Chapter 1253: Ready to Make Some Heroes Cry?
Villain Ch 1253.
Ready to Make Some Heroes Cry?
Ahead, his party was already gathering.
Vivian was perched on one of the twisted stone thrones, inspecting her demonic claws with a bored expression.
Larissa leaned against a pillar, her crimson eyes glowing faintly.
Jane stood off to the side, quietly muttering incantations as a dark aura coiled around her.
The others-Shea, Zoe, Bella, and Alice-were scattered throughout, preparing in their own way.
“You’re late, Emperor,” Vivian teased, looking up with a sly smile.
“Did you get distracted watching the heroes flail about?” Allen chuckled, his voice low and smooth.
“Something like that.
They’re putting on quite the show.
Sophia’s already stirring the pot, and Elio’s trying to play peacekeeper.” Larissa rolled her eyes.
“Typical.
Let me guess, Gil’s still mouthing off?” “Of course,” Allen replied, stepping closer to the group.
“But enough about them.
The war event’s about to start.
Ready to make some heroes cry?” “Always,” Jane said softly, her lips curving into a small, sinister smile.
Allen straightened, his crimson and black armor catching the faint glow of the cursed runes.
“Good,” he said, his voice carrying the weight of authority.
“Because tonight, we’re not just playing the villains-we are the villains.” The rest of the group exchanged grins, their excitement palpable as they finished their final checks.
Before anyone could respond, a booming announcement reverberated across the server.
Every player, no matter where they were, was greeted with the same notification.
[System Announcement: Attention, players!
The War Event will begin in one minute.
All participants will receive a 10% Mana regeneration buff throughout the event.
Good luck, and may the strongest prevail.] A countdown timer appeared in the corner of everyone’s HUD (Heads-up Display), ticking down from sixty seconds.
“Not bad,” Allen muttered, glancing at the timer.
The buff wasn’t groundbreaking, but it was enough to make a difference in prolonged fights.

Before he could say more, another notification popped up in front of him and his companions-this one exclusive to them.
[System Announcement: Villain Buff Activated.
All villains will receive a 10% HP regeneration bonus throughout the event.] Larissa let out a low whistle.
“Nice.
I thought the devs were only throwing buffs at the players, but it looks like they’re staying neutral.” Jane chuckled.
“They’re smarter than I thought.
If they tipped the scales too much, the forums would explode.” Allen’s smirk returned as he looked around at his team.
“But we’re not here to play fair-we’re here to win.” “Win?” Shea said, her melodic voice dripping with sarcasm.
“You mean we’re here to obliterate them, right?” “Semantics,” Allen replied with a shrug, his smirk widening.
“Let’s give them something to remember.” The countdown ticked past thirty seconds.
Allen gestured toward the shadowy corridor that led to the portal room.
The team fell into step behind him, their movements purposeful and coordinated.
When they reached the portal room, the atmosphere shifted.
The air was heavy with latent energy, and the massive portal that dominated the center of the chamber pulsed with ominous light.
“Everyone ready?” Allen asked, turning to face his companions.
Vivian stretched lazily.
“Born ready,” she said with a sly grin, her glowing eyes locking onto his.
“Just say the word, and I’ll make them regret logging in today.” “I’m ready to carve through those heroes.
Let’s see how long their high morale lasts when the Devil Emperor’s army hits the field,” Larissa said.
Shea gave a small nod.
“I could use a new song to hum while we wipe the floor with them.” “Just make sure they don’t interrupt my spells.
I hate starting over,” Jane joked.
Bella flicked her fox ears, her tails swaying behind her.
“Let’s show them why they fear the crypt.” Alice adjusted her hat and cracked her knuckles, small sparks of magic flashing around her hands.
“I’ve got all the curses prepped.
I’ll make their tanks cry.” Allen smirked, his gaze sweeping over his party.
“Good.
Stick to the plan.
We’ll hit Debaris hard, split them up, and pick off their stragglers.
Remember, it’s not just about kills-but also making them frustrated.” Before anyone could reply, another announcement appeared in bold, flashing letters.
[System Announcement: The War Event has officially begun!
Good luck to all players.
Protect the city.] “Guess that’s our cue,” Allen said, his voice cutting through the tension.
His smirk widened as he stepped toward the glowing portal.
Vivian followed, her wings twitching with excitement.
“Time to remind them who runs this game.” “Don’t hold back,” Larissa said.
Her crimson eyes gleamed, matching the bloodlust in her grin.
“Like we ever do,” Shea quipped, rolling her shoulders before stepping through the portal after them.
One by one they went it, leaving the cursed crypts eerily empty once more.
The portal spat them out into the heart of the chaos.
They stood a few kilometers outside the walls of Debaris, the city looming ahead like a bastion of light against the encroaching darkness.
From their vantage point, they could see players flooding the streets like ants in a disturbed colony.
Spells crackled in the air, armored knights barked orders, and the clanging of weapons being readied echoed even at this distance.
Allen took a step forward, his boots sinking slightly into the soft ground.
The battlefield ahead stretched vast and unforgiving-barricades hastily constructed by NPCs and players alike dotted the outskirts, trenches carved into the earth as players fortified their positions.
Siege weapons glinted ominously.
“Look at them,” Vivian said, her tone dripping with disdain as she perched on a jagged rock.
Her succubus tail flicked lazily behind her.
“Scurrying around like they actually stand a chance.
Cute.” “They think the city’s walls will save them,” Larissa added, spinning her blades in a figure-eight, the metallic hiss slicing through the tense air.
“I almost feel bad for them.
Almost.” “Don’t,” Jane murmured, her voice soft yet chilling as her dark aura pulsed.
“They’ll realize soon enough.” Allen’s gaze swept over his companions, his smirk returning as he pulled his crimson cape tighter.
“Good.
Let them believe they’re ready.
It’ll make their defeat that much sweeter.” “Savage Reanimation…” he summoned.
