Chapter 1165: Mr.
Responsible Chapter 1165: Mr.
Responsible Villain Ch 1165.
Mr.
Responsible For a brief moment, Jordan’s expression softened, his brows knitting together as he took in her words.
But just as quickly, he straightened, the resolve back in his eyes.
“This isn’t just about you, Emma.
You’ve shown a pattern of reckless behavior, and it’s clear that a line needs to be drawn.
This isn’t only for you but for everyone else involved.” Emma pressed her lips together, a hint of defiance creeping back into her eyes.
“You’ve already made me apologize.
Isn’t that enough?” “Enough?” Jordan’s tone was clipped, his eyes narrowing.
“You’re not a child anymore.
You’re capable of understanding the impact your actions have on others.
But if you can’t, then maybe a little time away will give you that perspective.” “But Dad-” she started again, and her voice cracked, desperation slipping through.
“Emma.” Jordan’s voice was low and final.
“This isn’t up for negotiation.
You need to understand that actions have consequences, and you don’t get to ignore that because it’s inconvenient.” Emma’s face crumpled, and Allen couldn’t help himself this time.
He cleared his throat, drawing both their gazes.
“Look, I get why you’re mad, Dad,” he said cautiously, “but maybe there’s another way.
I mean, she’s still learning, right?
Maybe she could…
I don’t know, make up for it somehow?” He couldn’t believe he stepped up for her despite being angry.
Emma’s eyes darted to him, filled with hope.
Jordan looked between them both, his jaw tightening.
“And what would that entail, Allen?
More empty promises?” “No,” Allen said, his tone steady.
“She’d actually work with the developers and the staff, understand the impact of what she did firsthand.
Something that’d give her the perspective she needs and teach her more about responsibility.” Emma nodded quickly.
“Yes!
I’ll do it.
Follow new episodes on the "N0vel1st.c0m".
I’ll work with them, do whatever they need.
I promise.” Jordan studied her, his expression unreadable.
The silence stretched, and for a moment, Allen thought his father might actually consider the compromise.
“It’s an interesting idea, actually,” Jordan said finally, crossing his arms as he looked down at Emma.
“Responsibility is something you clearly need to learn more about.
I don’t want you growing up to be a spoiled young lady.” Allen had to hold back a smirk.
‘Too late for that,’ he thought, though he kept the remark to himself.
This wasn’t exactly the time to poke fun.
Emma’s shoulders relaxed a bit, the tension in her face easing.
“So… does that mean you’re not banning me?” She glanced at Allen with gratitude, her eyes wide, clinging to this glimmer of hope.
Jordan raised a brow.
“Not so fast.
I’m not letting you off the hook just because Allen came up with a clever solution.
You’ve got a lot to make up for, Emma, and working with the developers isn’t going to be easy.
They’ll expect you to take real responsibility, and you’ll be reporting back to me every step of the way.” Emma swallowed hard, her earlier defiance entirely replaced with humility.
“Yes, I get it, Dad.
I’ll do it.
I’ll do whatever it takes.” She looked down at her plate, clearly fighting back emotions.
“I know I messed up.” Jordan’s expression softened slightly.
“It’s not about the game.
It’s about understanding that your actions don’t happen in a vacuum.
You disrupted a whole team, nearly ruined a major event, and for what?
A moment of satisfaction?” Emma winced, her hands tightening into fists.
“I thought it’d be fun… something I’d laugh about later,” she admitted, almost to herself.
“But I get it now.
I really do.” Allen leaned back, relieved to see that she was finally starting to get it-or at least, he hoped she was.
He’d seen Emma get out of scrapes before with that same look of remorse, but this time felt different, maybe because it had been their father giving her a direct reality check.
Jordan sighed, finally sitting down across from them.
He ran a hand through his hair, looking more like their dad than the stern billionaire they usually saw.
“Emma, you’re smart and capable.
I know that.
But you can’t treat life like it’s one big game where everyone’s waiting to clean up your messes.” He gestured toward Allen.
“Allen here gets it.
He’s worked hard for everything he has, and he doesn’t rely on shortcuts.
I want you to learn from that.” Emma glanced over at Allen, who just shrugged.
“Hey, you heard him.
I’m the responsible one,” he said with a small smile, trying to lighten the mood.
She managed a weak chuckle, rolling her eyes.
“Fine, Mr.
Responsible,” she muttered, though a hint of gratitude lingered in her tone.
She turned back to their dad.
“I’ll be different this time, Dad.
I promise.” Jordan nodded, though his expression remained stern.
“Words are cheap.
Prove it to me.” “I will,” she replied, determination hardening her voice.
She looked down, her fingers nervously playing with the edge of her plate.
“I’ll make it right.” Allen noticed her trembling hand and gave her a nudge.
“Hey, it’s not the end of the world.
This might actually be good for you.” Emma snorted, trying to play it off.
“Yeah, yeah.
Don’t start with the ‘tough love’ pep talk.
I already got the deluxe version.” She shot him a playful glare, but the gratitude in her eyes was undeniable.
Jordan leaned back, crossing his arms again.
“Now, I’ll contact the developers tomorrow and let them know you’ll be joining them.
You’re not just going to be sitting on the sidelines either.” Emma nodded quickly.
“Got it.” “Don’t think you’re off the hook just because you’re taking responsibility either,” Jordan added, giving Emma a pointed look as he finally picked up his fork.
“If there’s another slip-up like this, Emma, there won’t be any second chances.” Emma nodded vigorously, swallowing a bit too quickly.
“Got it, Dad.
Loud and clear.” They began to eat in relative quiet, but the tension had lifted just enough for Emma to sneak a glance over at Allen.
