Chapter 1203: The Cooking Crew, Not The Getting Cooking Crew!
Villain Ch 1203.
The Cooking Crew, Not The Getting Cooking Crew!
Allen, now standing a little back and watching, shrugged, his tone light.
“I guess this is what we’re up against.
A bunch of fish-heads who didn’t read the rulebook on fighting.” “Or cooking,” Larissa added dryly, her eyes glinting as she readied her Blood Manipulation skill.
She flicked her wrist and sent a thin tendril of blood out from her fingertip, wrapping it around the nearest merman’s pan before snapping it out of his hand.
The merman yelped and fell backward, scrambling as his pan flew out of his hands and landed with a loud clink on the coral floor.
The merman scrambled to grab it again, but his hands were slick from the electric shock and the slippery water, and he only succeeded in sending it sliding across the floor.
“Nice one,” Shea called, her voice dripping with sarcasm.
“Who knew that pans would be so difficult to hold onto underwater?” Allen couldn’t help but laugh.
“Guess he should’ve picked a different weapon for his ‘cookout.'” He looked over at Zoe, whose tentacles were twitching impatiently.
“Alright, Queen of the Depths, you want to show them how it’s done?” Zoe’s eyes sparkled with a mixture of excitement and mischief.
“I’ll show them exactly what happens when you mess with a Kraken Queen.” With that, she flicked her wrist and sent a torrent of water rushing toward the remaining mermen, the force of it pulling them back a few steps.
She raised her hand, the water swirling around her as she conjured her Hydro Lance, a spear made entirely of water.
The weapon formed in a split second, shimmering in the deep blue light of the dungeon.
“Time to make them regret picking a fight,” Zoe murmured, her eyes narrowing as she hurled the Hydro Lance at the nearest merman.
The weapon pierced through the water like an arrow, speeding toward its target with deadly precision.
The merman tried to block it with his tartar bottle, but it was useless.
The Hydro Lance impaled him with a sickening splash, and he dropped like a stone, his arms flailing as the water around him churned.
“Aww, look at that, he’s gone for the deep fryer,” Bella teased, tossing a grin over her shoulder as the other mermen backed away, visibly frightened.
“Guess the BBQ’s off.” “Ugh,” one of the remaining mermen muttered, dropping his pan with a clatter.
“This wasn’t supposed to happen…
We’re the cooking crew, not the getting cooked crew!” The group exchanged a brief look of disbelief before bursting into laughter.
These mermen were way more comical than they had ever imagined.
But that didn’t mean the fight was over.
The remaining two mermen seemed to think they had a chance-either that, or they were just too stubborn to back down.
One of them bellowed and charged forward, this time swinging his tartar bottle like a sword, trying to get a hit in.
Allen raised an eyebrow, unimpressed.

He held out his hand, his fingers crackling with dark energy, and with a casual flick of his wrist, summoned his Dark Storm.
The storm of shadowy tendrils exploded around the charging remaining mermen, wrapping them up in an eerie, unrelenting vortex.
The mermen struggled against the swirling darkness, but it was no use.
Within seconds, the storm collapsed, and the mermen were left lying on the floor, dazed and defeated.
[You received Merman’s Pants 3 ea and 3,045 Coins.] Allen cringed as he glanced at his loot notification.
“Pants?
Seriously?” Jane leaned over, squinting at the notification.
“Wait… is that worn or new?
Because that makes a huge difference.” Vivian laughed, holding a hand over her mouth.
“It says ‘Merman’s Pants,’ so I’m guessing… worn?” Larissa rolled her eyes, smirking.
“Oh, come on, what’s with the complaints?
It’s better than getting undead nails or a lizard tail.
And at least they’re practical, right?” Allen sighed, conceding the point with a shrug.
“True, I suppose.
But I’d still rather not have to explain why I’m carrying around… merman pants.” He took a deep breath, about to move on.
“Let’s-” But before he could finish, a soft melody echoed through the water.
It wasn’t loud or overwhelming, but a gentle, haunting whistle that seemed to drift from somewhere in the depths.
The notes were lilting and smooth, filling the strange underwater space with an eerie beauty.
The group fell silent, exchanging curious glances.
Shea raised an eyebrow, her face lighting up with intrigue.
“Does that mean we just found our first clue for this dungeon quest?” Zoe’s eyes widened with excitement.
She looked like a kid who’d just spotted her favorite toy.
“Yes!
This could be it.
Let’s check it out.” She had a slight bounce in her step, clearly ready to lead them toward whatever was creating the sound.
Alice huffed, crossing her arms.
“She’s only this eager because she’s hoping Allen’s going to pamper her after this.” Jane, equally enthusiastic, ignored Alice’s comment and leaned in, her eyes sparkling.
“Honestly?
I want to know what’s going on with these weird creatures.
There’s got to be some crazy backstory to all this.” Bella laughed, rolling her eyes.
“Or, you know, it could be something completely ridiculous.
Like my backstory.” The melody continued, shifting in tone as if drawing them in.
It seemed to be coming from somewhere deeper within the dungeon, and though none of them could pinpoint the exact source, the notes were oddly mesmerizing.
“Alright, let’s keep moving,” Allen said, nodding toward the direction of the sound.
“But stay sharp.
This whole place has been weird from the start.” They made their way through the dimly lit coral corridors.
Small, colorful fish darted around, disappearing as quickly as they appeared, and the soft bioluminescent light on the walls flickered with each note of the whistle, as if pulsing in time with the music.
“This is… kind of eerie,” Shea murmured, glancing around as they turned another corner.
“It’s like the whole place is alive, reacting to the music.” “Or it’s a trap,” Allen muttered, his gaze sweeping the area with caution.
But curiosity kept them moving, caught up in the strange beauty of the melody as it grew louder.
Finally, they stepped into a large, open chamber filled with glowing, iridescent seaweed that cast colorful shadows across the walls.
And there, in the center of the room, was the source of the melody.
A mermaid.
But, as expected, this was no ordinary mermaid.
