Chapter 1293: Secret Conglomerate Chapter 1293: Secret Conglomerate Villain Ch 1293.
Secret Conglomerate Alexander’s face flushed slightly, his usual shyness even more pronounced in person.
He looked down at the polished floor, adjusting his glasses nervously as if hoping to disappear into the elegant venue’s fantasy-inspired decor.
They were blue ray glasses.
He wore them hoping they’d give him a little peace.
Noah smirked, clearly enjoying the moment.
“Man, you really are as shy in real life as you are in-game.
I thought that was just your character.” James chuckled, leaning slightly toward Alexander.
“You know, Alex, for someone with your reputation as a healer, I expected a bit more… presence.” Alexander shifted uncomfortably, tugging at the sleeves of his plain gray blazer.
“I’m just… not used to stuff like this.
Crowds, events, talking.
It’s all a bit overwhelming.” James shook his head, laughing.
“Too low-key, man.
Way too low-key.
You look like you’re trying to blend in with the staff.
Hell, look at Elio!
Be like him.” Alexander glanced at Elio, who was standing beside him, casually observing the conversation with his usual calm demeanor.
But tonight, he was dressed sharply in a tailored suit that, despite his protests, looked brand new.
“I mean, usually this guy looks like he’s living off pizza and couch surfing,” Noah chimed in, motioning at Elio.
“But look at him now.
Branded suit, polished shoes-he’s even shaved.
Who knew Elio could clean up this well?” Elio deadpanned, his eyes narrowing slightly.
“Hey.
I’m not that bad.
And for the record, I’ve had this suit forever.” James blinked, feigning shock.
“Oh, so you are rich.
That’s the vibe I’m getting.” Elio grimaced.
“I should be the one saying that to you.
You’re the investor here, and I had no idea.
And what about him?” He gestured at Noah.

“What’s your story?
Is your family running some secret conglomerate or something?” Noah grinned, unbothered by the sarcasm.
“Kinda.
My dad owns a game company.
Nothing too crazy.” Elio groaned, throwing his head back dramatically.
“Oh, God.
I feel betrayed.
First James, and now you?
I thought the only rich guy we had was MasterCraft.
Turns out I’m surrounded by undercover tycoons.” “Hey,” James said, holding up his hands defensively.
“We play games to enjoy the experience.
Not to flex.
Unlike a certain pay-to-win lunatic we all know.” “That’s fair,” James admitted, shaking his head with a small laugh.
“Speaking of lunatics, where’s Valkyrie?
She should be here by now.” Noah’s grin widened.
“Good question.
Where’s the streamer queen?” Elio turned, scanning the room and glancing at the section where the seating chart indicated Azura-VirtualValkyrie-was supposed to sit.
Her seat was still empty.
“No idea.
Haven’t seen her yet.
Maybe she’s fashionably late.” Mila, who had been watching the exchange with quiet amusement, glanced at Alexander.
“You really are the quiet type, aren’t you?
I thought that was just in the game, but it seems to apply to the real world too.” Alexander managed a small, shy smile.
“I’m an introvert.
I don’t go out unless it’s necessary, and I rarely talk.
It’s… hard to find a topic, I guess.” Noah gave him an approving nod.
“Hey, at least you’re honest about it.
Respect.” “Thanks,” Alexander said softly, though his tone suggested he wasn’t entirely sure how to take the compliment.
The conversation shifted as they turned their attention back to the venue.
The fantasy-themed decor was stunning, with intricately designed walls that looked like castle interiors and holographic dragons occasionally swooping through the air.
Soft, glowing lights illuminated the 3D projections, creating a surreal mix of medieval and futuristic aesthetics.
“This place is insane,” Elio said, his voice filled with genuine awe.
“It’s like stepping into another world.” “Agreed,” Noah said, craning his neck to take in the details.
“They went all out.
Look at the holograms.
It’s like they’re alive.” “And the centerpiece,” Elio added, motioning toward the massive circular arena in the center of the hall.
The device hummed softly, its sleek, futuristic design standing out against the medieval backdrop.
“That’s got to be the hologram arena.
The company’s new project.” James nodded, a knowing look in his eyes.
“You’ll see when it comes to life.
That thing is cutting-edge.
It’s going to blow everyone away.” “Maybe there’ll be a demo,” Elio said, his excitement evident.
“I’d kill to see it in action.” “Probably,” James replied.
“From what I’ve heard, the preparation for this event has been on another level.
And you know who was behind a lot of it?” Elio raised an eyebrow.
“Who?” “Allen,” James said casually, as if it were common knowledge.
Both Elio and Alexander froze, their eyes widening in unison.
“Wait, what?” Elio said, his tone a mix of disbelief and curiosity.
“Yeah,” James continued, clearly enjoying their reactions.
“Allen acted as the Goldborne representative.
He made the deals, coordinated with the designers, the works.
That guy’s got connections.” Alexander blinked, processing the information.
“Wow,” he said finally, his voice quiet but sincere.
“That’s… impressive.” “No way,” Elio muttered, shaking his head.
“So that’s why his guild never joins events or wars?
They’re afraid of people thinking it’s unfair if they get involved?” “Exactly,” James said with a shrug.
“Doesn’t make sense, doesn’t it?” Elio leaned back, still trying to wrap his head around it.
“Yeah, I guess it does.
But damn… Allen.
Who would’ve thought?” The group fell into a contemplative silence for a moment, each of them absorbing the revelation.
The venue around them buzzed with energy, the anticipation for the event building as more guests filled the hall.
The fantasy-inspired decor and glowing holograms lent the space an almost magical air, but Elio’s thoughts were far from enchanted.
“I guess that explains the photo the other day,” Elio finally muttered, breaking the silence.
“The one with Allen and Mr.
Goldborne.” James shrugged, his expression nonchalant.
“Yeah, I guess.” Elio’s gaze wandered across the room, his mind still racing.
Everything felt a little surreal now-like pieces of a puzzle clicking into place, revealing a picture he hadn’t even known existed.
“This is going to be one hell of a night,” he said under his breath.
