Chapter 1220: Shoo Shoo!
Villain Ch 1220.
Shoo Shoo!
Larissa took the lead, her eyes flashing as she locked onto the approaching crowd.
Her gaze practically screamed ‘back off!’.
Zoe, Bella, and Jane followed suit, their flashy gear and confident strides sending an unmistakable message.
“Get out of our man!
Shoo shoo!” The low- and mid-level players didn’t need to be told twice.
They scattered like startled birds, mumbling complaints under their breath.
But the high-level ones?
They weren’t so easily deterred.
Their sharp gazes followed the group like hawks circling prey, their eyes narrowing with curiosity-and maybe a little jealousy.
“Subtle,” Allen muttered, his voice dripping with sarcasm.
“It’s working, isn’t it?” Vivian shot back, her smirk widening.
“I feel like a prize on display,” Allen grumbled, his hands shoved into his pockets as he let the girls steer him forward.
“Technically, you are,” Zoe said with a wink.
“Besides, this is fun.” “Fun for you,” he muttered, his eyes flicking to the high-level players who still hadn’t looked away.
“But those ones are going to be trouble.” Shea glanced at the lingering crowd and sighed.
“They’re not moving because they think they can take us.
Probably wondering how much loot they’ll get if they wipe us.” “They’d have to try first,” Larissa said, her tone cold.
“And we all know how that would end.” Jane leaned in closer, her dark robes brushing against Shea’s shoulder.
“Do you want to give them a demonstration?” “Don’t tempt me,” Larissa replied, her lips curling into a wicked grin as her eyes flicked toward the lingering high-level players.
“I’m this close to teaching them a lesson.” “Patience, Larissa,” Shea said with a faint smile as she kept her tone calm.
“We’re here for the market, not a fight.” “Yeah, well,” Larissa muttered, her fingers twitching as if itching to summon her blood blade.
“They’re starting to get on my nerves.” The group pressed on, walking casually through the crowded market.
The wide plaza was bustling with players, merchants hawking their wares, and adventurers showing off their latest loot.
The air was thick with overlapping voices, the clinking of coins, and the occasional flash of skill effects as players demonstrated items or sparred nearby.
But it wasn’t the chaos of the market that gnawed at them.
It was the whispers.

They started as faint murmurs but grew louder with every step.
“Who do those girls think they are?” “They’re just clinging to him for attention.” “Al deserves better.” “Bet they’re using him for his loot.” Larissa’s jaw tightened.
“You hear that?” she hissed, her tone low enough for the group to catch but not loud enough for the gossipers.
“They’re saying we’re leeching off him.
Like we’re just here for his gold.” Zoe laughed under her breath.
“Jealousy is such a beautiful thing, isn’t it?” “Zoe, not helping,” Shea muttered, though her lips twitched in a small smile.
“Ignore them.
They’re not worth the effort.” “Easy for you to say,” Larissa said, her voice sharp.
Shea sighed, looping her arm tighter around Allen’s.
“Patience.
We’re here to shop, remember?
Not escalate the drama.” “And yet here we are,” Vivian quipped.
She casually scanned the stalls.
“Drama central.” Allen, meanwhile, kept his face neutral, though the corners of his mouth twitched in irritation.
“Ignore them.
Let’s just find what we came for.” The group stopped at a stall selling enchanted stones and runes, and Allen leaned in to inspect the items.
The vendor, a high level knight and an exaggerated grin, immediately perked up at the sight of the party.
“Ah, a fine assassin with an entourage of lovely ladies!” the vendor exclaimed, his voice booming over the din of the market.
“You must be a lucky man to have so many women by your side!” The girls exchanged amused glances, but Allen let out a low groan, rubbing the back of his neck.
“Not exactly by choice,” he muttered, earning a chuckle from Zoe.
“Oh, don’t be so modest!
You have legendary skills,” the vendor continued, holding up one of the items.
“Surely a man like you has earned their admiration!” Vivian smirked, leaning casually against the stall.
“Legendary skills, huh?
Hear that, Allen?
You’re a legend now.” Allen shot her a look but didn’t comment, instead focusing on the runes.
Its edge shimmered faintly with a faint blue glow, an enchantment promising increased agility.
He handed the vendor a stack of coins and put the runes in his inventory.
“Next stall,” Allen said, turning away as quickly as he could, but the vendor wasn’t finished.
“Take good care of him, ladies!” the vendor called after them, his grin widening.
“A man like that is worth keeping!” The whispers didn’t stop as they moved to the next row of stalls.
Zoe’s grin didn’t falter.
“Keep talking,” she muttered under her breath.
“Maybe I’ll show them how much of a ‘monster’ I can be.” “Zoe,” Bella warned gently, “don’t.” “Fine, fine,” Zoe said with a dramatic sigh.
“But only because we’re shopping.” The group stopped again at a merchant selling enchanted accessories.
This time, it was Shea who found an elegant bracelet with a glowing rune that enhanced healing skills.
“Perfect,” Shea said, slipping it on and tossing the merchant a small bag of coins.
The vendor, a married female blacksmith, clapped her hands together.
“Oh, how sweet!
You’re buying something to protect your beloved?” Shea blinked, her cheeks flushing faintly.
“Uh, no, it’s-” “Yes, yes!” the vendor interrupted, her grin widening.
“A caring partner always looks after her man!” Allen sighed, relenting as the group moved on to yet another stall.
As they walked, the whispers continued, but the high-level players who’d been watching them earlier were still lingering nearby, their sharp gazes never leaving the group.
“They’re still there,” Larissa muttered, glancing at the players out of the corner of her eye.
“Waiting for something.” “Probably hoping we slip up,” Alice said flatly, adjusting her glasses.
“Or they’re waiting to see if we’re worth the effort.” “Let them watch,” Zoe said, her grin sharp as ever.
“If they’re stupid enough to pick a fight, we’ll give them a show they won’t forget.” CREATORS’ THOUGHTS UnholyGod Your gift is the motivation for my creation.
