Chapter 1214: The Queen of What Now?
Villain Ch 1214.
The Queen of What Now?
“I am sure!” Zoe declared, practically glowing with enthusiasm.
“Look at this place!
The tentacles, the ruins, the vibe.
It all screams me.
I must have been the beautiful queen of the depths-envied by all creatures, hated for my stunning beauty and unmatched power!” Allen, standing slightly ahead of the group, turned to glance back at Zoe.
“Well,” he said, his tone calm but tinged with amusement, “based on the aesthetics of this place, that’s actually not too far-fetched.” Zoe beamed, her pride radiating off her like an aura.
“See?
Even Allen agrees.
This has me written all over it.” But before anyone could respond, a low, guttural sound rumbled through the chamber.
It wasn’t the ominous hum of the dungeon-this was different.
Primal.
Hungry.
The sound seemed to come from behind the throne.
At first glance, it looked like a standard dungeon boss monster.
But as it stepped fully into view, the collective reaction of the group could only be summed up as ‘what the hell?’ It was an anglerfish-or at least, some horrifying version of one.
Its grotesque, oversized head sported a glowing lure dangling above its sharp-toothed maw, its eyes bulging and unblinking.
But that wasn’t the worst part.
Below its fishy head was the body of… something else entirely.
It had the muscular arms of a human, each hand gripping a large, rusty hook, and legs-female human legs-that ended in webbed feet.
Despite its monstrous proportions, the entire thing was only the size of a basketball, floating comically in the water like some kind of cursed bath toy.
Anglerqueen (Boss) <Level 181> The glowing text popped up in their shared interface, confirming what they were looking at.
But it didn’t make it any less absurd.
There was a long beat of silence as everyone processed what they were seeing.
Finally, Larissa broke the silence with a sharp laugh.
“You’ve got to be kidding me.” “Is this a joke?” Bella asked, her tone flat as she pointed at the boss.
“This thing’s supposed to be the queen?” Vivian blinked, her whip dangling limply in her hand.

“I don’t know whether to laugh or cry.” Zoe, on the other hand, was having none of it.
She stormed forward, pointing a furious tentacle at the floating abomination.
“No!
No, no, no!
This is all wrong.
That’s supposed to be me!
Why is it another weirdo?
I can’t believe this!” The group couldn’t hold back their collective snickers, but Zoe didn’t care.
She gestured dramatically to herself, her tentacles curling with indignation.
“Tentacles?
Check.
Ocean vibes?
Check.
Envy of my beauty and power?
Obviously.
This entire dungeon screams ‘me’.
So why is that thing sitting on my throne?” As if on cue, the Anglerqueen floated a little higher, her glowing lure bobbing ominously.
The water around her seemed to ripple with energy as she raised her rusty hooks in a defensive stance.
Her voice was high-pitched and warbly, like nails on a chalkboard mixed with underwater static.
“Ah!
You’ve come to challenge me,” the Anglerqueen said, her unblinking eyes somehow managing to narrow in accusation.
“Of course you have.
Jealousy!
That’s what this is.
You can’t stand my beauty, can you?
My flawless form, my undeniable grace!” The group collectively froze, their expressions shifting from confusion to outright disbelief.
“She’s… serious?” Shea whispered, her wings twitching uncomfortably.
“I think she is,” Jane replied, her voice laced with morbid fascination.
“This dungeon just keeps getting better.” Allen, for his part, rubbed the bridge of his nose, muttering under his breath.
“I should’ve seen this coming.” The Anglerqueen didn’t stop.
If anything, her voice grew more dramatic, echoing around the chamber as she gestured wildly with her hooks.
“You vile creatures!
Always envious, always scheming.
You think you can take what’s mine?
My throne, my power, my unparalleled beauty?
HA!
You will fail, just like all the others!” “Others?” Alice asked, her tone as neutral as ever.
“What others?
Who would bother?” “Clearly, people with poor taste,” Larissa quipped, a smirk tugging at her lips.
Zoe threw her hands-or rather, her tentacles-into the air, exasperated.
“Oh, come on!
Look at her!
This isn’t beauty; this is a rejected science project!” The Anglerqueen’s glowing lure pulsed angrily, and her voice took on an indignant shriek.
“SILENCE!
You dare insult me?
You dare mock my perfection?
I should have you skewered and fed to the plankton for such insolence!” “I’d like to see you try,” Zoe shot back, her grin returning as she cracked her knuckles-or whatever the Kraken equivalent was.
“Come on, little miss ‘perfect.’ Let’s see if you can back up that big mouth of yours.” Allen stepped between them, raising a hand to calm Zoe down.
“Hold up.
Let’s not get too hasty.
This thing might actually be tougher than it looks.” “Tougher?” Vivian said, her whip now twirling idly in her hand.
“It’s the size of a basketball.
How bad can it be?” “Don’t underestimate bosses,” Allen said, his eyes narrowing as he focused on the Anglerqueen.
“The smaller they are, the more annoying they usually turn out to be.” The Anglerqueen cackled, her rusty hooks scraping against each other in a sound that made the group wince.
“Oh, you’ll regret those words!
I’ll show you what true beauty and power look like!” “Yeah, yeah, save the villain speech,” Zoe snapped, her tentacles curling in agitation.
Her normally cool, teasing demeanor was gone, replaced by a simmering rage that practically radiated off her.
She turned to Allen, her dark Kraken eyes burning with determination.
“She’s mine.
I will teach her a lesson she won’t forget.
I need to.
I’m so pissed off right now!” Allen raised an eyebrow, giving her a long, measured look.
He didn’t say anything at first, clearly weighing the situation.
Zoe’s psycho side wasn’t something they unleashed lightly, but he could see there was no stopping her.
With a sigh, he released her from his gentle hold.
“Fine,” he said.
“We’ll be your backup.” The moment the words left his mouth, Zoe’s lips curled into an evil grin that sent a shiver down the spines of even her allies.
It was the kind of grin that said she was about to enjoy herself far too much.
“Don’t worry,” Zoe said, her voice low and laced with dangerous excitement.
