Chapter 1196: Empty Room Chapter 1196: Empty Room Villain Ch 1196.
Empty Room He removed his disguise, letting his true avatar emerge.
He reached down, unlocking the door and then activated his Shadow Step skill.
His form dissolved into a blur of darkness, and he reappeared moments later on the deserted rooftop of the tavern, overlooking the crowded city below.
For a moment, he simply stood there, letting the cool air wash over him.
He let out a long exhale.
“I never thought my simple trip to check the market would end like this,” he murmured, half amused, half exhausted.
A faint smirk appeared on his lips.
“I guess… having fun with them once in a while isn’t so bad.” He never talked this much with them, and it felt good to have a moment with people he usually saw as enemies.
With a flick of his fingers, a portal appeared behind him and he went into it.
Meanwhile, once the door creaked open, the group of female players outside exchanged eager glances.
Without hesitation, they surged forward, practically stumbling over each other in their excitement.
This was it-their chance to catch Al and maybe even a few other top players from Hell’s Gate all together in one place.
“Hey, guys!” one of them called out excitedly as she pushed through the doorway, her voice echoing in the room.
But as they all stepped in, their enthusiasm faded into a collective frown of confusion.
The room was… empty.
Completely empty.
They all froze, glancing around at the vacant room as if expecting the guild leaders to materialize from thin air.
“What the…?” one of the players muttered, scratching her head.
“Are you sure they were in here?” another asked, her brow furrowing as she scanned every corner.
The first girl turned to her with an exasperated sigh.
“Yes, I’m sure.
I saw them come in here myself.
They didn’t leave.
We would’ve noticed if they had.” A third player huffed, folding her arms as she looked around suspiciously.
“Maybe they used an escape portal or something.
Like Home Crystals.” One of the others shook her head, her face set in determined frustration.
“No way.
The door can’t be unlocked by itself!
At least, one of them is still here.” Another player, a rogue with short, cropped hair, narrowed her eyes.

“Think about it.
Al’s an assassin, right?
He might be here, just… hiding.
He’s got a high-level stealth skill.
He could be in the room with us right now, just watching us.” At that, the group fell silent, casting wary glances around the room as if expecting Al to leap out from behind a shadow at any second.
One of the players, who seemed to take charge, quickly moved to the door and locked it with a sharp click, crossing her arms in satisfaction.
“Well, if he’s using his Hiding skill, he’s not getting out of here without us noticing.
We’ll just have to find him.” The others nodded in agreement, glancing around.
“Alright,” one of them said, her tone steely.
“Let’s split up and search every corner.
If he’s hiding in here, we’re going to find him.” They fanned out, moving carefully, as if expecting to bump into Al at any moment.
One of the girls crouched down, peering under the chairs and tables.
“Maybe he’s hiding low, trying to stay out of sight until we leave.” Another girl, who was standing on her tiptoes to check a high shelf, muttered, “He’s not exactly a mouse.
If he’s here, we’re going to find him.
There’s no way he can stay hidden from all of us.” The rogue, still holding a smirk, leaned in toward one of the walls, tapping it lightly.
“Come on, Al,” she whispered, her voice dripping with mock sweetness.
“We know you’re in here.
You can’t hide from us forever.
Just make it easy and come out.” The girl on the other side of the room rolled her eyes, clearly unimpressed.
“You think sweet-talking him is going to work?
He’s Al, not some random newbie.” The rogue shrugged, grinning mischievously.
“Hey, you never know.
Everyone has a weakness.
Maybe he likes the attention.” One of the other girls let out a frustrated sigh as she pulled aside a curtain, revealing nothing but an empty wall behind it.
“This is getting ridiculous.
How is he hiding so well?
There’s practically nowhere to go.” The girl who had locked the door gave a determined nod.
“Then we keep looking.
If he’s here, we’ll find him.” Another player leaned against the wall, clearly unimpressed with the whole ordeal.
“Honestly, this is starting to feel like a wild goose chase.
What if he already left and we just didn’t notice?” The rogue’s smirk faded a little as she considered this.
“No… I don’t think so.
I’d bet anything he’s still in here, just waiting for us to give up.
We just have to keep looking.” There was a silence, as if they were all waiting for something-or someone-to finally appear.
But when the room remained stubbornly empty, the initial excitement faded into irritation, and the girls began exchanging tired glances, disappointed.
“Did they seriously just… disappear?” one of them muttered, crossing her arms.
“Unbelievable,” another sighed, running a hand through her hair in frustration.
“I thought for sure we’d find them here.” Before anyone could respond, the door creaked open once more, and a figure stepped inside.
Yora.
She swept into the room with a confident stride, her eyes scanning the space expectantly.
But her brows furrowed as she took in the sight of the room, clearly unimpressed.
“Is this it?” she asked, her voice laced with disappointment.
“I thought this room would be filled with high-quality male players.
That’s what the rumors said.” The other female players in the room exchanged knowing glances, visibly uncomfortable at her presence.
One of them scoffed, whispering just loudly enough to be heard, “Of course she shows up now.” Another rolled her eyes, folding her arms tightly.
“Right?
As if she’d let an opportunity like this pass by.
She’s like a magnet for any guy with decent stats.” CREATORS’ THOUGHTS UnholyGod Thank you for the car, groundCrafter!
