“And you’re all bark and no bite,” Azura shot back, her smirk widening.

“Is this the best the Kraken Queen can do?” Zoe’s crimson eyes narrowed, her lips curling into a sneer.

“You’ll regret that,” she spat.

Her tentacles lashed out in a violent arc, catching Azura’s dragon.

Azura’s dragon twisted desperately in the air, its movements growing sluggish from accumulated injuries.

The Kraken Queen raised both hands.

She unleashed Hydro Lances.

A barrage of water spears shot upward, faster than before, and this time, the dragon couldn’t dodge them all.

One lance pierced through its wing, another through its chest.

The dragon let out a deafening roar of pain as its health bar plummeted to zero.

Azura barely had time to react before her mount dissolved into shimmering particles, leaving her plummeting toward the ground.

She twisted midair, activating Quick Reflex at the last second to land on the ground safely.

She landed in a crouch, her daggers already drawn, her eyes locked on Zoe.

“Well,” Azura muttered, brushing herself off as she stood.

“Looks like it’s just you and me now.” Zoe descended gracefully, her tentacles writhing around her like a living shield.

Her expression was one of pure disdain.

“You should’ve stayed in the air,” she said, her voice icy.

“Now you’ll die screaming.” Azura smirked, her daggers glowing faintly with dark energy.

“Big talk for someone who can’t land a clean hit.” Zoe snarled, her patience snapping.

She raised her hands, the ground beneath Azura rippling as she activated Depths’ Grasp.

Pools of water formed around Azura, the liquid solidifying into gripping tendrils that clawed at her legs, trying to pull her down.

Azura darted to the side, her Shadow Reaper speed allowing her to narrowly avoid being ensnared.

She rolled across the ground, throwing one of her daggers at Zoe as she moved.

The blade streaked through the air, glowing with dark energy, but Zoe batted it away with one of her tentacles.

“You’ll have to try harder than that!” Zoe snapped, her voice dripping with venom.

She raised a massive tentacle and slammed it into the ground, sending a shockwave rippling outward.

Azura stumbled, but she kept her balance, her eyes never leaving her opponent.

“Don’t worry,” Azura said, her tone teasing.

“I’ve got plenty more where that came from.” She dashed forward, closing the gap between them in a blur of motion.

Her remaining dagger flashed as she slashed at Zoe’s tentacles, leaving glowing cuts along their length.

Zoe hissed in pain, her eyes narrowing as she lashed out with another tentacle.

This time, Azura couldn’t dodge fast enough.

The strike caught her across the side, sending her tumbling to the ground.

Azura coughed, blood dripping from the corner of her mouth as she pushed herself to her feet.

“Okay, that hurt,” she admitted, wiping the blood away with the back of her hand.

“Guess you’re not just for show after all.” Zoe didn’t respond with words.

She raised both hands, summoning another Hydro Lance that streaked toward Azura with deadly precision.

Azura sidestepped, the lance missing her by inches and slamming into the ground behind her, sending a spray of dirt and debris into the air.

“Not bad,” Azura muttered, her voice steady despite the pain.

“But I’m not done yet.” She activated Shadow Veil, a cloak of dark mist swirling around her as she moved.

The veil distorted her figure, making it harder for Zoe to track her movements.

Azura darted in and out of the mist, her dagger flashing as she slashed at Zoe’s tentacles again and again.

Each strike left glowing cuts, and for the first time, Zoe’s health bar began to dip.

[You were hit for 1233 HP!] Zoe roared in frustration, her tentacles thrashing wildly as she tried to catch Azura.

“How dare you!

You lowly peasant!” she spat, her voice echoing across the battlefield.

“And you’re nothing but a big target,” Azura shot back, her smirk widening as she dodged another tentacle strike.

She closed the gap between them, her dagger aimed at Zoe’s torso.

But Zoe was ready.

The Kraken Queen’s tentacles moved faster than Azura expected, one of them wrapping around her leg and yanking her off her feet.

Azura cried out as she hit the ground hard, the impact driving the air from her lungs.

Zoe loomed over her, her tentacles writhing as she prepared to deliver the final blow.

“You fought well, little reaper,” she said, her voice dripping with mockery.

“But this is where it ends.” Azura’s grip on her dagger tightened, her mind racing.

“This is not my end,” she muttered through gritted teeth.

She activated Quick Reflex, moving out of Zoe’s grasp just as the Kraken Queen’s tentacle slammed into the ground where she had been.

Azura reappeared behind Zoe, her dagger flashing as she plunged it into the Kraken Queen’s back.

Zoe screamed, her health bar dipping further.

The scream was deafening, and Zoe spun around, her tentacles lashing out wildly.

One of them caught Azura square in the chest, sending her flying backward.

She hit the ground hard, her health bar blinking red.

Azura struggled to her feet, her breaths shallow and ragged.

She clutched her dagger tightly, her vision swimming.

“Well,” she said, her voice weak but defiant.

“Guess this is it.” Zoe loomed over her, her crimson eyes burning with fury.

“You’re right,” she said coldly.

“This is it.” The Kraken Queen raised a massive tentacle, the limb glowing faintly as she brought it down with crushing force.

Azura didn’t move, her body too weak to react.

The impact was swift and brutal.

‘Well…

I guess I’m not as good as Allen,’ she thought, her mind drifting.

‘But hey…

I did something…’ Her gaze flickered to the glowing cuts she’d left on Zoe’s tentacles, the faint trails of dark energy still visible.

She had made her mark, however small.

And in her final moments, that was enough.
