Chapter 1316: Unnecessary Chaos Chapter 1316: Unnecessary Chaos Villain Ch 1316.
Unnecessary Chaos He paused, letting that sink in before continuing, “And Allen?
Whether you like it or not, he’s part of that circle now.
He’s got more power than you think.
Power that goes beyond making you unemployed-he has the kind of power that could make you homeless or more…
If you know what I mean…” Sophia clenched her jaw, glaring at him.
“He wouldn’t-” “I wouldn’t be so sure if I were you,” James interrupted, his voice cutting through her words.
He didn’t even bother turning to her as he spoke, his gaze fixed on something-or rather, someone-across the room.
Sophia followed his line of sight and noticed a man standing near the edge of the hall, dressed in a sleek black suit.
He wasn’t one of the regular staff members; his posture was too rigid, his demeanor too serious.
He was watching them, his eyes sharp, calculating.
The gold name tag on his suit.
It didn’t take long for Sophia to figure out who he worked for.
‘Goldbornes.’ Her breath caught in her throat as the realization hit her.
She glanced back toward Allen, who was still standing with his girlfriends, seemingly engaged in light conversation.
But as if sensing her gaze, Allen glanced in her direction.
Their eyes met, and for a split second, time seemed to freeze.
His gaze was cold.
Not indifferent or dismissive-cold, as if silently warning her.
‘If you try to play your games here, I’ll make you regret ever stepping into this room.’ Sophia’s heart pounded in her chest.
She hadn’t expected this side of Allen.
The Allen she had known was easy to manipulate, always desperate to please.
But this Allen… he was different.
James smirked, clearly enjoying her reaction.
“Damn… I like this guy.
That’s how you do it.” Noah nodded in agreement, his grin widening.
“He’s definitely a Goldborne.
No doubt about it.” James straightened, adjusting his suit as if wrapping up a business deal.
“I guess we’ll stop our little chat here.
Don’t want Allen to think we’re close.

And look-there’s Elio.” He gestured subtly toward Elio, who was standing not far away, chatting with a few other guests.
“I wouldn’t want to get kicked out of the Order of Valiance either.” Sophia said nothing, her mind still reeling from the cold stare Allen had given her.
She felt cornered, trapped in a game she hadn’t realized had already started.
James and Noah turned to leave, but Noah paused mid-step, glancing over his shoulder with a thoughtful expression.
“Oh, right.
One more thing.” Sophia’s eyes flicked toward him, wary.
“What?” Noah’s grin returned, but this time there was no humor in it-just a cold warning.
“Mila.
My sister.
Her in-game name is Shanty.
You threatened her once in Hell’s Gate, didn’t you?
Make sure you don’t do it again.” Sophia’s lips parted in surprise, but before she could say anything, Noah turned back around and walked off with James, leaving her standing there, speechless.
For a moment, Sophia didn’t move.
Her mind raced, trying to process everything that had just happened.
They knew too much.
More than she was comfortable with.
And worse, they weren’t afraid to use it against her.
She glanced back toward the man in black-the Goldborne staff member who was still watching her from across the room.
Then her gaze shifted to Allen once more.
He wasn’t looking at her anymore, but the warning in his eyes lingered in her mind.
‘He’s not the same.
He’s changed.’ Taking a deep breath, she forced herself to calm down.
‘Fine.
You win this round, Allen.
But this isn’t over.’ Sophia picked up her glass again, taking a long sip of the remaining wine.
She couldn’t act now-not with so many eyes on her.
But she wasn’t giving up.
If anything, this only made her more determined.
They thought they had the upper hand.
They thought they could intimidate her into submission.
But Sophia wasn’t someone who gave up easily.
‘I’ll find a way.’ Sophia’s thoughts were razor-sharp, her mind already calculating possible moves she could make to regain control of the situation.
She didn’t care what James or Noah thought-they were just privileged boys playing at being important.
She would figure something out.
But before she could get too lost in her scheming, her eyes caught a movement near Allen.
Mr.
Bell was approaching him, his expression carefully neutral, but there was a hint of tension in his shoulders.
Sophia huffed quietly, her annoyance bubbling up again.
‘What a shit,’ she thought bitterly.
Of course, Mr.
Bell was going to try and smooth things over with Allen now.
He wasn’t stupid.
He knew that one wrong move could cost him everything.
But seeing him act so civil toward Allen made her stomach turn.
Meanwhile, at Allen’s circle, the atmosphere was light and relaxed.
Vivian was the first to notice Allen’s slightly distracted expression and giggled, nudging him playfully.
“Hey, earth to Allen.
What’s got you so deep in thought?” Allen blinked, snapping out of his brief daze.
He gave a small smile, setting down his glass.
“Nothing.” Shea, standing next to him, raised an eyebrow.
“Nothing, huh?
You’ve been glancing around like you’re waiting for something.
Or someone.
What’s going on?” Allen chuckled softly, though there was a guarded edge to it.
“Sophia.” That single name was enough to change the mood slightly.
Jane’s eyes narrowed, and Zoe, who had been mid-bite, paused with her fork halfway to her mouth.
Jane crossed her arms.
“Sophia?
What about her?” Allen leaned back slightly, swirling the wine in his glass before taking a sip.
“Not just her.
James and Noah too.
They were talking to her earlier, and I caught them staring at me.” “And?” Larissa asked, her tone calm but curious.
“And,” Allen said, setting down his glass, “I already ordered extra supervision for her.
Just in case.
She’s got a flair for drama, and I don’t want any unnecessary chaos tonight.” That earned him a chorus of giggles from the girls.
