a noble prince like Otis will lose to someone you call a mere tool like Zael, right?” The room erupted in murmurs, the audacity of Azura’s words rippling through the crowd.
The soldiers, the court officials, even some of the nobles began exchanging glances.
The challenge had been laid bare for everyone to see, and it was clear that the royal family was on the defensive.
Red_King, who had been watching with wide eyes, let out a low whistle.
“Oof, that burn.” Elio, equally stunned, hissed under his breath, “You just roasted the king.” The king’s face flushed with anger, his eyes narrowing as he stared down Azura.
“You dare speak to me in such a manner?” His voice was low and dangerous, the threat behind it clear.
“Who do you think you are to question my decisions?” Azura met his gaze unflinchingly, her eyes cold and unwavering.
“Someone who values the truth.” She spoke with a calm defiance that only seemed to infuriate the king further.
Prince Otis, still standing beside his father, took a step forward, his expression twisted with arrogance.
“You think I would lose on the battlefield?
You insult me, commoner.
I have led troops to victory.
I don’t need Zael or his worthless men.” Azura’s lips curled into a smirk.
“Then prove it.
Go fight without him.
Let’s see how well you fare when you don’t have Zael to clean up your mess.” Elio grinned, his eyes gleaming with excitement.
“Oh, this is interesting,” he said, standing up from his seat with a relaxed stretch.
His eyes locked on Prince Otis.
“Just don’t give us any dirty tasks after that.
Like, you know…
bringing your body home if you lose the war.” At that, Red_King, still seated with his arms crossed, shot back with a mock grimace.
“Or your head.
Ew…
that’s disgusting.” CREATORS’ THOUGHTS UnholyGod Your gift is the motivation for my creation.
