- Chapter 1152 - Chapter 1152 We’ve Got Ourselves A Puppy
Chapter 1152: We’ve Got Ourselves A Puppy Chapter 1152: We’ve Got Ourselves A Puppy Villain Ch 1152.
We’ve Got Ourselves A Puppy Vivian was the first to speak, her red eyes gleaming with amusement.
“Well, that was quite the interesting show,” she teased, her voice dripping with playful sarcasm.
Allen rolled his eyes, trying to brush off their teasing.
“It wasn’t a show, it was just…
a conversation,” he said, though the blush creeping up his neck betrayed his attempt at casual indifference.
Vivian smirked, crossing her arms as she leaned in a bit closer.
“A conversation that ended in a hug?” She raised an eyebrow.
“I thought you said you were going to the auction to collect your money.
Instead, we got…
this.” Shea chuckled, nudging Larissa.
“Right?
I expected a quick trip to the auction NPC, not some heartfelt drama playing out in the middle of the marketplace.” Allen sighed, running a hand through his hair.
“Look, she was going through something, and I was just…
trying to help.” “Help?” Jane repeated, her eyes glinting mischievously.
“It looked like you were doing more than just helping.” Allen gave her a flat look.
“It wasn’t like that, okay?
Mila’s dealing with some stuff with James and Noah, and she’s trying to break free from them.
It’s complicated.” “Mmm-hmm, complicated,” Zoe said, her tone mockingly serious.
The group broke into laughter, and even Allen had to laugh a little.
“You guys are impossible,” he muttered, though the smile on his face gave away his amusement.
“Let’s go hunt now.” Five minutes later, Allen and the group were trekking through the Beast Forest, feeling a bit more relaxed than usual.
The forest was dense, with twisted trees towering above them, their branches twisting and turning.
The atmosphere should have been unsettling, but for once, it wasn’t.
This hunt was a welcome break from the high-stakes battles they were used to-more like a casual hangout than anything dangerous.
The distant growls and footsteps of lurking monsters echoed through the forest.
Despite the eerie sounds, they were all unfazed.
Nothing here posed the same kind of threat they had faced in the Rift.
Vivian smirked as she walked beside Allen.
“You know, it’s crazy how the event turned so…

personal.
Did you see the look on Red_King’s face when he realized what was happening?” Allen chuckled, remembering the moment vividly.
“Yeah, he looked like someone just slapped him.
That whole thing with Zael-he was definitely not ready for that.” Shea flapped her wings lightly, keeping her balance as they moved through a particularly tricky patch of overgrown roots.
“I don’t think anyone was ready for how real it got.” “Especially Mila,” Alice chimed in, her voice thoughtful.
“I mean, did you see her when Otis said that line about being a tool?
That hit way too close to home for her.” Allen glanced over at Alice.
” I didn’t really notice it since I was caught up in everything.
I was nervous.
But honestly, with all the stuff she’s been through with James and Noah, I think it finally hit her how much she’s been used.” “It’s wild how a game event can bring out those kinds of realizations,” Zoe added, stepping over a fallen log with ease.
“But honestly, I’m glad it did.
Maybe it’s what she needed to finally break away from those guys.” “You could say the whole thing flipped on its head,” Larissa said with a grin.
“The winners totally bought into it.” “Yeah, but honestly,” Allen interjected, “I think they were so caught up in trying to figure out how to beat the devil emperor that they didn’t even realize how much they were starting to feel for Zael’s character.” Vivian laughed and glanced at Allen, a mischievous glint in her eye.
“You know what’s funny?
They thought they could manipulate you into revealing some deep weakness, but they ended up sympathizing with the ‘villain’ more than anything.” “And then there’s Elio,” Shea said, her tone light but pointed.
“He really had his own little crisis in there, didn’t he?” “He did,” Allen agreed, the memory of Elio’s conflicted expression coming back to him.
Elio even went to him to say sorry.
“I think he saw a lot of himself in Zael, especially the part about sacrifice and loyalty.
That really shook him.” A loud, guttural roar echoed from deeper within the forest broke their conversation.
Leaves rustled and branches snapped as a half-beast, half-demon creature charged toward them, its massive form bulldozing through the foliage like it owned the place.
The creature burst into the clearing, revealing itself.
Dire Hellhound <Level 133> Its eyes glowed an angry red, and dark energy crackled through its bristling fur.
The Hellhound snarled, exposing gleaming fangs, but the group just stared at it flatly.
“Level 133?
Looks like we’ve got ourselves a puppy,” Jane commented with a raised eyebrow, barely hiding her boredom.
“This thing doesn’t stand a chance.” The Hellhound lunged, snarling viciously, but Zoe stepped forward calmly, flicking her wrist to activate Depths’ Grasp.
Dark tendrils of water shot up from the ground, wrapping around the Hellhound’s legs and freezing it in place.
The creature let out a pitiful howl, but it was already over for it.
[You just hit a Dire Hellhound for 4,860 HP.] “Let’s get this done quickly,” Zoe said casually, her tone almost disappointed in how easy this was.
Vivian grinned, rolling her eyes.
“Oh, please, this thing’s as good as dead.” With a flick of her hand, her claws glowed with dark energy as she activated Demonic Frenzy, dashing forward in a blur.
She struck the Hellhound, tearing into its fur like a hot knife through butter.
[Demonic Frenzy activated.] [You hit the Dire Hellhound for 6,532 HP.] The Hellhound barely let out a final growl before collapsing onto the forest floor.
“Nice and easy,” Zoe said, dusting off her hands like she’d just done some light house cleaning.
“Effortless,” Jane added with a smirk, shaking her head.
“This really is just a walk in the park.” But the forest wasn’t done with them yet.
As soon as the Hellhound collapsed, the ground rumbled again.
The roar that followed was even louder, and from the trees, a much larger shadow loomed.
“Really?” Bella said, her eyes looked at the monster flatly.
