Chapter 1283: Celebrating The Lost Chapter 1283: Celebrating The Lost Villain Ch 1283.
Celebrating The Lost That got their attention.
“What?” Bella asked, tilting her head.
“As players or villains?” “As players,” Jane stated.
“You mean like… Just walk around like tourists or something?” Alice added.
“Why not?” Jane shrugged, her tone casual but her sharp gaze scanning each of them.
“Think about it.
We never actually stick around after we conquer a place.
We don’t see how the players react or what they’re planning.
It might be a good idea to get a feel for things.” Allen raised an eyebrow.
“You mean spy on them?” “Call it recon,” Jane replied smoothly, her lips twitching into a faint smirk.
Vivian laughed.
“Oh, I like this.
Sneaky villain vibes.
I’m in.” “Of course you are,” Shea muttered.
Zoe tapped her fingers against her arm, her tentacles swaying slightly as she considered it.
“It’s not the worst idea.
But we’ve never done it before.
What’s different now?” Jane’s smirk widened.
“Because now, it’s our city.
Don’t you want to see how they’re coping?
Or… not coping?” Larissa nodded thoughtfully.
“She has a point.
But if we’re doing this, it’s better to split up.
A group of us wandering together will attract too much attention.” “True,” Bella agreed.
“We should go as individuals, not as a team.” Allen’s lips curled into a faint smirk.
“Fine.
But don’t engage unless necessary.
We’re observing, not provoking.” “Oh, you take all the fun out of it,” Vivian joked, but her grin showed she was fully on board.
“Split up, then,” Allen said, his tone firm but calm.

“Go wherever you want, but keep a low profile.” The group nodded.
Without another word, they activated their Disguise Skill, shadows rippling over their forms as their appearances shifted into more generic player avatars.
No wings, no glowing eyes, no menacing auras-just ordinary adventurers.
They exchanged quick glances before going to the Portal room.
One by one, they stepped through, emerging just outside the gates of Debaris.
The change in atmosphere was immediate.
The once-proud gates now loomed ominously, twisted into jagged obsidian adorned with demonic symbols.
The demonic guards patrolled with unsettling precision, their glowing red eyes scanning every newcomer.
Even disguised, Allen could feel the weight of their stares as he passed.
“We split up here,” Larissa reminded the group in a low voice, her sharp crimson gaze scanning the area.
“Got it,” Bella said, adjusting her hood.
Vivian gave a mock salute, her grin already forming under her disguise.
“See you in the shadows.” One by one, they scattered, each heading in a different direction to blend into the crowds.
Allen strolled through the streets, his eyes carefully taking in every detail.
Players were everywhere-some exploring cautiously, others lingering near NPCs, testing prices, or chatting in small groups.
The tension was palpable, but so was the strange mix of emotions that came with it.
The World Chat was alive with chatter, filling his HUD with a chaotic blend of despair, humor, and begrudging excitement.
[World Chat] Sage_Primo: Can’t believe we lasted until the last second.
Thought the core was gonna pop in the first five minutes.
Knight_Lor: Props to everyone who fought at Debaris.
Especially Alex, Mac, and Valkyrie.
Y’all were insane.
Lonely_Bard: Insane?
We lost, dude.
Not sure that’s the word I’d use.
VirtualValkrie: Oh, c’mon.
We fought well.
That’s all that matters.
Allen’s lips quirked faintly at Azura’s message.
Even in defeat, she managed to stay level-headed-a rare trait among players.
The System Broadcast interrupted his thoughts, the glowing text appearing across his vision.
[System Broadcast: Victory Announcement!] Congratulations to the defenders of Orc Fields for successfully protecting their territory!
Cheers erupted in the World Chat, players who fought in Orc Fields celebrating their win.
[World Chat] Warrior_X67: Orc Fields team for the win!
That was epic!
BladeRunner_93: I thought the orcs were gonna overrun us, but we pulled through.
GG, everyone!
DarkBlade32: Orc Fields OP!
Let’s go!
Just as the chat began to calm down, another broadcast appeared.
[System Broadcast: Victory Announcement!] Congratulations to the defenders of Underwater Dungeon for successfully protecting their territory!
The World Chat exploded again, with players in awe at the back-to-back victories.
[World Chat] Frost_Queen: Underwater Dungeon was insane.
We almost wiped, but we did it!
Mage_Splashy: Those sea monsters were no joke.
Props to the healers.
IronFang: GG to everyone at Underwater Dungeon.
That Leviathan boss was terrifying.
Allen glanced around as snippets of conversation reached his ears.
Players in Debaris seemed oddly proud of their performance, despite the loss.
“At least we made them work for it,” one player said to their party.
“Yeah,” another agreed.
“Did you see how close Mac got to landing a hit on the emperor?
That was nuts!” Allen’s smirk deepened slightly.
‘Close, but not close enough.’ Soon, a familiar voice caught his attention.
“Well, well,” Azura said, her tone dry but amused.
“Now you decide to make an appearance, huh?
After the event’s over?” Allen turned to see her leaning casually against a crumbled wall, her arms crossed and her sharp blue eyes locked onto him.
He smiled faintly.
“I can’t join the event, remember?” “True,” Azura admitted, pushing off the wall to stand upright.
“But you’ve been awfully quiet.
I figured you’d be here sooner, watching the fallout.” Before Allen could respond, another voice rang out.
“Allen!
There you are!” Red_King approached, his heavy boots crunching over the debris as he waved enthusiastically.
“You’re late!
We’re celebrating in the tavern!
Come on, you should join us.
It’s all on MasterCraft!” Allen frowned slightly, tilting his head.
“Celebrating?
The players lost.” Red_King laughed, clapping him on the shoulder.
“No, we won!
Well, not the city, obviously, but did you see how cool Alex was?
We’re celebrating that!
The guy held the core until the very last second.
Everyone’s talking about it!” Azura nodded, her lips curving into a small smile.
“It’s true.
He was incredible.
It’s not every day you see a healer outshine the DPS and tanks.” Allen raised an eyebrow, his mind briefly flickering back to the broadcast.
Alex had been a wildcard, even managing to surprise everyone.
“Interesting,” Allen said quietly, his tone unreadable.
Red_King didn’t seem to notice, grinning as he gestured toward the tavern.
“Come on, man.
You’ve gotta see this.
Everyone’s there!” After a moment of consideration, Allen nodded.
