Chapter 1310: Food Beats Loyalty Chapter 1310: Food Beats Loyalty Villain Ch 1310.
Food Beats Loyalty Evan blinked, caught off guard by the intensity in her tone, but recovered quickly, taking her hand and shaking it firmly.
“Yeah, that’s me.
Nice to meet you, Emma.” Emma’s lips twitched into a polite smile, but her grip lingered a second longer than necessary before she let go.
“Likewise.” Geralt raised an eyebrow at the exchange but said nothing.
Allen, on the other hand, couldn’t hold back his cringe.
He coughed awkwardly, shifting slightly to loosen Emma’s grip on his arm.
“Well,” Allen said, his voice a little too loud as he tried to steer the conversation, “Emma, this is Geralt.
He’s my childhood friend and the reason Evan could come tonight.” Geralt offered a friendly nod.
“Nice to meet you, Emma.
I’ve heard a lot about you.” Emma’s gaze softened slightly, but she still didn’t let go of Allen’s arm.
“I hope it’s all good.” “Mostly,” Geralt replied with a grin.
“Allen’s not much of a talker, though.
I had to fill in the gaps myself.” “Sounds about right,” Emma said, her tone warming as she relaxed-just a little.
Evan stepped in.
“So, Emma, are you usually into gaming too, or just here for moral support?
I saw how you fought.
It was incredible.” Emma’s eyes flicked back to him, her polite smile sharpening ever so slightly.
“Both, of course.
Always.” Allen groaned internally.
This was going to be a long night.
Before the conversation could spiral further, another familiar face approached.
Gerry strolled over, his expression beaming with a mix of pride and mischief.
“Allen, Geralt, and you must be Evan,” Gerry greeted them, glancing briefly at Emma before focusing back on Allen.
“I thought I’d show you something.
Brought someone along tonight.
Guess who?” Allen raised an eyebrow.
“Who?” “Gil!” Gerry said, his grin widening.
“Figured he’d love this kind of event.
Guy’s been geeking out over the demo since we got here.” Allen smiled faintly.

“That’s great.
Where is he?” It was unexpected, yet not entirely surprising, since Gerry didn’t have many friends who truly understood gaming.
The grin faltered slightly.
Gerry glanced over his shoulder, his eyes scanning the crowd.
“He was right behind me a second ago…” It didn’t take long to spot him.
Gil was at the buffet table, already piling his plate high with food.
His enthusiasm was almost comical as he debated between two different kinds of hors d’oeuvres.
“Traitor,” Gerry muttered under his breath, shaking his head.
“I drag him here, and this is the thanks I get?
Unbelievable.” Allen laughed, clapping Gerry on the back.
“You should’ve known better.
Food beats loyalty every time.” Gerry sighed dramatically but couldn’t help grinning.
“Guess I’ll have to eat double to make up for it.” “Careful,” Allen warned, smirking.
“You don’t want Gil to think you’re competing with him.” “I’ll take my chances,” Gerry replied, already heading toward the buffet.
“Be right back.” Once Gerry disappeared into the crowd, Allen turned back to the group, his gaze settling on Emma, who still hadn’t released his arm.
Her expression had softened somewhat, but there was still a flicker of something possessive in her eyes.
“Emma,” Allen said gently, “maybe you should let go now?” Emma blinked, her eyes narrowing slightly as though she didn’t quite understand what he was asking.
“Why?
This is comfortable.” Evan coughed, trying-and failing-to hide his laughter.
“You’re lucky I’m not the jealous type.” She shot him a sharp look.
“Good.
It wouldn’t matter if you were.” Allen groaned, dragging a hand down his face.
“Emma, seriously-” But before he could finish, Emma finally relented.
“Fine.
But I’m staying close.” Emma finally let go of his arm, though the sharp glance she shot Evan before doing so spoke volumes.
She stepped aside, but was still nearby.
Allen resisted the urge to sigh, instead turning back to Evan and Geralt, who both looked far too amused by the whole ordeal.
“Noted,” he muttered, shooting a glance at Evan, who was grinning like he’d just won a bet.
“Your sister’s got spirit,” Evan said, clapping Allen on the shoulder.
“Yeah,” Allen replied dryly.
“That’s one way to put it.
She’s stubborn sometimes,” Allen admitted, his tone softening.
“But yeah… our relationship is pretty good.
It’s strange, though.
Adjusting to all this-her, the family-it’s a lot.” Evan nodded, his grin mellowing into something more thoughtful.
“But this is good, right?
I mean, you’ve got a brother and a sister now.
That’s… nice.
Right?” Allen paused for a moment, considering Evan’s words.
“Yeah,” he said finally.
“It is.
It’s nice to have people who actually care.” Evan smiled, clapping Allen on the shoulder.
“There you go.
See?
Not so bad after all.” Geralt cleared his throat, his usual grin still in place.
“Speaking of people who care… food cares, Allen.
And I care about food.
You should too.” Allen snorted, shaking his head.
“Go get some food before you start complaining about being hungry.” “Don’t have to tell me twice,” Geralt said, already turning toward the buffet.
Evan lingered for a moment, giving Allen a look that was both fond and a little teasing.
“Catch up with us later.
And don’t let Emma scare off too many people, yeah?” “I’ll do my best,” Allen replied, his tone dry.
“No promises.” With that, Evan and Geralt disappeared into the crowd, leaving Allen momentarily alone.
He scanned the room, his gaze landing on his girlfriends gathered near one of the quieter corners of the hall.
They were deep in conversation, their laughter occasionally rising above the hum of the party.
A small smile tugged at his lips as he started toward them.
But before he could take more than a few steps, someone else intercepted him.
“Elio.” Allen stopped, raising an eyebrow as the familiar figure stepped into his path.
Elio was wearing his trademark confident smile, though there was something more subdued about his expression-respect, maybe?
Allen wasn’t sure.
Either way, he hadn’t expected this.
“Congratulations,” Elio said, his tone warm.
“Didn’t expect to see you in this kind of spotlight.” CREATORS’ THOUGHTS UnholyGod Your gift is the motivation for my creation.
