Chapter 1210: I’m Your Worst Nightmare!
Villain Ch 1210.
I’m Your Worst Nightmare!
Bella, who had been listening quietly, finally chimed in, her voice soft but tinged with disdain.
“Honestly, the queen doesn’t sound evil at all.
They just sound like a bunch of lowly people who are jealous of each other.
Classic projection.” Vivian grinned.
“Like a twisted version of The Little Mermaid, but instead of ‘Part of Your World,’ it’s ‘Part of Your Drama.'” “I don’t know.” Larissa’s tone was sharp, her crimson eyes fixed on the mermaids with a predatory gleam.
“How about we kill them?
Who knows-they might drop something useful.” “Whoa, straight to murder?” Shea said, raising a hand in mock defense.
“What happened to letting them finish their gossip first?
It’s kind of entertaining.” Larissa shrugged, her lips curving into a sly smile.
“If they keep going, I might just do it for my own sanity.” Allen shook his head, pinching the bridge of his nose.
“Focus, guys.
We still don’t know what’s going on here, but it sounds like this ‘queen’ is holding someone captive.” “A prince,” Jane said thoughtfully, her fingers brushing her chin.
“That could mean an ally for this quest.
Or loot.” “Or a trap,” Larissa said flatly.
“This whole thing reeks of bait.” “But what kind of bait?” Alice finally spoke, her tone as neutral as always.
“Are they luring us toward the queen, or is she their victim too?” The group fell silent for a moment, the only sound the faint rustling of the kelp and the whispered snickers of the mermaids.
It was Vivian who broke the quiet.
“I say we play along,” she said, her whip coiling around her wrist like a snake.
“Let’s pretend to ‘save’ this prince.
Worst-case scenario, we find out what these fish are hiding.” “Best-case scenario, they drop something shiny,” Zoe added, her grin revealing sharp teeth.
Allen sighed.
“But if we don’t engage unless absolutely necessary, we’ll-” A loud cackle interrupted him, followed by one of the mermaids shouting, “I should be queen!
I’m the prettiest one here!” “Oh, please,” another snapped.
“You look like a sea cucumber.” The insult was followed by a flurry of angry splashes, their melodious voices devolving into shrill bickering.
The group collectively winced at the sound.
“Yep,” Zoe said, shaking her head.

“Definitely butthurt fish.” “Agreed,” Shea said, her wings twitching with irritation.
“Can we just move on?
They’re not even worth it.” “Not worth it?” Larissa shot her an incredulous look, her crimson eyes glinting.
“You mean besides the loot they might drop, the XP, and maybe a clue to this ridiculous dungeon?
Sounds pretty worth it to me.” Vivian smirked, twirling her whip in one hand.
“I mean, they’re just gossiping, but I’m with Larissa.
Killing them might actually make them useful for once.” Allen sighed, running a hand through his hair.
“Alright, I agree.
Let’s kill them and see if we can continue the quest.” “Oh, oh, since they’re gossiping about me…” Zoe chimed in, her tentacles curling with excitement.
Her sharp grin widened, giving her a menacing look.
“May I?” Allen chuckled, stepping aside with a casual wave of his hand.
“They’re all yours.” The group exchanged amused looks as Zoe advanced, her powerful tentacles swaying with a predator’s grace.
The mermaids were still obviously arguing, their melodic voices rising and falling in a cacophony of insults.
“Did you see her scales last week?” one hissed, flipping her shimmering hair.
“Dull.
So dull.
She must be using the cheapest oils.” “Cheapest?
Please, at least she has scales.
You’re practically molting,” another snapped, her fins slapping the water in frustration.
Zoe stopped just shy of the group, her voice dripping with mock sweetness.
“Wow, you guys are really busy, huh?” The mermaids froze, their heads snapping toward Zoe.
Their wide eyes took in her Kraken-like form, and their expressions shifted from disdain to alarm.
“W-Who are you?” one of them stammered, backing away slightly.
Zoe grinned, her voice oozing menace.
“Your worst nightmare.” Before the mermaids could react, Zoe’s tentacles lashed out with terrifying speed, grabbing two of them by their tails and yanking them toward her.
Her Hydro Lance skill activated in a flash, spearing one mermaid clean through and sending a shockwave of water rippling outward.
“Whoa, she’s not wasting any time,” Vivian said, leaning casually on her whip.
“I like it.” “She’s showing off,” Larissa said with a small smirk.
“But I’m not complaining.” The remaining mermaids screamed, scrambling to flee, but Zoe wasn’t done.
Her Depths’ Grasp skill sent tendrils of water snaking out from her tentacles, pulling another pair of mermaids toward her.
Their struggles were futile as she slammed them into the ocean floor, the impact shaking the kelp around them.
“Pathetic,” Zoe muttered, her voice dripping with disdain.
“You’re all talk, no bite.” One of the mermaids, clearly more desperate than the others, tried to launch an attack, summoning a weak water jet in Zoe’s direction.
Zoe didn’t even flinch.
With a flick of her wrist, she activated Leviathan’s Rage, unleashing a massive, swirling torrent of water that engulfed the attacker and sent her crashing into a nearby rock.
“Damn, Zoe,” Bella said, watching the carnage with wide eyes.
“Remind me not to get on your bad side.” “Too late for these idiots,” Jane said with a grin, her fingers twitching as she prepared her own spell.
“Mind if I join in?” “Be my guest,” Zoe said, stepping back with a flourish.
“But leave me a few scraps.” Jane’s eyes glowed faintly as she raised her hand, her voice low and commanding.
“Rise.” The ocean floor trembled, and skeletal hands began clawing their way up from the sand.
With a flick of her wrist, Jane summoned a dozen undead warriors, their hollow eyes locked onto the remaining mermaids.
“Let’s make this quick,” Jane said with a wicked grin.
“Corpse Explosion.” The skeletons charged, grabbing onto the mermaids before detonating in bursts of bone and dark energy.
The blasts illuminated the water briefly, leaving nothing but floating debris and fading light in their wake.
“Show-off,” Larissa muttered, though her lips curved into a smile.
