Chapter 1140: A Coward Who’s Going To Win Chapter 1140: A Coward Who’s Going To Win Villain Ch 1140.
A Coward Who’s Going To Win Father^Alex glanced at the laughing Prince Otis, his eyes narrowing in frustration.
He leaned toward Red_King and muttered under his breath, “Damn… The AI must be broken.” Red_King chuckled softly, shaking his head.
“My heart also almost broke because of you.
You just walked up to the king like it was nothing.” Father^Alex sighed, rubbing the back of his neck.
“Yeah, sorry about that.
That prince just really gets on my nerves.” Red_King smirked.
“You’ve got guts, I’ll give you that.
But next time, maybe warn us before you go making the king your problem?” Father^Alex grinned.
“No promises.” “You think you’ve won, huh?” Otis sneered, his eyes gleaming with a twisted satisfaction.
He stepped closer, his sword dragging along the floor with a metallic hiss, leaving a deep scratch on the stone.
His steps were slow, deliberate, as if savoring the moment.
Suddenly, Zael’s legs buckled beneath him, and he stumbled, barely catching himself before collapsing to the floor.
He tried to steady himself, but it was as if his strength was draining away from his body.
“What…
What’s happening?” Zael gasped, his voice weak.
He glanced around, his heart sinking as he saw his friends-Elio, Red_King, Azura, Mila, and Father^Alex-all falling one by one, their bodies crumpling to the ground.
Their eyes were wide with confusion, their limbs trembling as the same mysterious weakness overtook them.
“Shit…” Elio muttered, his voice barely a whisper as he collapsed onto his knees.
“He must have cheated…” His voice trailed off, and in moments, his body went limp.
The others followed suit, falling as if they were marionettes whose strings had been cut.
Though they were all still conscious, they couldn’t speak or move.
They couldn’t do anything but watch and listen.
It seemed it meant they died.
Zael, the only one left standing, struggled to stay upright, his breath coming in ragged gasps.
His friends-his comrades-were motionless around him, their eyes staring blankly at the ceiling.
His hands trembled as he stared at his friends’ lifeless forms.
“No… No…” His voice cracked with desperation, his eyes wide with horror.
His gaze snapped to Otis.
“You… You poisoned us.” His words were filled with disbelief and anger.

Otis’ cruel smile widened, and he chuckled darkly.
“Yes, of course, I did.” He twirled his sword lazily in his hand, his eyes gleaming with malice.
“You’re too dangerous, Zael.
Too strong.
I couldn’t let you walk out of here alive.
So yes…
I poisoned you.
And your friends, too.
Luckily for me, the poison worked just in time.” Zael’s legs finally gave out, and he fell to one knee, his sword clattering to the ground beside him.
He was too weak to stand, but it seemed his body betrayed him in his moment of need.
“Coward,” Zael spat, his voice trembling with rage.
“You always were a coward.” Otis’ eyes flashed with anger, but his smile never faltered.
“A coward?
Perhaps.
But a coward who’s going to win.” He lifted his sword, pointing it at Zael’s throat.
“Now, finish him off!” Otis barked the order to the remaining soldiers, who had been standing back.
Zael gritted his teeth, his grip tightening on the hilt of his sword as the soldiers advanced.
He was outnumbered, weakened, and barely able to stand, but he refused to give in.
With the last of his strength, he pushed himself to his feet, raising his sword in a final act of defiance.
The first soldier lunged at him, but Zael parried the blow, his movements slower and more labored than before.
Another soldier came at him from the side, but Zael twisted, dodging the attack and delivering a weak but precise strike to the man’s chest.
The soldier crumpled to the ground, but there were more-too many.
Zael fought as best he could, but still, he refused to fall.
Each strike looked like the last, and yet he continued.
One by one, he brought the soldiers down, his body battered and bloodied, but he knew it was only a matter of time before his strength gave out.
Finally, as the last soldier fell, Zael dropped to his knees, his sword slipping from his grasp.
His body was spent, his breaths shallow and ragged.
He had won the fight, but it had cost him everything.
Otis stood above him, untouched, his sword gleaming as he looked down at his brother with disdain.
“You’re done, Zael.
You’re finished.” Otis’ voice was filled with smug satisfaction, as though he had already won. But before he could finish the job, Otis turned to the king, his expression darkening.
With a swift motion, he raised his sword and plunged it into the king’s chest, the blade sinking deep into his father’s heart.
Zael’s eyes widened in horror.
“No!” The king gasped, his body jerking as the life drained from his eyes.
Blood pooled beneath him, staining the throne as Otis pulled the sword free and let the body slump forward.
He wiped the blood from the blade with a sickening nonchalance, a twisted grin on his face.
“I’ll blame it on you, of course,” Otis said with a cold laugh.
“The fallen prince who betrayed his own father.
The perfect story, don’t you think?” Otis turned back to Zael, raising his sword for the final blow.
“Now, dear brother, it’s time for you to die.” But before Otis could strike, a strange, eerie laugh filled the room.
The sound made both Zael and Otis pause, confusion flickering across their faces.
“Who’s there?” Otis demanded, his eyes darting around the room.
The laugh grew louder, more chilling, as a shadow began to form in the corner of the room.
The air grew colder, the shadows twisting and contorting as something-someone-materialized.
There, sitting on the throne where the dead king’s body lay slumped, was a figure cloaked in darkness.
His eyes glowed with an unnatural light.
Elio and the others quickly recognized him.
It was the Devil Emperor!
But, wasn’t this the devil emperor’s backstory?
And then they realized something else, this devil emperor was a different figure than the current emperor they knew.
