Chapter 1280: Healer Supremacy Chapter 1280: Healer Supremacy Villain Ch 1280.
Healer Supremacy “But-” “HEALER GANG RISING UP!” a random voice shouted from the back of the crowd, earning a round of cheers and laughter.
Alex groaned softly and buried his face in his hands, muttering, “This is so weird.” Another cheer rippled through the players, and Alex finally gave up trying to deflect.
For the first time, a small, genuine smile broke across his face.
It felt… nice.
Weird.
But nice.
Meanwhile, the world chat was on fire.
[World Chat] Mage_Drizzle: Holy crap, Alex got third?
Shadow_Dancer: A healer outscored half the DPS?
This timeline is wild.
Paladin_Fury: Respect to Father^Alex.
We were holding out by threads, and he still kept the core alive until the end.
Priest^Maris: My man is out here making healers look OP.
RedRogue47: Can someone nerf healers?
Asking for a friend.
VirtualValkrie: Don’t start, Red.
You DPS mains cry too much already.
Warrior_X67: LOL healer supremacy today.
Amid the praise, other voices chimed in-complaining, nitpicking, or just trolling as usual.
Arcanist_Rayne: Tbh, that whole event was rigged.
No way the emperor’s lances were balanced.
DarkBlade32: LOL someone’s salty.
Frost_Queen: Big L for Debaris, but gg to Alex and the top ranks.
Sophia watched it all unfold from the edge of the crowd, her lips pressed into a thin line.
She had just respawned alongside her new guild-Arcane Wardens-but instead of joining the others, she lingered near the city gates, arms crossed as her sharp gaze landed on Alex.
‘Him.’ It was always her in the spotlight.
Sophia had been one of the top-rated healers in the game for months.
She’d pulled her weight in massive raids, saved her guild in PvP battles, and healed entire city defenses before.
She knew she was good.

People knew she was good.
But now?
All the praise was for Alex.
The crowd swarmed him like he was some kind of hero, his name plastered across the world chat like a badge of honor.
He was awkward and stumbling, unable to take a compliment, and yet people loved it.
‘Why him?’ “Ugh.” Sophia exhaled sharply through her nose, her annoyance rising with every cheer she heard.
“What’s wrong, Yora?” one of her guildmates asked, noticing her scowl.
“Nothing,” she said quickly, but her tone betrayed her.
“Come on,” another player teased.
“You’re just mad Alex out-healed you this time.” Her eyes narrowed dangerously.
“He didn’t out-heal me.” “Uh, the scoreboard says otherwise,” they shot back, grinning.
“Third place, remember?” “That doesn’t mean anything,” Sophia snapped.
“He was just healing the core.
It’s not like he had to deal with active mechanics or keep an entire raid alive.” Her guildmate shrugged, clearly not interested in arguing.
“Whatever you say.” But the words stung.
They clung to her like barbs as she watched the crowd around Alex grow even bigger, their voices louder with congratulations.
‘It should have been me.’ Sophia’s bitter thoughts clung to her like a second skin as she turned away from the cheering crowd.
The spotlight, the praise-it had slipped through her fingers.
But she wouldn’t let it stay that way for long.
She’d make sure next time everyone remembered her name, not his.
Far away from the crumbling gates of Debaris, shadows twisted and swirled at the entrance of the Cursed Crypts.
A pulse of energy rippled out, and one by one, the villains respawned just outside the crypt gates.
Allen’s figure materialized first.
The crimson glow in his eyes flickered as he reformed, wings stretching out before snapping shut with a rustle like leather against stone.
He exhaled slowly, glancing around as the familiar oppressive shadows settled back into place.
The others followed quickly-Vivian’s whip coiling lazily around her arm, Zoe’s watery tendrils flickering in the air, Shea brushing feathered blades off her wings, and Larissa adjusting her cloak with sharp, elegant movements.
Bella groaned as she appeared, planting her hands on her hips.
“Damn, that was intense.
I thought we’d be stuck in combat limbo for hours.” Vivian cracked a grin, sharp and mischievous.
“Hey, a win’s a win.” Allen didn’t say anything yet.
“…We actually won,” Shea muttered, her voice quiet but filled with disbelief.
“Of course we did.” Zoe smirked, stretching her shoulders as if to shake off the tension from the fight.
“We’re villains.
Victory’s what we do.” “Yeah, but…” Shea’s wings twitched restlessly.
“Elio and Azura… I expected them to push us hard.
Elio almost landed a hit on Allen!” Allen raised a brow, his smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth.
“Almost doesn’t count, Shea.” “Maybe, but still!” Shea shot back, folding her arms across her chest.
“You felt it too, right?
That guy’s improving.
Fast.
If we’d slipped even a little, he might’ve-” “-might’ve,” Vivian cut in, swirling her whip through the air with a flick of her wrist.
“But he didn’t.
We won.
Focus on that.” Bella, who had been staring at her hands, spoke up.
“Honestly, I wasn’t surprised by Elio or Azura.
Azura’s always a nightmare to deal with.
She’s slippery and knows how to counter almost all of us.” Zoe laughed dryly.
“Azura?
‘Hard to beat’ doesn’t even cover it.
She dodged half my Hydro Lances like it was nothing.” She crossed her arms and sighed.
“Seriously, that woman’s got eyes in the back of her head.” “She’s sharp,” Allen agreed, finally turning to the group.
“But they’re still predictable when it matters.” The others nodded, but Bella tilted her head thoughtfully.
“I’ll tell you what surprised me, though.” Vivian’s eyes gleamed with curiosity.
“Oh?
Do share, Foxy.” “Alex,” Bella said bluntly.
“The healer.
That dude.” The group fell silent for half a second.
“Wait-Father^Alex?” Alice suddenly chimed in, her tone incredulous.
“You’re kidding.
That guy?” “Yes,” Bella replied, shrugging.
“He’s the one who held their core up for so long.” “I noticed that too,” Shea muttered, narrowing her eyes as if replaying the battle in her head.
“The core was this close to breaking multiple times, and somehow the heals just kept coming.
He was like a machine.” CREATORS’ THOUGHTS UnholyGod Your gift is the motivation for my creation.
