Chapter 1326: Who Are You?
Chapter 1326: Who Are You?
Villain Ch 1326.
Who Are You?
“So, you decided to hold back until the end,” Elio muttered, his voice low but tense.
Allen’s smirk faded, replaced by a neutral expression.
“I didn’t hold back.
I fought seriously, but I also knew the point wasn’t to destroy you-it was to duel.
There’s a difference.” Elio knew Allen was right, but it didn’t make the situation any easier to swallow.
He exhaled sharply, forcing himself to relax.
‘Calm down.
Don’t let it get to you.’ “Fine,” Elio said after a moment, his tone more controlled.
“You win.
But next time, no holding back.
I don’t care about reputations or rankings-I just want a real fight.” Allen nodded slightly, his expression unreadable.
“Next time, then.” The soft chime of the system marked the end of their session.
The environment around them flickered for a moment before dissolving into nothingness.
A second later, the capsule opened, and Elio blinked as he adjusted to the bright lights of the real world.
The crowd outside had gathered closer, their murmurs and whispers filling the air.
Some were clearly impressed, while others looked like they were still processing what they had just witnessed.
Then came the applause-loud, enthusiastic, and genuine.
It wasn’t over-the-top, but it was clear that this duel had been the most exciting match of the night so far.
Elio stepped out of the capsule, forcing a smile onto his face despite the swirling storm of thoughts in his head.
His heart was still racing, not just from the adrenaline of the fight, but from that horrible, nagging feeling that something wasn’t right.
‘Allen’s movements… they were too familiar.’ He tried to shake it off, but the thought clung to him like a shadow.
Sure, Allen and the Devil Emperor used entirely different weapons-daggers versus a dark sword.
And this duel had been fought without any skills, unlike his battles with the Devil Emperor, which were filled with powerful, deadly abilities.
Still, despite all the differences, there was something in the way Allen moved, the precision of his attacks, the way he dodged at the last second.
And the feel of ‘he almost got him’.
It felt… eerily similar.

‘Is Allen…’ Elio’s mind reeled at the possibility.
But no, it didn’t make sense.
He never once had he suspected anything like this.
Allen had always played fair.
And yet, tonight’s duel had planted a seed of doubt.
Before he could spiral further into his thoughts, a hand landed firmly on his shoulder.
Elio flinched slightly, startled out of his reverie.
He turned around to see Allen standing there, his expression calm and composed, as always.
There was no trace of the smug smirk from earlier-just a simple, neutral look.
“Nice fight,” Allen said, extending his hand.
Elio hesitated for half a second, his mind still half-lost in the chaotic swirl of thoughts.
Then, with a conscious effort, he took Allen’s hand, shaking it firmly.
“Yeah… nice fight.” Their handshake lingered a little longer than necessary, neither of them saying anything more.
For a moment, Elio searched Allen’s eyes, looking for… something.
A clue, a crack in the façade.
But Allen’s gaze remained steady, giving nothing away.
“You’re a lot better than last time,” Elio said, pulling his hand back.
He forced his voice to sound casual, though the tension in his chest hadn’t eased.
Allen shrugged lightly.
“Had some time to practice.
Figured I’d need it if I was going to keep up with you.” Elio let out a short laugh, though it didn’t quite reach his eyes.
“Yeah, well, you didn’t just keep up.
You almost wiped the floor with me.” Allen didn’t respond, but there was a flicker of something in his expression-pride, maybe?
Or something else entirely?
Whatever it was, it made Elio feel uneasy again.
Before the silence could stretch too long, the crowd began to shift around them.
Several guests approached, offering polite congratulations and comments about the duel.
Elio barely registered most of it, nodding along and offering half-hearted responses when necessary.
His mind was still elsewhere, replaying the fight in his head over and over again.
While Allen?
He turned and walked in another direction with a simple excuse that he had another business to do.
“Dude, that was insane!” James’s voice cut through the noise as he and Noah approached, both of them grinning widely.
James clapped a hand on Elio’s back, nearly knocking the wind out of him.
“You almost had him!” “Almost,” Elio echoed, his voice distant.
Noah leaned in, his eyes gleaming with curiosity.
“Seriously though, that was some next-level stuff.
You guys weren’t just testing the tech-you were actually trying to win.” Elio shrugged, trying to play it off.
“What’s the point of a duel if you’re not going to take it seriously?” James laughed, clearly enjoying himself.
“Man, I’m just glad it wasn’t me in there.
Allen looked like he was out for blood.” Allen smirked slightly but didn’t say anything.
Elio couldn’t help but glance at him again, that nagging feeling returning.
‘Out for blood… yeah, that’s what it felt like.’ “So, what do you think of the system?” Noah asked, turning his attention back to Elio.
“Pretty smooth, right?” “Yeah,” Elio said absently, his fingers tightening around the hilt of his sword as he remembered how real everything had felt.
“It’s… impressive.
Feels almost too real.” “Exactly!” Noah said excitedly.
“That’s what makes it so cool.
Imagine the tournaments we could have with this thing.” Elio nodded, but his thoughts were far from tournaments.
‘Too real… too familiar.’ He needed answers, but now wasn’t the time.
For now, he had to act normal, keep things light.
“Anyway, I’m starving,” James said, already scanning the room for the nearest food station.
“Let’s grab something to eat before the next round starts.” “Go ahead,” Elio said, his voice steady despite the turmoil inside.
“I’ll catch up with you guys later.” James and Noah exchanged a brief glance before shrugging.
“Suit yourself,” James said, clapping him on the back one last time before heading off with Noah.
Once they were gone, Elio turned back toward the dome.
He could see the staff resetting the system for the next round.
A single thought echoed through his mind.
