Chapter 1186: Eternal Blood Oaths Chapter 1186: Eternal Blood Oaths Villain Ch 1186.
Eternal Blood Oaths Curious, Allen opened the event log and started skimming through the announcements.
Sure enough, a new event was listed in bold letters near the top: “The Uniting of Eternal Blood Oaths – Special Wedding Event!” He raised an eyebrow, reading on.
Apparently, the event was designed to “celebrate bonds that transcend life and death,” and players could “unite in eternal blood oaths.” The whole description was dripping with the game’s typical dark flair, making it sound less like a wedding and more like a pact for shared power-and maybe a little mutual destruction thrown in for good measure.
Couples who participated would receive special boosts, unique gear, and access to rare quests that only married players could access.
Allen couldn’t help but smirk.
‘Of course.’ Hell’s Gate would put a twisted spin on a wedding event, making it sound like some kind of gothic blood pact.
“Guess this explains the crowd,” he muttered under his breath, scanning the players around him.
Some of them were already taking advantage of the event perks, setting up duel challenges and showing off their shiny new gear.
He had to admit, the devs had pulled out all the stops.
But the weirdest part?
He was actually kind of intrigued. The idea of an “eternal blood oath” sounded absurdly over-the-top, even for Hell’s Gate, but the perks were tempting.
He’d heard rumors of the unique items players could get from these “blood marriages,” and he couldn’t deny it was smart.
The devs knew exactly how to lure players in.
Still, Allen shook his head, dismissing the thought.
‘Marriage in-game?
Yeah, no.
Not my thing.’ Making his way deeper into Ront City’s market district, he pushed past the growing crowds, ignoring the laughter and shouts of excited players.
But just as he reached one of the merchants selling rare stones, he felt a light tap on his shoulder.
He turned to see a female player with fiery red hair, dressed in sleek rogue armor that hugged her frame.
A high-level warrior, judging by her gear-definitely no beginner.
She grinned at him, eyes wide with excitement.
“Oh, I know you!” she exclaimed, her voice rising a little with excitement.
“You’re that assassin who managed to land a hit on the Devil Emperor last time, right?” Allen blinked, caught off guard.
He hadn’t expected anyone to greet him, but he nodded, keeping it cool.
“Yeah, that’s me.” The warrior’s eyes lit up, and she leaned in closer.
“Are you… married?
I mean, in-game, obviously,” she clarified, her cheeks turning a faint pink.
“Because, well… I don’t have a partner yet for this whole ‘eternal blood oath’ thing, and I was thinking…” Allen took a step back, hands raised.
“Uh, sorry.
Follow new episodes on the "N0vel1st.c0m".
Not interested,” he said quickly.
He forced a polite smile, nodding once before turning away, hoping that would end it.
But he barely made it a few steps before he was interrupted again.
“Wait!” another voice called from behind him.
This time it was a female mage in shimmering silver robes, her staff glowing faintly with a blue aura.
She looked just as eager, if not more so.
“Are you the one who fought against the Devil Emperor?” He sighed inwardly, glancing back at her.
“Yeah, that’s me,” he replied, keeping his tone neutral.
She clapped her hands together, her face lighting up with enthusiasm.
“Oh, perfect!
So, I was wondering… are you already married in the game?
Because I’d love to team up with someone like you.
Just think of the quest rewards we could score!” Allen rubbed the back of his neck.
“Yeah, still not interested,” he said, stepping away a little faster this time.
“Good luck finding a partner, though.” He turned back to the marketplace, determined to finish his errands, but out of nowhere, more and more female players started approaching him, each of them asking the same question in various forms.
“Hey, you’re that assassin, right?
The one who’s infamous for attacking the Devil Emperor?” “Al, you’re so skilled!
Would you consider marrying me in-game?” “Partner up with me!
I’m a top-tier healer-you wouldn’t regret it!” Allen’s patience was wearing thin, and he could feel himself getting frustrated.
This was exactly why he avoided the spotlight.
Being recognized as the assassin who fought the Devil Emperor had its perks, sure, but now it was turning into a magnet for unwanted attention.
One particularly bold player, a knight in gleaming plate armor, stepped directly into his path, crossing her arms and looking him up and down with an appraising eye.
“You look like someone who could handle themselves in a fight,” she remarked, smirking.
“I need a strong partner for this event.
What do you say?
We’d make an unstoppable team.” Allen sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose.
“Look, no offense, but I’m just here to buy some gear, not sign up for a blood oath marriage, alright?” The knight raised an eyebrow, clearly not used to being turned down.
“Really?
You sure?
You’d be missing out.” “Yeah, I’m sure,” he replied, already sidestepping her and making his way through the crowd.
But the attention didn’t stop.
Everywhere he went, players-mostly female seemed to have locked onto him as their target.
The once-bustling marketplace now felt like a maze of eager suitors.
It was absurd.
‘Alright, this is getting out of hand!’ He took a deep breath, considering using his Hiding skill, but he knew the problem, once he activated it, he’d be cloaked, but he’d lose the ability to browse the stalls and pick up any items he wanted.
It was a good skill for sneaking around, but not exactly ideal when he actually wanted to interact with the market.
He quickened his pace instead, ducking down side streets and weaving through the clusters of players.
But even as he tried to lose himself in the crowd, he could feel the eyes on him, feel the footsteps shadowing his own.
It was like they were homing in on him.
‘Just keep walking,’ he told himself.
‘Get out of this area, and maybe they’ll back off.’ But his plan was cut short when he felt a sudden tap on his shoulder, and before he could react, a strong force gripped his arm, yanking him backward and into a narrow alleyway between two tall buildings.
He stumbled, caught off guard, and looked up to see a figure standing in front of him.
