Chapter 1321: Learn Fast or Get Crushed Chapter 1321: Learn Fast or Get Crushed Villain Ch 1321.
Learn Fast or Get Crushed “I’m gonna grab another drink,” Jane said, placing her empty glass on a passing waiter’s tray.
“Anyone else?” “Yeah, me too,” Larissa said, stretching a little.
“Also, I think I need to find the ladies’ room before things start getting interesting.” “Same here,” Bella added, glancing at the others.
“We’ll be back in a bit.” “I’ll go with them,” Shea said, finishing off her champagne.
“We don’t want to miss Allen’s match.” Allen chuckled softly.
“You guys sure know how to time your breaks.” “Just making sure we’re ready for the real show,” Zoe teased, giving him a playful wink before following the others.
With that, the girls dispersed, leaving Allen standing alone by the table.
He didn’t mind-he needed a moment to himself anyway.
Allen’s gaze drifted back toward the line.
He could see Elio nearing the front, his posture relaxed but his eyes sharp, focused.
Unlike most of the others, Elio wasn’t here to test the tech-he was here to duel.
And Allen had a feeling that once Elio and he stepped into the dome, things would finally get interesting.
The other participants so far had treated it like a tech showcase, carefully poking around, experimenting with the environment, and barely using the skills.
That was fine, it served the investors’ purpose, but Allen knew that people were waiting for something more.
He leaned against a nearby table, sipping his champagne.
The glass was cool against his fingers, the bubbles fizzing softly as they slid down his throat.
An empty plate rested beside him, the remnants of what had been a well-prepared dinner.
The food was excellent-better than most of what he’d tasted in fancy restaurants.
But tonight, it barely registered.
His mind was elsewhere, caught between the buzzing atmosphere of the party and the growing anticipation for his duel with Elio.
The dome gleamed under the soft lights, its smooth surface reflecting the room’s opulent décor.
Inside, Noah and James were currently up.
Despite their earlier excitement, their match was less of a fight and more of a playful exploration.
They weren’t taking it seriously, opting instead to test how responsive the environment was, occasionally laughing as they tried random skills.
Allen’s lips twitched into a half-smile as he watched them.
Typical Noah and James.
They were here for the experience, not the competition.
“Need a company, Mr.
Goldborne?” a familiar voice teased from beside him.

Allen turned his head slightly to see Mila standing there, holding a glass of wine with a smile on her lips.
Her hair was perfectly styled, her dress sleek and elegant, yet understated enough to blend in with the high-class crowd.
“Not really,” Allen replied, his voice calm as he shifted his attention back to the dome.
Mila chuckled softly, stepping closer to stand beside him.
“Not really, huh?
That’s not a no.
Don’t worry, I’m not here to pester you.
Just figured you might want someone to talk to while waiting for your turn.” Allen raised an eyebrow, glancing at her out of the corner of his eye.
“And you decided you’re that someone?” “Well, someone has to be,” Mila said lightly, taking a small sip of her wine.
“Besides, it’s not every day you get to chat with the newest Goldborne in the room.
People might start thinking I’m missing out on something if I don’t.” Allen chuckled, shaking his head.
“Subtle.” “I try,” Mila said with a grin.
She leaned slightly on the table, her gaze following his toward the dome.
“So, what do you think so far?
Impressed by your own tech?” Allen’s expression didn’t change, but there was a flicker of pride in his eyes.
“It’s not just mine.
A lot of people worked hard to make this happen.
I’m just the one standing in front of it tonight.” “Hmm, humble too,” Mila mused.
“You know, you’re not what I expected.” Allen tilted his head slightly, curious.
“What did you expect?” “Honestly?” Mila said, setting her glass down gently.
“Some spoiled rich kid who suddenly inherited a fortune and thought he could play with the big boys.” Allen didn’t react immediately, instead taking another sip of his champagne before responding.
“Disappointed?” “Maybe a little,” Mila admitted with a smirk.
“But mostly surprised.
You seem… grounded.
For someone in your position.” “Comes with the territory,” Allen said simply.
“You learn fast or get crushed.
I’d rather learn.” Mila gave him a long, considering look.
“Smart answer.
I like that.” Allen didn’t say anything, simply offering a faint smile in return.
He could tell she wasn’t just here for idle conversation.
They stood in silence for a moment, the soft hum of the party filling the air around them.
From across the room, laughter echoed faintly as guests continued to mingle, but here, by the edge of the dome’s perimeter, the atmosphere felt a little more private.
Mila swirled the wine in her glass absentmindedly before speaking again, her tone quieter but more pointed.
“May I ask you something?” Mila’s eyes didn’t waver from his face, and there was a hint of curiosity-maybe even a little frustration-in her expression.
Allen raised an eyebrow slightly but nodded.
“Go ahead.” “Why did you…” Mila hesitated for a fraction of a second before continuing, “hide this from me?
The last time we met.
When you decided to deal with me and take this building as the event’s venue… you already knew your true identity.
Yet, you claimed yourself as Goldborne’s representative rather than the young master.” Allen took a moment to consider her words before answering.
His expression remained calm, but there was a hint of amusement in his eyes.
“It wasn’t my place to claim that title.” Mila frowned slightly, clearly not satisfied with the vague response.
“What do you mean?” Allen turned to face her more fully, leaning slightly against the edge of the table.
“I mean, it wasn’t me who had the right to announce it.
That was my father’s decision, not mine.
At the time, I wasn’t interested in getting ahead of him.
I didn’t want to stir up unnecessary attention before he was ready to make it public.” CREATORS’ THOUGHTS UnholyGod Your gift is the motivation for my creation.
