Chapter 1175: Hallucinations?
Chapter 1175: Hallucinations?
Villain Ch 1175.
Hallucinations?
She let her gaze linger on Mr.
Bell, her smile soft and inviting as she leaned a little closer.
“So… what are you doing after this?” she asked, letting her voice drop just slightly, enough to suggest more than casual curiosity.
She was casting her net, just as she’d done before with Liam and Darren.
If she could get him alone, somewhere private, everything else would fall into place.
One night, one moment of weakness on his part, and she’d have him right where she wanted.
Mr.
Bell looked at her, then offered a polite, almost practiced smile.
“Actually, I’ve got some work lined up after this.
Meeting with the owner tonight.” He glanced at his watch, then gave her an apologetic look.
“It’s going to be a late one, I’m afraid.” Sophia’s eyes flicked to the clock on the wall.
It was nearly ten o’clock-an odd time for a business meeting, especially with someone in his position.
It didn’t take a genius to realize he was deflecting, trying to find a way out without being direct.
Still, she didn’t let her own smile falter.
“At this hour?” she murmured, her eyebrows raising just slightly as she reached for her wine glass.
She sipped slowly, watching him over the rim with that familiar, practiced gaze that had softened men’s hearts countless times before.
Mr.
Bell cleared his throat, avoiding her eyes.
“Yes, you know how these things go.
Last-minute changes, clients with busy schedules.” Undeterred, Sophia set her glass down and reached across the table, lightly touching his wrist.
“Come on, Thomas,” she said, letting his name roll off her tongue in that soft, sweet way she knew he liked.
“You’re the one in charge.
You can let them wait a little longer, can’t you?” He looked down at her hand on his wrist, pausing for a moment.
She could see the hesitation there, a flicker of temptation he was struggling to push away.
But he withdrew his hand, a slight, uncomfortable smile appearing on his face.
“Sophia, I really can’t,” he said, his tone gentle but firm.

“It’s important, and I’ve already committed to it.” She leaned back, her fingers playing idly with her wine glass as she kept her gaze fixed on him.
“Are you sure?
You look like you could use a break,” she said, letting her voice turn soft and concerned, a tactic she’d used so many times before.
“A little time to unwind, just the two of us?” Mr.
Bell gave her a polite smile, shaking his head.
“I appreciate that.
Really, I do.
But work… well, it comes first.” He sounded almost apologetic, but there was a finality to his tone that told her he wasn’t going to budge.
Sophia’s smile tightened ever so slightly, but she quickly covered it with a small laugh, brushing off his rejection as if it didn’t bother her.
She’d gone as far as she could tonight, and it was clear he wasn’t going to cross that line-at least not now.
She gave him one last playful smile.
“Alright, alright.
I suppose I’ll just have to let you go this time.” Mr.
Bell gave her a relieved nod, taking the hint.
He raised his hand to signal the waiter, who quickly came over with the bill.
Mr.
Bell paid all, not sparing a second glance at the total, and Sophia watched him, feeling a faint sting of disappointment mixed with the lingering excitement of the night.
He’d resisted her advances, but she knew she’d planted the seed.
Given time, she could be patient.
While Mr.
Bell signed the bill, Sophia stood, excusing herself to the restroom to gather her thoughts and recompose herself.
She took her time, running a hand through her hair, straightening her dress, and giving herself a quick, confident smile in the mirror.
She was in control.
She’d just have to wait for the right moment to make her next move.
When she returned to the dining area, she paused, her attention suddenly caught by something near the balcony.
She squinted, disbelief and confusion clouding her thoughts as she saw Allen-yes, Allen-standing near the edge, a girl close to him.
He leaned in, his face hovering over her neck, and Sophia froze as she realized what she was seeing.
Allen bit down, and the girl shivered, her expression a mixture of surprise and what looked like pleasure.
Sophia’s heart pounded, her mind racing to process what she was witnessing.
She felt an icy wave of shock wash over her as she stood rooted to the spot, her eyes wide, staring.
The Allen she knew was playful, lighthearted, hardly the type to engage in such an intense, intimate gesture in public.
But here he was, utterly absorbed, completely different from anything she’d seen in him before.
Her stomach twisted with a strange blend of curiosity, jealousy, and anger.
‘Who is this girl?
And what is he doing to her?’ The intimacy struck her, and she felt a sudden surge of resentment.
She’d gone through so much effort, trying to manipulate her way into the world of men like Mr.
Bell, and here was Allen, standing in front of her, showing a side of himself she’d never even glimpsed.
Mr.
Bell appeared behind her, his voice breaking the spell.
“Sophia?
Is everything alright?” he asked, his tone both curious and a little impatient.
She blinked, pulling herself out of the shock that had rooted her to the spot, her gaze snapping back to him.
“Yes… yes, of course,” she replied quickly, forcing a smile as she brushed off the tension.
Her heart was still pounding, and her mind was racing, but she knew better than to let him see any hint of what was going on inside her head.
Mr.
Bell’s eyes lingered on her, his expression puzzled, but he didn’t press further.
He gave a polite nod toward the door.
“Shall we?” “Of course,” she said, her voice steady, though her heart felt anything but.
She stole one last glance back at the balcony, half-expecting to see Allen again, but he was already gone, swallowed by the shadows.
The girl, too, had disappeared as if they’d been nothing more than a strange illusion.
