Playtime is Over Red_King shrugged, smirking.
“Come on, Alex, think about it.
How often do we get to see Al in action outside of the game?
This is a rare opportunity.” Allen exhaled deeply, shaking his head, his gaze filled with a mix of resignation and mild horror.
“Oh, God… This is going to be a nightmare.” Elio stifled a laugh.
“You know, if they all showed up, you’d practically have your own bodyguard unit.” Mastercraft leaned forward, his grin widening.
“Exactly.
Imagine it.
A whole team, just there to back you up.” Allen gave him a deadpan look.
“Or make things infinitely worse.
The last thing I need is a bunch of curious onlookers while I’m just trying to work out.
Trust me, guys, it’s not that interesting.” Arcana chuckled, nudging Allen’s shoulder.
“Interesting or not, it’s up to us.” Allen rolled his eyes, suppressing a grin.
“You guys are really warped, you know that?” Before anyone could respond, a sudden, sharp knock came from the front door of the room.
They all fell silent, exchanging tense glances.
Arcana’s grin faded as he whispered, “Did anyone order room service?” Red_King raised an eyebrow, glancing around.
“Is there even room service in this game?” Father^Alex’s voice came out in a nervous whisper.
“Then… who knocked?” Allen held up a finger, signaling for everyone to be quiet as he crept toward the door.
The group held their breath.
Allen pressed his ear against the door, straining to catch any sound from the other side.
He could just make out a faint murmur, whispers and soft giggles-definitely female voices.
“Are you sure this is the right room?” one voice whispered eagerly.
“Yes!
I swear I saw them go in here,” another voice replied, sounding both excited and conspiratorial.
“I think one of the guild leaders is inside.
Maybe even… Al.” A soft gasp came from someone else.
“Al?
Are you serious?
You think it’s him?” The first girl giggled softly.

“Yes.
And besides, where else would a whole group of guild leaders disappear in the middle of an event?” Another voice joined in, hushed but determined.
“If it’s really him, we’ve got to catch him before he disappears again.” There was a brief pause, then another girl chimed in with a mischievous tone.
“And maybe we could even convince him to partner with one of us.
Imagine the buffs we’d get!” Allen’s face tightened.
He turned back to the others.
They were watching him, wide-eyed, each one frozen in suspense.
He held up a hand, gesturing for them to stay back and stay silent.
A final voice, quieter but no less determined, came through the door.
“They have to come out eventually.
We’ll just wait here until he does.” Allen moved his ear away from the door, glancing back at the others with a grim expression.
“It’s them.
They’re waiting for us, right outside.” Red_King muttered under his breath, barely audible, “So much for our ‘private’ hideout.” Father^Alex swallowed hard, his gaze darting between the group.
“What do we do?
Just wait them out?” Mastercraft shook his head, looking equally tense.
“No way.
They’re not leaving until they’re absolutely sure we’re not here.
We’re trapped.” Arcana leaned in close, whispering, “What if we could pull off a distraction?
Get them to look somewhere else long enough for us to slip out.” Elio nodded, his mind already racing with possibilities.
“It might be our best option.
But if we’re going to do it, we’ll have to be fast and make it look believable.
Anything that can keep them off our trail for even a few minutes.” Red_King smirked, leaning forward.
“Well, I’ve got an idea.
What if we send someone out as a decoy?
We could make it look like someone’s leaving-someone they’d be eager to chase down.” Mastercraft grinned, catching on.
“Oh, and by ‘someone,’ you mean…?” Red_King shrugged.
“Oh, I dunno.
Maybe someone who can look a bit like Al?” Allen shook his head, already regretting the suggestion.
“Or… hear me out.
What if we do something simpler?
Like, you guys could use your Home Crystals to teleport back to your HQs?” The room fell into a stunned silence.
They exchanged glances, each of them visibly cringing.
Arcana slapped his forehead, muttering, “Why didn’t I think of that before?” Red_King sighed, chuckling softly.
“Guess we’ve been taking this event way too seriously.
We’re so focused on staying hidden, we forgot about the easiest way out.” Elio opened his inventory with a smirk, pulling out his Home Crystal.
“Alright, are we all ready to make a clean getaway?” One by one, the others took out their crystals, nodding in agreement.
Arcana, Red_King, Father^Alex-they all held up their crystals, ready to teleport to safety.
Elio turned to Allen, his brow furrowing slightly.
“So, where’s your crystal?” Allen shrugged, a small grin tugging at the corner of his mouth.
“Someone has to stay behind to unlock the door, right?” Red_King gave him a skeptical look, crossing his arms.
“That’s not important, and you know it.
Why risk it?
You could get caught.” Allen chuckled, a hint of mischief flashing in his eyes.
“That’s impossible.
Remember?
I’ve got Hiding skills.
Besides… This is going to be an interesting game.
Just imagine their faces when they open the door and find an empty room.
Let them try to figure that one out.” Father^Alex chuckled, unable to hide his amusement.
“Alright, that’s a fair point.
It’s going to be hilarious watching them scramble.” Red_King nodded, a smirk spreading across his face.
“Good luck, then.
Just don’t get too caught up in your own trap.” Allen grinned.
“Yeah, yeah.
I’ll be right behind you all.
Go on, activate those crystals.” With a final round of nods and murmured goodbyes, they activated their Home Crystals, one by one disappearing in bursts of light until Allen was left alone in the quiet room.
Allen glanced at the locked door, knowing the eager crowd of players was still just on the other side.
