Chapter 1185: Lesson Learned!
Villain Ch 1185.
Lesson Learned!
“I mean, here I am, thinking everything’s going according to plan, and then bam-out of nowhere, you’re there, throwing everything into chaos just to kick me around a bit.
And it wasn’t just annoying.
It was… nerve-wracking, alright?” he added.
Emma winced, her head lowering slightly as she fiddled with the chocolate box, tracing her fingers along its edge.
“I know.
You don’t have to remind me… Dad’s already made sure I know exactly how out of line I was.” Allen raised an eyebrow.
“But you said you only regret it half.
Doesn’t exactly scream ‘lesson learned,’ does it?” Emma paused, biting her lip as she avoided his gaze.
Her fingers tightened around the box.
“Fine… I regret it completely, okay?
Happy?” He scoffed.
“You’re still not being honest.” Before Emma could answer, the dining room door swung open, and their father, Jordan, stepped inside.
His presence was immediate, the usual air of calm authority replaced by something sterner.
Allen and Emma both straightened instinctively as he walked in, his gaze immediately landing on them.
Allen managed a slight smile, attempting to keep the mood light.
“Morning, Dad.” Jordan nodded, his expression unwavering.
“Morning,” he replied in a steady tone, though there was a tension in his voice.
He turned his eyes to Emma, who seemed to shrink slightly under his gaze, her hands fidgeting in her lap.
“I see you’re all ready to come face the staff with me today,” he said, his voice laced with a subtle edge.
Emma nodded, her voice barely more than a murmur.
“Yes, Dad.” Jordan’s gaze lingered on her for a moment, his expression unreadable before he finally sighed, settling into his seat.
“Good.
Let’s eat.” The three of them began to fill their plates.
Allen kept his eyes down, focusing on his food, deciding it was best not to say much.
The tension was thick enough without him adding to it.
Emma’s situation was already bad, and from the stern look on Jordan’s face, she didn’t need any more reminders of her mistakes.

As for Allen, he was grateful his dad hadn’t brought up the fact he didn’t come home last night-no sense in stirring up extra trouble.
Emma picked at her food, her posture stiff and uncomfortable.
Allen could tell she was bracing herself, likely replaying her mistake in her head, trying to gauge just how mad their dad still was.
Jordan’s eyes occasionally flickered toward her, a sternness in his gaze that kept her squirming, though he said nothing, letting the silence do most of the work.
It was his way of keeping her in line-Jordan didn’t need to yell to make his disappointment known.
Once breakfast was over, Jordan cleared his throat, pushing back his chair.
“Alright, Emma.
Let’s get going,” he said, his tone clipped but steady.
“We’ve got a long day ahead at Hell’s Gate HQ.” Emma nodded, swallowing hard as she stood, clearly dreading whatever awaited her.
She looked at Allen for a second, as if hoping for a last bit of support.
He gave her a small nod, his silent way of telling her to ‘hang in there’.
Without a word, Emma followed Jordan out.
Allen watched them go.
As rough as it was, Emma had to learn, and she’d have to handle whatever awaited her at HQ.
Once they left, Allen headed back to his room.
He sank down in his chair, leaning back for a moment and letting out a long sigh.
He had his own work to get to, after all.
Firing up his laptop, he quickly opened up his story document and got to work, typing away as he continued his latest chapter.
After a couple of hours, he took a break, stretching his arms over his head.
His gaze drifted to his gaming setup.
Maybe it was time to log into Hell’s Gate, and see if anything interesting was going on.
He put on his VR device, watching the familiar loading screen flash before his eyes.
Once he was in, the usual dark Cursed Crypts greeted him.
Instead of diving right into the chat and checking on the girls, Allen decided to knock out his daily quest first, killing ten players.
As the Devil Emperor, it was routine work.
A little hunt, a bit of chaos, and he’d be set for the day.
Within minutes, he found himself facing a few unlucky players, taking them down swiftly.
He moved with efficiency, completing his quest faster than he’d expected.
Satisfied, he decided to switch things up and slip into his assassin persona, Al.
The war event would be coming soon so he needed to buy some upgrade materials for his gears.
He teleported to Ront City, the main marketplace, hoping to pick up some upgrade stones and a few runes to boost his gear.
Ront was usually bustling with players buying, selling, and trading items, but today, there was something different.
Once he appeared in the city, he noticed it was more crowded than usual.
Players were gathered everywhere, filling the streets with chatter and excitement.
And then he saw it-the reason for the unusual crowd.
A group of players walked by in what looked like wedding attire.
The women were decked out in intricate white wedding dresses, complete with veils, but the dresses had been cleverly designed to allow for full mobility, perfect for any unexpected battle or ambush.
The men wore suits, tailored and sharp, with just enough of a fantasy edge to blend into Hell’s Gate’s dark aesthetic.
They were moving in pairs, holding hands, laughing, and posing for screenshots with friends.
A few were even throwing virtual flower petals, and heart-shaped confetti floated in the air around them.
Allen paused, staring in surprise.
What was going on?
He shook his head, trying to process the sight.
It wasn’t like he hadn’t heard about the game’s wedding feature before.
Hell’s Gate had offered players the option to “marry” each other for a while now, and he’d seen the occasional couple get hitched for some buffs.
But this?
This was next level.
There had to be some kind of in-game event happening, something bigger than just a few players deciding to tie the virtual knot.
