Chapter 1315: Everyone’s Playing For Something Chapter 1315: Everyone’s Playing For Something Villain Ch 1315.
Everyone’s Playing For Something Sophia scoffed, crossing her arms tighter.
“That’s a fairy tale.
You two are smarter than this.
Don’t feed me these delusional theories about perfect relationships and pure intentions.
It’s all a game.
Everyone’s playing for something.” “Wow,” Noah said, shaking his head with mock pity.
“That’s… dark.
Who hurt you, Sophia?” Her eyes flashed dangerously, but she kept her composure.
“No one hurt me.
I just see things as they are.
People play games, and it’s naive to think otherwise.” James took a slow sip from his glass, eyeing her over the rim with a smirk that screamed ‘I know something you don’t want me to know’.
He set the glass down with a quiet clink before leaning casually against the table, arms crossed.
“You sure?
Because from where I’m standing, it looks like you’re hurting yourself-with regret.” Sophia stiffened, the corners of her mouth twitching in annoyance.
“Regret?” she repeated coldly.
James shrugged, his smirk never faltering.
“Yeah, regret.
Who wouldn’t, after everything that happened?
Losing Allen the way you did… that’s gotta sting.” Noah joined in, swirling his wine lazily before taking a sip.
“And it’s not just Allen, is it?
You lost Elio too.
Man, that’s rough.” At the mention of Elio, Sophia’s expression faltered for just a split second before she masked it with indifference.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” “Oh, come on,” James said, grinning like a cat that had caught a mouse.
“You remember Elio.
He was close to you once, right?
And you know… he’s also a young master like us.” Sophia’s head snapped toward him, her eyes widening slightly in shock.
“Really?” James’s grin widened at her reaction, and Noah raised an eyebrow, clearly entertained by the sudden shift in her demeanor.
“What?” Noah said, his tone teasing.
“Are you thinking of going back to Elio now that you know he’s a young master?” James let out a low chuckle, shaking his head.

“Wow, Sophia.
You’re starting to sound like a gold digger.” Both of them burst into laughter, their mockery loud enough to make a few nearby guests glance in their direction.
Sophia’s face darkened as she realized they had been toying with her, feeding her a lie just to see her reaction.
“You!” she hissed through gritted teeth, her hand tightening around her glass as if contemplating whether or not to throw it at them.
James held up his hands in mock surrender, his grin still firmly in place.
“Hey, lower your voice.
You’re under surveillance.” He pointed discreetly toward two security guards stationed near the entrance, both of whom were glancing their way with wary expressions.
Noah leaned in slightly, his voice low but pointed.
“They’ll throw you out if you cause trouble.
And trust me, that’s not the kind of attention you want.
Not just for your job, but your reputation.
You know this isn’t some random party.
This is a big event, Sophia.
One wrong move, and you’ll be remembered for all the wrong reasons.” Sophia forced herself to relax, though every muscle in her body screamed at her to lash out.
“Why?
Is it because of you, James?” she asked sarcastically, her tone dripping with disdain.
James grinned innocently.
“Maybe.” Somehow, his nonchalant attitude only made her angrier.
But she kept her cool, hiding her frustration behind a tight smile.
Inside, however, her mind was racing.
‘They think they can humiliate me?
Fine.
Let’s see how smug they are when I ruin this event.’ If she couldn’t have what Allen had, she could at least make sure no one else enjoyed it either.
She took another sip of her wine, her expression neutral but her thoughts anything but.
‘Yeah, I’ll destroy what I can’t have.’ Plans began to form in her mind, little ideas of how she could cause chaos without directly implicating herself.
But before she could dwell too long on her schemes, James spoke up again, draining his glass in one gulp and setting it down on the table with a quiet thud.
“Oh, right.
I forgot to tell you something.” Sophia glanced at him warily, her irritation evident.
“What now?” James leaned in slightly, his voice dropping to a low, almost conspiratorial tone.
“If you’ve got bad plans, you might want to cancel them.” Sophia’s eyes narrowed.
“Why?” James didn’t answer immediately.
He took a step closer, just enough to make the conversation feel more private, more personal.
His smirk turned cold, calculated.
“Because we know something we shouldn’t,” he said, his voice barely above a whisper.
“Something we heard from Liam and Darren.” The mention of Liam and Darren made Sophia’s blood run cold.
The video!
Her grip on the glass faltered for a split second before she steadied herself.
‘They know?’ Panic crept into her chest, tightening like a vice.
‘They shouldn’t.
There’s no way.’ “What are you talking about?” she demanded, trying to keep her voice steady, but the edge of fear was unmistakable.
“Oh, you know exactly what we’re talking about,” Noah said, his grin widening as he leaned on the table casually.
“Don’t you?” Sophia’s heart pounded in her chest.
She couldn’t afford for them to know.
That was her ace card-the leverage she had over Liam and Darren.
If anyone found out about it, her control over them would vanish, and with it, any chance she had of regaining her footing in this social game.
“You’re bluffing,” she said, her voice low and tense.
James raised an eyebrow, clearly enjoying her discomfort.
“Maybe.
Maybe not.” “Either way,” Noah added, finishing the last of his wine and placing the empty glass down with a satisfied sigh, “you might want to rethink whatever you’re planning.
Wouldn’t want anything… unfortunate to happen.” Sophia’s eyes narrowed, but she didn’t respond.
The smugness radiating from James and Noah was enough to make her blood boil, but she knew better than to take the bait outright.
Noah took a small step closer, lowering his voice to just above a whisper.
“Since, you know, more than half of this room is filled with tycoons, and a lot of them… Well, let’s just say they don’t always play fair.
Some of them are the type to pull strings in ways you wouldn’t even notice until it’s too late.” CREATORS’ THOUGHTS UnholyGod Your gift is the motivation for my creation.
