Chapter 1330: The Past That Won’t Let Go Chapter 1330: The Past That Won’t Let Go Villain Ch 1330.
The Past That Won’t Let Go “I got it,” Allen said, keeping his tone neutral.
“I’ll deal with it.” “Nice,” Azura said, satisfied.
Kai stepped forward.
“You two should head back to the party.
People might start asking questions if you’re gone too long.” “Wait,” Azura said, holding up a hand.
“Let me go out first.
Elio and Alexander are around, and they don’t know I’m your cousin.
It’s better if it stays that way for now.
I’ll tell them one day, but right now it’ll just be awkward.” Allen raised an eyebrow but didn’t argue.
“Fine.
Go ahead.” Azura shot him a quick smile before heading out, her steps light but composed.
Once she disappeared into the main hall, Allen exhaled, rolling his shoulders slightly to release some tension.
“I’ll catch up in a bit,” he told Kai.
“I need a minute.” Kai nodded without question.
“Understood.
I’ll be nearby if you need anything.” With that, Kai returned to his duties, leaving Allen standing alone in the hallway.
He glanced around before deciding to head to the bathroom.
The quiet, enclosed space seemed like the perfect place to gather his thoughts and calm himself before diving back into the chaos of the party.
The bathroom was empty, the soft hum of the ventilation system filling the silence.
Allen leaned over the sink, turning on the faucet and letting the cool water run over his hands.
The chill helped ground him, washing away some of the lingering tension from the VIP room encounter.
He took a moment to look at himself in the mirror-straightening his posture, adjusting his tie, and putting on the mask he’d learned to wear so well.
The young master’s face.
It was a look he was still getting used to.
Polished, confident, untouchable.
Not quite the same as the guy he saw in the mirror a few years ago-the one who wore worn-out T-shirts, lived off instant noodles, and barely scraped by.
Satisfied that he looked the part, he turned off the faucet and dried his hands.
‘Time to head back.’ He stepped out of the bathroom, already bracing himself for another round of polite small talk and subtle politics.
But just as he turned toward the hall, someone blocked his path.

“Sophia?” Allen said, blinking in surprise.
She stood in the middle of the empty corridor, a glass of wine in her hand and a faint flush on her cheeks.
Her posture was a little too relaxed, her gaze a little too unfocused.
Drunk.
Or tipsy, at the very least.
But not so much that she didn’t know what she was doing.
Allen’s first instinct was to walk past her, pretend she wasn’t there, and avoid any unnecessary drama.
But as he tried to step around her, Sophia moved to block him again.
“Allen, wait,” she said, her voice quieter than usual but laced with something… desperate.
He sighed internally, keeping his expression calm.
“What do you want?” “I just…” She trailed off, taking a step closer.
Her eyes searched his face, as if trying to find something that wasn’t there.
“I just want to talk.” “This isn’t the time or place,” Allen said, his voice firm but not unkind.
He glanced up at the nearest CCTV camera, making sure she noticed it too.
“There are cameras here.
People will see.” Sophia gave a bitter laugh, swaying slightly on her feet.
“Afraid they’ll think something’s going on between us again?
Don’t worry-I’m not here to cause trouble.
I just… I want to fix things.” Allen’s jaw tightened.
‘Fix things?
Again?
After everything?’ He fought the urge to snap at her, keeping his tone measured.
“I told you.
There’s nothing to fix.
We’ve both moved on.” “Have we?” she challenged, taking another step closer.
The scent of wine clung to her, mingling with her perfume.
“Because I haven’t.
And don’t pretend like you didn’t care.
You did.
I know you did.” Allen’s gaze hardened.
“I did care.
But you threw that away.” Sophia flinched, the words hitting her harder than she expected.
For a moment, she looked like she might argue, but then she just laughed softly, shaking her head.
“You’ve changed.
You’re not the same Allen I used to know.” “People change,” Allen said simply.
“Especially when they have to.” Sophia stared at him for a long moment, her expression shifting from hurt to something more calculating.
“You’re with them now, aren’t you?
Those girls.
The ones always around you.
That’s why you’re acting like this.
Not to mention, you’re rich now.
A Goldborne.
Oh, wow!” She gave a mocking smile, her tone dripping with sarcasm.
“What a transformation.
From a nobody to the young master of one of the wealthiest families.” Allen clenched his jaw, forcing himself to stay calm.
He didn’t want this conversation, not now, not ever.
But Sophia wasn’t giving him much of a choice.
He crossed his arms, his voice cool.
“Who I’m with isn’t your concern.” “Maybe it should be,” she muttered.
“You know… I didn’t end things because I didn’t care.
I ended things because I didn’t see a future with you.
You didn’t have… this.” She gestured vaguely around, as if the lavish party and his new status explained everything.
“But now… now you do.” Allen felt a sharp sting of irritation, but he refused to let it show.
He clenched his fists briefly before forcing them to relax at his sides.
“If you’re trying to say you want another chance, the answer is no.” Sophia’s eyes widened slightly, as if she hadn’t expected him to shut her down so quickly.
For a moment, there was a flicker of genuine surprise, maybe even hurt, but it vanished as quickly as it appeared.
Then she smiled again, a smile that didn’t reach her eyes.
“Of course, you’ll say no.
I know it!
But…” She paused before continuing with a quiet certainty that unnerved him.
“I know that someday you’ll come back to me.
I just need to wait.” Allen’s patience snapped.
His tone hardened.
