- Chapter 1312 - Chapter 1312 A Puppy That Only Trusts Its Owner
Chapter 1312: A Puppy That Only Trusts Its Owner Chapter 1312: A Puppy That Only Trusts Its Owner Villain Ch 1312.
A Puppy That Only Trusts Its Owner Allen turned, his gaze following Larissa’s gesture.
It didn’t take long to spot Alexander.
He was standing a few paces behind Elio, looking almost exactly like his priest avatar in Hell’s Gate-soft-spoken, timid, and shy to the point of being awkward.
But what really caught Allen off guard was how much of the in-game Alexander bled into real life.
He wasn’t just shy-he looked downright uncomfortable, as though the crowd itself might swallow him whole.
“Wow,” Allen muttered, his voice tinged with disbelief.
“He’s even more shy in real life.” “I know, right?” Larissa said, her tone amused.
“He’s been tailing Elio the entire night.
Even when Elio was talking to you earlier, Alexander wasn’t far behind.” Allen’s eyes narrowed, and sure enough, Alexander was lingering nearby, shuffling his feet nervously but never straying too far from Elio.
It was almost endearing in a way, but also slightly baffling.
“He looks like he’s about to bolt,” Vivian observed, her head tilting as she studied him.
“Is he scared of people or just everyone?” “Everyone,” Bella chimed in, grinning.
“He’s like a puppy that only trusts its owner.” Zoe chuckled.
“And Elio’s the owner?” “Apparently,” Larissa said, shaking her head.
“It’s kind of ridiculous.
He’s been glued to Elio all night.” Allen sighed, rubbing the back of his neck.
“Maybe I should say hi.” “Oh, definitely,” Jane said, her smile wicked.
“I want to see how he reacts to you.” “Why do I feel like this is some kind of experiment?” Allen muttered, but he turned toward Alexander anyway.
As he started across the room, Vivian’s voice stopped him.
“Wait!
Before you go-did you know Azura wants to talk to you after the event?” Allen turned back, his brow furrowing.
“Azura?
About what?” Vivian shrugged, her expression curious.
“No idea.
But she mentioned it to Zoe earlier.” Zoe nodded.
“Yeah.
She said she had something important to discuss.
Sounded serious.” Allen’s frown deepened, but he filed the information away for later.
“Alright.

Thanks for letting me know.” “Don’t keep her waiting too long,” Larissa said, smirking. Allen nodded, then continued toward Alexander.
He noticed how Alexander immediately stiffened, his eyes darting nervously toward Elio as if silently pleading for help.
Elio, however, was too busy chatting with another guest to notice.
“Hey, Alexander,” Allen said, keeping his tone light.
Alexander’s gaze snapped to Allen, his face flushing slightly.
“Oh, um… hi,” he stammered, his voice barely above a whisper.
Allen tried not to let his amusement show.
“Enjoying the event?” “Uh, yes.
It’s… nice,” Alexander said, though his body language screamed the opposite.
He was practically vibrating with nervous energy, his hands fidgeting at his sides.
“You don’t have to be so tense,” Allen said, his voice calm.
“It’s just a party.” Alexander blinked, as though the concept of relaxing was entirely foreign to him.
“I… I know.
It’s just… There are so many people.” “Yeah, there are,” Allen agreed, nodding.
“But you’ve got friends here.
Elio’s not going anywhere.” Alexander’s gaze flicked toward Elio, and a small smile tugged at his lips.
“Yeah.
He’s… he’s been really nice.” “Good,” Allen said, his smile softening.
“That’s what friends are for.” Alexander nodded, his shoulders relaxing slightly.
“Thanks, Allen.” Allen clapped him lightly on the shoulder.
“Anytime.
Now, go grab some food before Elio eats it all.” Alexander laughed nervously, but it was a genuine laugh, and Allen counted that as a win.
As he turned back toward his girlfriends, he caught sight of Gil near the buffet, holding another plate piled high with food.
Gerry was beside him, shaking his head.
“Wow,” Allen muttered under his breath.
“He’s really going for it.” When he reached the group, Larissa raised an eyebrow.
“So?
How’d it go?” Allen smirked.
“Better than expected.
He’s shy, but he’s not hopeless.” “Progress,” Jane teased, lifting her glass in a mock toast.
“To Allen: the Alexander whisperer.” Allen rolled his eyes, a small smirk tugging at his lips.
“Very funny.
You should take that act on the road.” Bella grinned, leaning against the table.
“Hey, don’t sell her short.
She’s the comedy gold of this group.” “Oh, absolutely,” Zoe added, her expression mischievous.
She held out a forkful of food toward Allen.
“Here, you’ll need this.
Fuel up before you get dragged into another awkward conversation.” Allen hesitated for half a second before leaning forward to take the bite.
“Thanks, Zoe,” he said, his tone dry but appreciative.
“At least someone’s looking out for me.” “Always,” Zoe replied, her grin widening.
“But seriously, you might need it.
The rich world isn’t exactly a cakewalk.
Since you’re from the ‘normal people’ world, some might think you’re easier to manipulate than Jordan or Emma.” “That’s comforting,” Allen muttered, shaking his head.
Shea crossed her arms and gave him a pointed look.
“She’s not wrong.
You’ll need to prepare yourself for all kinds of nonsense after this declaration.
You’re stepping into a whole new playing field, Allen.” Vivian giggled, chiming in, “Yeah, welcome to the world of private jets and power plays.
Hope you’re ready for all the passive-aggressive conversations and awkward charity galas.” “Can’t wait,” Allen deadpanned, earning a round of laughter from the group.
Jane smirked slightly.
“At least you’ve got us.
We can scare off the riffraff.” “Scare off?” Bella said, her tone mock-offended.
“We’d be more likely to steal the spotlight and make him look even better.” “Oh, absolutely,” Zoe agreed, her grin playful.
“We’re your secret weapon.
Just point us at the problem and watch it disappear.” Larissa raised an eyebrow, her tone dry but amused.
“I think you’re all underestimating how much drama rich people can manufacture.
It’s practically an art form.” “An art form?” Shea scoffed, her tone teasing.
“More like a competitive sport.” Allen shook his head, the banter making him chuckle despite himself.
“You’re all ridiculous, you know that?” “And yet you love us,” Vivian said, winking.
“Questionable at times,” Allen quipped, earning mock gasps and exaggerated looks of offense.
“Rude,” Bella said, crossing her arms.
“We feed you, we support you, and this is the thanks we get?” “You fed me once,” Allen pointed out, glancing at Zoe.
“And it was a very good bite,” Zoe shot back, her grin unrepentant.
The group dissolved into laughter again.
