Chapter 1223: Where’s Allen?
Chapter 1223: Where’s Allen?
Villain Ch 1223.
Where’s Allen?
Zoe’s grin faltered, confusion flashing across her face.
“Wait… where is he?” she asked, scanning the crowd quickly.
The girls followed her gaze, the realization hitting them.
Allen was gone!
“Oh, my God!” Jane gasped, her hand flying to her mouth.
“He’s gone!” Larissa’s eyes narrowed, her voice sharp and tense.
“Did someone take him?
Who the hell would be stupid enough to kidnap him?” Before anyone could answer, one of the high-level players from the knight’s group, a rogue with short-cropped hair and a smug grin, stepped forward.
“Maybe he doesn’t want to be with you guys,” she said, her voice dripping with condescension.
“Ever think of that?” Zoe’s eyes darkened, her hand tightening around her sword’s hilt.
“What did you just say?” The rogue shrugged, clearly enjoying herself.
“I mean, look at you.
Clingy, overprotective, showing off every chance you get.
Maybe he got tired of it and left.” “That’s a bold assumption,” Vivian said, her voice deceptively light as she twirled her whip.
“Especially coming from someone who just got her team wiped by us.” Larissa stepped forward, her crimson aura flickering dangerously.
“Careful, rogue.
You’re walking a very thin line.” The rogue smirked but said nothing, clearly unfazed.
“Enough,” Shea said.
“We’re wasting time arguing.
Allen’s not the type to just leave.
Something’s wrong.” Zoe let out a sharp breath, forcing herself to focus.
“You’re right.
We need to find him.
Fast.” Bella’s voice was calm but firm.
“First things first.
Does anyone remember seeing him leave?” The group exchanged uneasy glances.

No one had noticed when or how Allen had disappeared, which only added to the tension.
Each of them had been so focused on the duel that his absence had gone completely unnoticed-a rare lapse in their usually sharp awareness.
“What if he got ambushed?” Larissa muttered, her tone icy as she scanned the crowd.
“Or worse,” Jane added, her grip tightening on her staff.
“What if someone dragged him off while we were all distracted?” A sharp laugh cut through their rising panic, drawing all their attention back to the knight’s group.
The rogue, leaning against a stall, grinned smugly.
“If he’s gone, I guess it’s our chance to get him,” she said, her voice practically dripping with arrogance.
The hunter smirked.
“He’s too good to be wasted on you anyway.
Let’s find him and show him what a real party looks like.” Their team murmured in agreement, the rogue flipping her dagger idly as they began dispersing.
The girls didn’t even need to exchange a word.
The moment the knight’s group left, their collective focus snapped back to Allen.
“Where should we start looking?” Bella asked, her tone calm but laced with urgency.
“I’ll take the upper streets,” Zoe said immediately, already turning on her heel.
“If they’re looking for him, they’ll want to stay visible.” “I’ll check the stalls,” Jane volunteered.
“Maybe he doubled back to find something.” “Wait,” Shea interrupted and raised a hand.
“Before we scatter again, let’s-” “They’re gone.
Good then,” a familiar voice interrupted, stopping them in their tracks.
The girls turned as one, their eyes widening as Allen materialized right in the middle of their group, canceling his Hiding Skill.
He looked as calm as ever, his arms crossed and a small smirk playing on his lips.
“Miss me?” he asked casually.
For a moment, there was nothing but stunned silence.
Then the complaints came all at once.
“Where the hell were you?” Zoe snapped, pointing an accusing finger at him.
“Do you know how worried we were?” “Do you have any idea what kind of mess you just caused?” Larissa added.
“You had us thinking you got kidnapped!” Jane practically yelled, throwing her hands up in exasperation.
Allen raised both hands in a placating gesture, his smirk turning into a sheepish grin.
“Okay, okay, calm down.
Keep your voices down, would you?” He gestured for them to follow him.
“Let’s head to the alley.
We’ll talk there.” Grumbling, the group followed him into a narrow side street away from the bustling market.
The noise of the crowd faded slightly, leaving them in a quieter space where they could talk freely.
Allen turned to face them, leaning casually against the wall.
“Alright,” he said, his tone even.
“Here’s the deal.
While you guys were handling that duel, I used the distraction to check out the market again.” “What?” Bella said, crossing her arms.
“You disappeared to shop?” Allen shrugged, his grin returning.
“Exactly.
Everyone was focused on the duel-it was the perfect opportunity to wander around the stalls without being swarmed.
I didn’t have much time, but I managed to see a few things.” “You could’ve told us!” Shea said, her wings fluttering with agitation.
“Instead, you vanish and make us think something happened to you.” “If I’d told you, it wouldn’t have worked,” Allen replied calmly.
“Someone would’ve blown my cover, and we’d all be stuck dealing with those vultures.” Vivian tilted her head, an amused grin tugging at her lips.
“So let me get this straight.
You ditched us in the middle of a fight just to go shopping?” “Yup,” Allen said, his tone mock-serious.
Zoe let out an incredulous laugh, throwing her hands up.
“Unbelievable.
Only you could pull a stunt like this.” “Sorry.
But… Hey, it worked, didn’t it?” Allen said, shrugging again.
“And before you ask, I did grab a few useful items.” Larissa crossed her arms, her crimson eyes narrowing.
“Useful enough to justify the heart attack you gave us?” Allen chuckled, clearly unfazed by her glare.
“Depends.
You guys like high-grade crafting materials?” The complaints died down slightly as the group exchanged curious looks.
“Well,” Jane said after a moment, her voice softening.
“I guess that’s… something.” “Still doesn’t mean you’re off the hook,” Zoe said, poking him in the chest with a finger.
“Next time you pull a disappearing act, I’m dragging you back by your ear.” Allen smirked, raising an eyebrow.
“Noted.” Shea let out a long sigh, shaking her head.
“Alright.
Since you’re here and in one piece, what’s the plan now?” Allen glanced back toward the alley’s exit, his eyes thoughtful.
“We head back.
The market’s getting too crowded, and those high-level players aren’t going to leave us alone.” “You mean you alone,” Larissa muttered, smirking.
“Semantics,” Allen replied with a grin.
