‘Wait… is he taking me to a seaside restaurant?’ she wondered.

Most places would’ve closed by now, and she mentally gave him points for effort, guessing he’d be disappointed to find it shut.

But Allen surprised her, pulling up in front of a tall building instead of some late-night café.

The sleek, modern lines of the building glinted in the dim light, and a luxurious hotel sign gleamed above the entrance.

Bella froze, the implications hitting her all at once.

‘Wait… is he going to… “eat” me here?’ Her cheeks burned at the thought.

She didn’t exactly mind, but she had planned for dinner, not… “dessert”.

If he’d planned something else, she’d need more energy than her current state allowed, and frankly, she’d be done for if they jumped straight to that without food.

Allen parked his bike in the basement, his calm expression doing little to ease her racing thoughts.

They walked together to the elevator, and as he pressed the button for one of the upper floors, she glanced at him curiously, her stomach flipping with a mix of anticipation and nerves.

She hadn’t even asked where they were going.

Everything about him seemed so calm, so certain, and it only made her mind wander further.

They stepped into the elevator, and Bella couldn’t resist throwing him a mischievous glance, hoping to gauge his intentions.

“Sooo… are you gonna tell me what’s going on, or do I have to keep guessing?” Allen smirked, crossing his arms as he leaned back against the elevator wall.

“You’ll see soon enough.

Just trust me.” His answer was cryptic enough to keep her curiosity piqued, but at the same time, his tone was relaxed, almost casual.

She breathed out a sigh, leaning her back against the opposite wall, catching his gaze from the other side of the small space.

The elevator doors opened on one of the higher floors, and they stepped out into a beautifully lit corridor lined with windows that overlooked the ocean.

Her heart did a little flip, and any remaining thoughts of wild speculation vanished.

Whatever he’d planned, he’d put effort into it.

And she couldn’t help but feel flattered, charmed, and maybe even a little bit smitten.

They reached a set of double doors leading to an expansive balcony area, set up with cozy, private tables and fairy lights strung above, casting a soft glow.

She blinked, staring at the view, the sound of the ocean filling the air.

“Allen… this is incredible,” she whispered, still a bit stunned as she took it all in.

“How did you find this place?” He shrugged, a small smile tugging at his lips as he pulled out a chair for her.

“I’ve got my ways.

Figured a view like this would be worth the trip.” Bella slipped into the seat, feeling more than a little flustered as Allen took the chair across from her.

The breeze drifted in from the balcony, carrying with it the faint scent of the sea, mingling with the soft glow of the evening lights.

She could just make out the steady crash of waves below.
