Chapter 1242: I’ll Be The Perfect Third Wheel!
Villain Ch 1242.
I’ll Be The Perfect Third Wheel!
Her mind was racing, caught somewhere between excitement and nervousness.
Why hadn’t Allen told her earlier?
What was this surprise he’d been planning?
Before she could get far, Dena caught up to her, an all-too-familiar grin spreading across her face.
“Then I’ll come with you!” she announced, falling into step beside her.
Zoe blinked, turning to her friend with a frown.
“Why?
You said you wanted to hang out here.” “Change of plans,” Dena said with a shrug.
“I’ve got nothing better to do anyway.
Plus, you still haven’t shown me your boyfriend’s picture.” Zoe groaned, trying to keep the heat from rising to her cheeks.
“Is that really necessary?” “Yup,” Dena said, grinning mischievously.
“You’ve been so secretive about him, and I’m starting to think he’s some kind of myth.
Time to prove me wrong.” Zoe sighed, pulling out her phone.
“Fine.
I’ll show you a picture.” But before she could find one, Dena held up a hand.
“No thanks.
Too late for that.
I’m not interested in pictures anymore.
I want the real thing-live and in person.” “Are you serious?” Zoe asked, narrowing her eyes at her friend.
“Dead serious,” Dena said, her grin widening.
“Come on, I promise I won’t bother you.
I just want to meet him.” Zoe hesitated, weighing her options.
Dena wasn’t the type to take no for an answer, and honestly, arguing would only waste time.
“Okay,” she said finally.
“As long as you don’t make it weird.” “I promise!” Dena said, crossing her heart.
“I’ll be the perfect third wheel.” “Great,” Zoe muttered, already regretting this decision.

But there wasn’t time to argue.
Allen was waiting, and her curiosity was winning out over her mild annoyance.
The walk to the main gate felt longer than usual, probably because Zoe’s nerves were kicking into overdrive.
Dena, on the other hand, was perfectly relaxed, chattering away about random topics.
Zoe barely heard half of it, her focus entirely on what was waiting for her at the gate.
Zoe’s pace quickened, her nerves buzzing.
Dena followed closely, her eyes scanning the area like she was on a mission.
“There he is!” Dena whispered excitedly, pointing.
Zoe’s gaze darted to where Dena was pointing, and there he was-leaning casually against his motorcycle, his helmet resting on the seat beside him.
He looked as effortlessly cool as ever, dressed in a dark jacket and jeans, his posture relaxed but commanding.
“Wait a second,” Dena muttered, squinting as they got closer.
Her pace slowed, and her jaw dropped slightly.
“No way.
No freakin’ way.” Zoe glanced at her, confused.
“What’s your problem?” “That’s him,” Dena said, her voice barely above a whisper.
She pointed at Allen again, her hand trembling slightly.
“The guy from Urban Enigma.
The one on the magazine cover I was talking about.” Zoe stopped dead in her tracks, the pieces clicking into place with shocking clarity.
‘Of course,’ she thought.
Dena’s mystery model was Allen.
“Oh,” Zoe said, her voice quieter than she intended.
“Right.” “Right?” Dena hissed, grabbing her arm.
“What do you mean, right?
You knew about this?” “Well… yeah,” Zoe admitted, her cheeks warming.
“I mean, I knew he modeled sometimes, but I didn’t think-” “You didn’t think to tell me?” Dena interrupted, her voice somewhere between awe and betrayal.
“Zoe, this is insane!
You’re dating him?” Zoe sighed, tugging her arm free.
“Dena, it’s not a big deal.
Just… don’t freak out, okay?” Dena opened her mouth to argue but was cut off as Allen’s gaze locked onto them.
He straightened, a small smirk tugging at his lips as he waved casually.
“There you are,” he called out.
Zoe ignored Dena’s shocked expression and marched forward, her nerves settling as she closed the distance.
“What are you doing here?” she said, stopping just a few feet from him.
Allen shrugged, his smirk growing.
“Figured I’d surprise you.
Looks like it worked.” “Yeah, you could say that,” Zoe said, shooting a glance back at Dena, who was still frozen a few steps behind, staring at Allen like he’d just descended from the heavens.
Allen noticed her too, raising an eyebrow.
“Friend of yours?” “Dena,” Zoe said, motioning her over.
“And yes, she’s a little starstruck.” “Starstruck?” Allen repeated, his tone amused.
Dena finally snapped out of her daze, walking up quickly and extending a hand.
“Hi, Dena.
Big fan.
Huge fan, actually.
You’re-wow, okay, you’re real.
Like, real real.” Allen shook her hand, clearly entertained.
“Real enough.
Nice to meet you, Dena.” “You’re the guy from the Urban Enigma cover,” Dena blurted out, her excitement bubbling over.
“I mean, obviously, you know that.
But-wow.
I can’t believe this.” Zoe groaned, pinching the bridge of her nose.
“Dena, can you not?” “What?” Dena said defensively.
“I’m just stating facts.” Allen chuckled, his gaze shifting back to Zoe.
“So, this is the company you keep?” “She’s usually less…
excitable,” Zoe muttered, though she couldn’t help but smile.
“Hey!” Dena protested.
“You can’t blame me for being impressed.” “I’m not blaming you,” Allen said, his tone light.
“But I think Zoe and I have some plans.
Maybe we can catch up another time?” Dena’s face fell slightly, but she nodded, her enthusiasm dimming just a bit.
“Right.
Of course.
Don’t let me third-wheel too hard.
It was nice meeting you, though.” Allen nodded.
“Likewise.” Dena gave Zoe a meaningful look before stepping back.
“Text me later, okay?” “I will,” Zoe said, watching as Dena waved and headed off toward the campus.
When she was out of earshot, Zoe turned back to Allen, crossing her arms.
“So, that happened.” “Not my fault I’m famous,” Allen said, his smirk returning.
Zoe rolled her eyes, but the warmth in her chest betrayed her annoyance.
“You could’ve warned me.” “Where’s the fun in that?” he teased, gesturing toward his motorcycle.
“Come on.
Let’s go.” “Go where?” Zoe asked, her curiosity flaring again.
“You’ll see,” Allen said, tossing her a helmet.
“Trust me.” Zoe stared at him for a moment before taking the helmet with a small smile.
“You and your surprises…” Allen climbed onto the bike, waiting as she settled behind him.
“You’ll like this one,” he said, his voice carrying over the roar of the engine as it came to life.
Zoe wrapped her arms around his waist, her nerves buzzing with anticipation.
Whatever Allen had planned, she was ready.
And maybe, just maybe, she was starting to enjoy the mystery that came with him.
