Chapter 1264: Fall Back!
Chapter 1264: Fall Back!
Villain Ch 1264.
Fall Back!
Justice Bringer, still focused on the Ghost Lady, growled, “We’ll hold them off!
Just make sure those gates don’t fall!” On the walls, the players fought desperately, but the tide was against them.
Every victory was met with another setback, and the villains’ relentless assault showed no signs of slowing.
Still, they held their ground, their determination unyielding.
For now.
On the front line, Elio swung his blade with precision, his glowing sword cutting through the chaos, almost landing a solid hit on Shea’s wing.
The siren twisted midair, barely dodging the strike, but her movement left her open.
Elio didn’t waste the opportunity, lunging forward to finish the attack.
But then, out of nowhere, a hand appeared-grabbing the blade mid-swing and stopping it with invisible power.
“Impressive,” said a calm, mocking voice.
The Devil Emperor himself stood there, gripping Elio’s glowing sword with his gauntleted hand as if it were nothing more than a twig.
His crimson and black armor shimmered faintly, and his smirk widened as he pushed Elio back with a casual shove.
Elio stumbled but quickly regained his footing, his dragon roaring beneath him.
“You…” he growled, his eyes narrowing.
“Of course, you’d show up now.” Allen tilted his head, his fiery eyes glowing with amusement.
“Naturally.
I couldn’t let you retreat so easily, could I?” He gestured lazily to the battlefield behind Elio.
“After all, I wouldn’t want to disappoint my subordinates.” Shea hovered nearby, her harp glowing faintly as she prepared another attack.
“You’ve kept me entertained, Paladin.
But playtime is over.” Elio’s grip tightened on his sword.
He glanced toward the frontline tanks below, their struggle becoming more desperate with every passing second.
The bosses’ relentless assaults had pushed the defenders to their limits, and it was clear the tanks wouldn’t last much longer without support.
Elio’s heart sank when he noticed the lack of reinforcements-no mages, no hunters, no one from the walls.
His gaze shifted toward the gates in the distance.
A sinking feeling settled in his chest as he saw the swirling dark aura rising near the gates, the telltale sign of Abyssal Descent.
The gates were under attack, and the defenders were split too thin to respond.

“Oh no,” Elio muttered, his voice low but filled with dread.
Allen chuckled.
“Noticed, have you?
The gates won’t last long.
And neither will your little defense here.” Elio barked into the comms, his voice sharp and urgent.
“Fall back!
All units retreat to the gates!
Now!” The order was clear, but executing it was easier said than done.
Shea didn’t give him a chance to disengage, her wings spreading wide as she activated Wind Blade Strike.
Sharp currents of air sliced toward Elio, forcing him to block with his shield.
“You’re not going anywhere,” Shea said, her voice cold.
She strummed her harp, sending another wave of sound to disorient him.
Elio gritted his teeth, spurring his dragon to evade the attack, but she was relentless.
Below, Azura and Red_King were locked in battle with Zoe, the Kraken Queen.
Her tentacles lashed out wildly, ripping through the ground and swatting at the dragons circling her.
Azura’s dragon darted in and out of her range, but Zoe was a master of controlling the battlefield.
She activated Depths’ Grasp, an area skill that created massive pools of water beneath the dragons, pulling them downward with crushing force.
“Damn it!” Azura growled, her dragon struggling to stay airborne.
“She’s trying to ground us!” “No kidding!” Red_King shouted, his fiery dragon narrowly avoiding a tentacle strike.
“We need to break through and fall back!” “You think I’ll let you leave?” Zoe’s voice was calm, almost playful, as she raised her hands.
“Tsunami.” A massive wave of water surged toward them, forcing both dragons to ascend rapidly to avoid being caught.
The wave crashed into the tanks below, scattering their formation and leaving them vulnerable to the horde of monsters still advancing.
On the other side of the battlefield, Gil was fighting a losing battle against Alice.
Her shadow creature’s form shifted constantly, its tendrils striking from multiple angles.
Gil’s dragon was more agile, but Alice’s Shadow Manipulation made every movement a gamble.
“Can’t touch her!” Gil snarled, his daggers flashing as he deflected another tendril.
“This thing’s everywhere!” Alice smirked, her staff glowing faintly.
“You can try to run, little rogue, but it won’t matter.
Shadows always catch their prey.” She activated Illusionary Mirror, creating duplicates of herself and the shadow beast.
Gil’s dragon swerved, trying to avoid the attacks, but the illusions made it impossible to tell which strikes were real.
“We need to move now!” Gil barked into the comms, his frustration evident.
“We’re sitting ducks out here!” Elio’s voice came through, strained but commanding.
“Fall back!
Prioritize the gates!” “I’m trying!” Gil snapped, narrowly dodging another shadow tendril.
“But she’s not letting up!” Below, the tanks on the ground were facing their own nightmare.
With no mages or hunters providing cover fire, they were left to fend off the advancing monsters and bosses alone.
The Knight Military Chief Ghost charged forward, his spectral lance piercing through shields and armor with ease.
The Strong-Willed Swordsman Ghost followed closely behind, his blade carving through the frontline with brutal efficiency.
“We’re getting slaughtered down here!” one of the tanks shouted, his shield cracking under the force of an attack.
“Where’s our backup?” “There is no backup!” another tank yelled, his voice filled with panic.
“They’re stuck at the gates!” Elio could feel the battle slipping further out of control.
His dragon roared as it dove to avoid another of Shea’s attacks, but the siren wasn’t giving him an inch.
“If we don’t get back to the gates, we’re done for,” he muttered under his breath.
“You’re not going anywhere,” Allen said, his voice cutting through the chaos.
He raised his hand, activating Telekinesis Blast.
A wave of force slammed into Elio, sending him and his dragon spiraling backward.
Elio gritted his teeth, his grip tightening on his reins.
“I’m not letting you win this,” he growled, his determination burning brighter than ever.
