Chapter 1149: Different Chapter 1149: Different Villain Ch 1149.
Different Vivian leaned forward, her eyes gleaming with amusement.
“Oh, they’re going to talk about it for sure.
Even if nothing crazy happened, the tease is enough to set the forums on fire.” Shea chuckled, shaking her head.
“I can imagine that.
The fan theories are probably already exploding.” Jane looked around at the group with a smile.
“So, what are we going to do next?” she asked, shifting the conversation to something more immediate.
“We’ve had a lot of drama today, but I’m ready for some action.” Allen rubbed the back of his neck, his mind still a bit foggy from the intensity of the day.
“Maybe go hunting?
Although… I don’t have any good ideas for where to go.
My head’s still spinning from today’s event, to be honest.
I was pretty nervous through most of it.” Bella raised an eyebrow and smirked.
“You didn’t look nervous earlier.
You looked like you had it all under control.” Allen grinned, leaning back in his chair.
“That’s because I’m smart enough to cover it up.
No one needed to see the inner chaos.” Alice laughed.
“Well, you did a good job of faking it.
But we already hunted this afternoon, remember?” Zoe interjected, her eyes lighting up at the mention of hunting.
“I’m in.
After today’s event, the players are going to go crazy grinding and leveling up.
If we want to keep up, we should do the same.” Vivian nodded in agreement.
“Yeah, but where?
With the event hype, dungeons are going to be packed with players.
Especially anything related to undead or dark creatures.
Everyone’s going to want to ride the wave of today’s story.” Larissa tapped her chin thoughtfully.
“True, dungeons are likely to be full of players.
And that’ll mean more competition for loot and monsters.
Not to mention the overcrowding in areas that spawn undead mobs.
We should avoid those spots for a while.” Alice shrugged.
“Yeah, we don’t need to wade through the same hordes as everyone else.
Follow new episodes on the "N0vel1st.c0m".
Let’s pick a spot that’s quieter, where we can farm efficiently.” Zoe shot Alice a teasing glance.
“Why?
Are you scared of the competition?” Alice huffed in mock offense.
“Of course not.
But imagine this, all the male players are probably hyped after watching the event.
They’ll be trying to ‘revert the devil emperor back to Zael’, or maybe they’ll role-play as Zael’s noble supporters.
Meanwhile, the female players will be trying to ‘romance the Devil Emperor,’ just like in the event.
It’s going to be ridiculous.” Bella grimaced, the image too vivid in her mind.
“Ugh, I can already hear them.
They’ll probably use their ‘babbling skill’ to try and bring Zael back to his righteous self.
Like some kind of tragic hero redemption arc.” Larissa rolled her eyes.
“Sounds boring.” Allen laughed.
“Yeah, it’ll be wild out there, but let’s not get caught up in all that mess.
How about we try hunting in the fields instead?
Away from the hype.” The girls all exchanged glances, nodding in agreement.
“Then how about the Beast Forest?” Allen suggested.
“It’s far enough from the dungeons, and the mobs there will give us decent experience points without the overcrowding.
Plus, the loot’s good.” Vivian tapped the table, thoughtful.
“Beast Forest sounds good.
It’s quieter, and we won’t have to deal with hordes of players trying to break the game lore by killing every undead creature.” Zoe nodded eagerly.
“Agreed.
Let’s head there.
We’ll get some solid grinding in before the hype dies down.” “But first,” Allen said, standing up from his chair.
“I need to go to the market and pick up my money from the auction.
The stuff I listed last time probably sold by now.” Alice stood up as well.
“We’ll come with you.
We need to grab some potions and supplies that we can’t find here in the Cursed Crypts.
Better to stock up before we head out.” Larissa added, “Yeah.
We’ll find better deals in the city.
Some alchemists sell better quality potions than NPC.” The group got to their feet.
They left the meeting room and made their way through the portal room.
As usual, they used their disguise skills.
Ront City’s marketplace was bustling as usual, filled with the clamor of players buying and selling, merchants shouting out their wares, and the constant conversations as players haggled over prices.
“I’ll grab the auction earnings, and we can meet up at the potion vendor,” Allen said to the group as they split off to gather their own supplies.
Allen quickly made his way to the auction NPC and checked the status of his listings.
A smile tugged at the corner of his lips as the notifications flashed in front of him-his items had sold for a substantial profit.
Just as he was about to head back and regroup with the others, a familiar presence made him pause.
Elio, standing only a few feet behind him.
Allen’s eyes widened slightly in surprise-Elio rarely approached him like this, especially without any prelude.
Their rivalry had cooled recently, particularly as Elio’s relationship with Darren, Liam, and Sophia had soured.
The rivalry between them had faded, but they still kept a cautious distance from one another.
Seeing Elio here, out of the blue, was… unexpected.
For a brief moment, neither of them spoke.
Elio looked like he wanted to say something but couldn’t quite figure out where to start, his usual confident demeanor replaced by a flicker of uncertainty.
It was strange-almost unsettling-to see Elio like this.
“Elio,” Allen said, breaking the silence with a raised eyebrow.
“Didn’t expect to see you here.” Elio shifted his weight awkwardly, rubbing the back of his neck.
“Yeah… uh, I guess.
I just… I’ve been meaning to talk to you.” Allen’s surprise deepened.
Elio was never one to mince words, and the awkwardness felt foreign coming from him.
“About?” Allen asked, trying to keep his tone neutral but feeling the curiosity creep in.
Elio hesitated for a second, his gaze darting around the bustling marketplace as if searching for something, anything, to anchor himself.
“I… I don’t really know how to say this,” he muttered, his voice quieter than usual.
“But, uh, I’ve noticed how things have been… different.” CREATORS’ THOUGHTS UnholyGod Your gift is the motivation for my creation.
