Chapter 1309: Half Brother, Half Sister Chapter 1309: Half Brother, Half Sister Villain Ch 1309.
Half Brother, Half Sister Mila didn’t even look at him.
“No.” Noah frowned.
“You don’t even know what I was going to say.” Mila finally turned to him, her expression unimpressed.
“You were going to ask me to approach Allen and sweet-talk him into helping our family’s company.
And the answer is no.
I’m not doing it.” Noah groaned again, slumping in his seat.
“Why not?
You’re better at this stuff than I am.” “Exactly,” Mila said, crossing her arms.
“And that’s why I know better than to get involved.
Allen’s not the kind of person you use for your own benefit.” James snorted, clearly enjoying Noah’s predicament.
“Tough break, man.
Looks like you’re on your own.” “Ugh,” Noah muttered, sinking lower in his seat.
“I hate all of you.” James grinned, leaning back with the satisfaction of someone who’d just scored a small victory.
“It’s character-building, Noah.
You’ll thank us later.” “Yeah, right,” Noah mumbled, throwing a glance at the dome.
His eyes lingered on the empty battlefield, still faintly glowing as the system powered down.
“I swear, I’ll-” “You’ll what?” Mila interrupted, her tone flat.
“Throw a tantrum?
Cry?” “Maybe both,” Noah admitted shamelessly, earning a snort from James.
But before the teasing could go any further, the stage lights dimmed slightly, drawing the crowd’s attention back to Jordan.
Jordan stepped forward, his commanding presence silencing the murmurs in the hall.
He handed the mic to the event’s MC, a polished man in a sleek suit who smiled warmly at the audience.
“Thank you, Mr.
Goldborne,” the MC began, his voice smooth and practiced.
“Ladies and gentlemen, what a showcase!
Let’s give another round of applause to Allen and Emma for that thrilling demonstration.” The audience erupted into applause, cheers echoing through the dome.
Allen, still standing near the edge of the stage, gave a small nod of acknowledgment.
Beside him, Emma looked her usual calm self, though there was a faint flicker of pride in her expression.
“As we move into the next part of the evening,” the MC continued, “we’d like to inform you that the demo sessions will be available starting an hour after dinner.
Follow new episodes on the "N0vel1st.c0m".
If you’re interested in participating, please register with the staff stationed at the front of the dome.
Remember, both participants must agree willingly-there should be no coercion.
Let’s keep this friendly and fun.” There was a hum of approval from the crowd.
The MC raised a hand to quiet them before continuing.
“For the reporters among us, there will be another Q&A session two hours after dinner.
During the break, we kindly ask that you refrain from approaching the Goldbornes or any other guests for interviews.
Let’s all enjoy the evening, shall we?” With that, the MC offered a polite bow and stepped off the stage.
The event’s formalities had concluded, and the staff wasted no time transitioning the hall.
Chairs were quickly moved to one side as tables laden with food and drinks were set up on the opposite end.
The space transformed into a standing party, though elders and VIPs were provided with seats in quieter corners of the hall, offering a full view of the festivities.
The atmosphere shifted almost immediately.
Guests began to disperse, gravitating toward the food and drinks, their conversations light and filled with excitement from the earlier demonstration.
The scent of gourmet dishes wafted through the air, mingling with the soft hum of background fantasy music.
Allen stepped down from the stage, Emma close behind him.
They exchanged a glance.
Allen scanned the room, his gaze landing on a familiar face-Evan, who was already making his way toward him, Geralt in tow.
“Congratulations, bro!” Evan exclaimed, pulling Allen into a bear hug before he could react.
His grin was wide, his energy infectious.
“I’m really happy for you.” Allen chuckled, clapping Evan on the back.
“Evan, thank you for coming.
It means a lot.” Geralt cleared his throat, his expression mock-serious.
“You should thank me for this,” he said, gesturing vaguely toward Evan.
“Dragging him here was no small feat.” Evan rolled his eyes, though he didn’t argue.
“Yeah, yeah.
He’s got a point.
I wasn’t exactly jumping at the idea of coming at first, but… I’m glad I did.” Allen raised an eyebrow, his curiosity piqued.
“Let me guess.
Your dad didn’t agree?” Evan hesitated, scratching the back of his neck.
“Yup!
Dad wasn’t exactly thrilled about me coming, and, well… you know how he is.” Allen’s expression softened, understanding immediately.
His stepdad had always been a difficult man, his stubbornness and pride creating barriers that were hard to overcome.
“I’m glad you came anyway,” Allen said sincerely.
“It means a lot to me.” Geralt clapped a hand on Evan’s shoulder.
“Told you it’d be worth it,” he said with a grin.
Evan nodded, a small smile tugging at his lips.
“Yeah, I guess you were right.
Feels good being here, seeing this.
Allen’s… different now, but in a good way.” Allen raised an eyebrow, crossing his arms.
“Different how?” Evan chuckled, his tone teasing.
“You know, less of a grumpy bad guy vibe, more… polished young master.
You even have the suit to match.
Honestly, it’s kind of intimidating.” Allen smirked, shaking his head.
“But you just hugged me like I won the lottery.” “Which, in a way, you did,” Geralt added with a grin, but before anyone could respond, a sudden presence interrupted the conversation.
Emma appeared out of nowhere, sliding up to Allen’s side.
She wrapped both hands around his arm, her grip firm, her expression unreadable except for the subtle narrowing of her eyes as they locked on Evan.
Her gaze spoke volumes.
It wasn’t just protective-it was territorial.
‘Get away from my brother.’ ‘He’s mine now.’ Allen felt a surge of panic mixed with a deep, creeping embarrassment.
He forced a strained smile, his tone overly casual as he tried to defuse the tension.
“Uh… let me introduce you.
This is Emma.” Emma’s gaze didn’t waver from Evan as she finally extended a hand, her tone polite but clipped.
“Evan, right?
I’ve heard about you.
I’m Allen’s half-sister now.” CREATORS’ THOUGHTS UnholyGod Your gift is the motivation for my creation.
