Chapter 1351: You Think You Can Drag Us Down With You?
Villain Ch 1351.
You Think You Can Drag Us Down With You?
Sophia sat in the corner of the bustling café, her arms crossed as she glared at Darren and Liam.
Both men looked agitated, their body language tense as they settled into their seats across from her.
The coffee they ordered remained untouched, the atmosphere thick with unspoken accusations.
“You’re late,” Sophia snapped, breaking the silence.
Darren leaned forward, his expression hard.
“You texted us in the middle of the workday, Sophia.
What’s so urgent that it couldn’t wait?” Sophia smirked coldly, leaning back in her chair.
“Oh, you know, just the little matter of you two spilling our secrets to James and Noah.” Liam’s brow furrowed, and he shook his head.
“What are you even talking about?
We didn’t tell them anything,” he denied.
Sophia scoffed, her voice dripping with sarcasm.
“Right.
So they just magically knew about things they shouldn’t have?
Don’t play dumb with me.” Darren’s jaw tightened.
“We’re not playing dumb.
We didn’t say a word to them.” Sophia slammed her palm against the table, her voice rising slightly.
“Don’t lie to me!
If I find out you’ve been running your mouths-” She paused, lowering her voice but not her intensity.
“-you know what I can do with this.” She pulled out her phone and tapped the screen, showing a video file.
The title alone made Darren and Liam pale.
“You wouldn’t,” Darren muttered, his voice low but laced with anger.
“Wouldn’t I?” Sophia countered, her smirk growing.
“I’m tired of being the one everyone underestimates.
Maybe a little reminder is what you two need.” Liam clenched his fists, his voice shaking with controlled frustration.
“We did it with consent, Sophia.
You’re twisting the facts.
Follow new episodes on the "N0vel1st.c0m".
That video-” Sophia cut him off with a laugh, cold and sharp.
“Facts are irrelevant when it comes to public perception.
You think people will side with you?
Over me?
Please.” Darren took a deep breath, trying to steady himself.
“This isn’t about that, is it?
This is about Allen.” Sophia froze for a moment, her expression darkening.
“What about Allen?” Darren exchanged a glance with Liam before answering.
“We saw the news.
About him being a Goldborne.
Is that what this is really about?
Are you mad because he’s doing better than you now?” Sophia’s eyes narrowed, her voice a deadly whisper.
“Don’t you dare bring him into this.” Liam, emboldened by Darren’s words, leaned forward.
“It’s true, isn’t it?
You’re throwing all this at us because you can’t touch him anymore.
So you’re taking your anger out on us.” Sophia’s hand trembled as she gripped her coffee cup, her knuckles white.
“You think you’re so clever, don’t you?
Blaming me when you’re the ones who can’t keep your mouths shut.” Darren shook his head.
“We didn’t say a thing, Sophia.
If you’re paranoid about James and Noah knowing something, maybe you should look at someone else.
Because it wasn’t us.” Sophia’s lips curled into a sneer, but she didn’t respond immediately.
Instead, she took a long sip of her coffee, her mind racing.
Were they telling the truth?
She didn’t trust them, but their reactions seemed genuine.
Liam crossed his arms, his voice calmer but no less firm.
“You’re digging yourself into a hole.
If you keep threatening people, it’s going to backfire.” Sophia raised an eyebrow, her tone mocking.
“Oh, is that a warning?
How noble of you.” Darren leaned forward, his gaze piercing.
“No, it’s a fact.
You’re so focused on control that you’re not seeing the bigger picture.
People are catching on to your games, Sophia.
You’re running out of time.” Sophia stared at him, her smirk faltering for just a moment.
“Remember-if I go down, I’m taking you with me.” Liam and Darren exchanged a glance.
Darren’s hands rested on the table, his knuckles tight against the surface.
His calm expression barely hid the tension building beneath.
Liam, on the other hand, leaned back in his chair, his usual fiery temper seemingly extinguished.
It wasn’t resignation-it was something colder, more calculated.
“That’s ridiculous,” Darren finally said, his voice measured, but the sharp edge was unmistakable.
“Why do you think you can drag us down with you?” Sophia raised an eyebrow, taking a long, deliberate sip of her coffee.
“Because I can.
And you know it.” Liam exhaled heavily, the sound almost resigned.
“You’re really pushing it, Sophia.
This is getting old.” Sophia tilted her head, her eyes narrowing.
“Tired already, Liam?
I thought you had more fight in you.
You’re nothing but a couple of cowards, always waiting for me to clean up your mess.” Liam didn’t respond immediately.
He exchanged another glance with Darren, who gave the slightest nod.
It was subtle, but the meaning was clear-they were on the same page.
They would initiate their plan and record all of this!
Liam chuckled, low and bitter.
“You know what, Sophia?
You’re right.
You’ve always been right.
We’re the cowards, and you’re the genius who keeps everything together.” Sophia’s smirk widened, her confidence bolstered by his words.
“Finally, some honesty.
Took you long enough.” Darren leaned forward, his tone calm but laced with an undercurrent of exhaustion.
“We just want to make sure we’re all clear here, Sophia.
You’re calling the shots, right?
Everything that’s happened-every decision-it’s all on you.” Sophia’s eyes gleamed, misinterpreting his tone as submission.
“Exactly.
Glad you’re finally catching on.” Liam leaned forward slightly, a faux look of defeat on his face.
“So, just to be clear… if anyone were to find out about all this, it wouldn’t be us to blame, right?
It’s all you.
You’re the mastermind.” Sophia laughed, a sharp, cold sound.
“Of course.
That’s what I’ve been saying.
You’re just following orders.
If anyone has a problem with it, they can take it up with me.” Darren nodded slowly, pulling his phone slightly closer on the table, the screen dark.
They needed to get her clear voice.
“Good to know.
But why go to such lengths, Sophia?
Why not just let it go?” Her smirk returned, sharp as a blade.
“Because letting go is for weaklings.
I’ve worked too hard to let someone like Allen or you two idiots ruin everything I’ve built.” CREATORS’ THOUGHTS UnholyGod Your gift is the motivation for my creation.
