- Chapter 1188 - Chapter 1188 Go For The Top of The Food Chain
Chapter 1188: Go For The Top of The Food Chain Chapter 1188: Go For The Top of The Food Chain Villain Ch 1188.
Go For The Top of The Food Chain Allen’s frown deepened.
“Then why aren’t you guys married yet?
I thought everyone was jumping on this event.
Aren’t you three supposed to be, like, pro-event players?” Elio smirked, shrugging.
“Hey, I want to get married for the perks.
I actually promised a female player I’d partner up with her… but she won’t be online until tonight.
So I’m stuck waiting it out.
And no, it’s not Sophia,” he added quickly, rolling his eyes at the mere mention of the name.
Red_King nodded.
“Same here.
Got a partner lined up, but she’s got her own schedule.
It’s like waiting for a raid party to log in.” Mastercraft scratched the back of his head.
“Yep, same situation.
The person I’m marrying has a work shift right now.
So we’re all kind of… in limbo.” Allen glanced over at Father^Alex, who looked like he was barely holding it together.
“And Alex?” Mastercraft chuckled softly.
“Alex… he doesn’t even know if he’s getting married or not.
Poor guy’s a little traumatized from all the aggressive proposals he’s gotten so far.” Allen nodded, trying to keep a straight face, though he couldn’t help but smirk.
“Yeah, I can see that.” He leaned back, letting out a deep breath as he stared down the alley.
“Guess I’m in the same boat, then.
Looks like today’s a bust for me too.” Elio suddenly straightened, a mischievous glint in his eyes.
“Oh, and get this,” he began, his voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper.
“Apparently, some female players are actually setting their sights higher.
Heard they’re going after the Devil Emperor himself as a marriage candidate.” Allen blinked, taken aback.
“That’s impossible.
The Devil Emperor is an AI.
No way he’s part of this whole blood oath wedding thing.” Elio laughed, crossing his arms.
“Tell that to the girls throwing themselves at him.
They figure if the event even slightly acknowledges him as a character, he’s fair game.” Allen shook his head, still in disbelief.

“They really think they can marry an AI?
That’s the most desperate thing I’ve ever heard.” Red_King snorted.
“I don’t know if they actually expect a marriage certificate, but they’re definitely trying.
Shanty and Valkyrie had romanced him during the last event, right?
So they’re taking their chances.
Betting on a miracle or something.” Allen couldn’t help but laugh, though it had a hint of incredulity.
“They’re seriously trying to make the Devil Emperor a love interest?
I thought they were just ambitious, but this… this is next level.” Mastercraft nodded, his face half-amused, half-bewildered.
“Yep.
Apparently, if they can’t snag one of the top players, they’re going straight for the literal top of the food chain.” Allen shook his head, muttering to himself.
“Unbelievable.” Elio smirked, shrugging.
“Everyone’s got their sights set on the biggest prize.
And who’s a bigger prize than the Devil Emperor himself?” Allen leaned against the wall, folding his arms and staring down at the ground.
“I mean, I know he’s programmed to be as close to humans as possible, but that doesn’t make him marriage material.
He’s still just code.” Red_King let out a low chuckle.
“True, but to some people, that just makes him the ultimate challenge.
Besides, they figure it’s worth a shot.
What do they have to lose?” Allen’s mouth twisted into a smirk.
“Guess I’m not the only one who’s a little insane, huh?” Father^Alex, who had been silent for a while, finally piped up, his voice shaky.
“Insane… or just plain terrifying.
You should’ve seen them earlier.
Some of them actually have it planned out-like full-on strategies on how they’re going to win him over.” He paused.
“They also did the same to me…” he added in a much lower voice.
Elio laughed, shaking his head.
“Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if some of them start writing love letters in the chat log just to get his attention.
Anything for a shot at that ‘eternal blood oath.'” Allen sighed, rubbing his temples.
The whole situation was absurd, but there was something almost hilarious about it.
He could just imagine him, the Devil Emperor being bombarded by a bunch of love-struck players.
The idea was so ridiculous it almost sounded like something out of a parody.
“Well,” he muttered, finally looking up at them.
“Guess I should be grateful they’re not all after me, then.” He felt ironic when he said it since he was the Devil Emperor.
‘Guess we need to choose a secluded dungeon again for today’s hunt,’ he thought.
Red_King laughed, clapping him on the shoulder.
“For now.
But if you don’t stay hidden, they’ll find you.
And if they find you…” Elio smirked, finishing the thought.
“You might end up in wedding clothes before you know it.” Allen groaned, leaning his head back against the wall.
“Maybe I should just log out until this event is over.” Mastercraft chuckled, crossing his arms.
“Nah, where’s the fun in that?
Besides, if you’re really looking for someone to hide behind, we’re always here for you.” Allen shot him a look.
“Yeah, as if you guys aren’t hiding too.” Elio grinned, giving Allen a sly wink.
“Oh, we are.
But we’re still a smaller target compared to you.” “Right,” Allen sighed, glancing back toward the crowded market beyond the alley.
The lure of gear upgrades and rare runes had faded into the background.
Right now, survival felt more important than any item he might pick up.
“Guess I’ll just skip the market today, then.
Not worth the hassle.” Red_King raised an eyebrow.
“So you’re logging out?
That’s it?” Allen shrugged.
“Yeah, unless you guys have a better idea.
I’d rather not stick around as bait.” Before anyone could respond, a loud noise rang out, turning all their heads toward the marketplace.
A figure appeared in the crowd, drawing immediate attention.
It was Sophia. The label above her name had changed.
Yora <Arcane Wardens’ Deputy> The Arcane Wardens were a new guild, climbing the ranks fast, aiming to break into the top guilds.
It looked like Sophia had jumped ship after Elio kicked her.
And she chose this new, ambitious one.
Around her, a swarm of male players, mostly tanks and DPS types, gathered, practically tripping over each other to be near her.
They hovered close, forming a circle around her like bees drawn to a particularly enticing flower, each one trying to grab her attention.
And Sophia, noticing their admiration, only smirked, basking in the spotlight.
