You Really Suck at Flexing Your Wealth!
The realization still felt weird.
Just a few months ago, he had been just another player, another face in the crowd.
Now?
He couldn’t even stand in a train station without people double-taking.
He considered pulling his helmet back on, but that would just make it more obvious.
So instead, he ignored them.
Just another guy, standing in a crowded place, waiting like everyone else.
He adjusted his jacket and walked inside, heading straight for the entrance.
That was the best place to wait.
The spot where everyone had to pass through eventually.
And sure enough- There they were.
Evan and Geralt, pushing a trolley loaded with bags.
Allen’s eyes widened slightly.
They weren’t just carrying luggage.
Their cart was stacked with shopping bags.
A ridiculous amount.
Shirts.
Watches.
Bags.
Food.
Allen’s gaze caught on something.
A woman’s bag.
Expensive-looking.
He bet that was for their mom.
His jaw dropped.
“That’s not gonna fit in the cabin,” he said, half-laughing, half-exasperated.

Geralt, completely unfazed, waved him off.
“Don’t worry.
They provide extra baggage.
I already bought it online.” Allen blinked.
Of course, he did.
Evan, meanwhile, pulled out the bag and held it up.
“Mom always wanted one of these,” he said casually.
“Saw it on sale and figured-why not?” Allen’s smile faltered.
The bag.
That exact model.
He had bought the same one.
Years ago.
With his own money.
It was a birthday gift.
He remembered how excited he had been, how he had carefully wrapped it, imagining his mom’s reaction when she opened it.
But she hadn’t even accepted it.
She had taken one look at it and said she didn’t like the model.
More than that-she had told him she didn’t want gifts from him.
She had said she just wanted him to visit less.
Because her husband didn’t like him.
Because, to her, Allen was just a thing from the past-a reminder of a life she wanted to forget.
That bag had never even reached her hands.
Allen had ended up giving it away to a friend who had been panicking about a last-minute birthday present for his girlfriend.
He hadn’t thought about it in years.
And now?
Now Evan was holding the same bag.
And talking like their mom would actually love it.
Allen’s chest felt tight for a second.
But he didn’t say anything.
Didn’t tell Evan.
Didn’t tell anyone.
Instead, he forced a small smile.
“It’s a nice bag,” he said.
His voice was even, unreadable.
“I’m sure Mom will like it.” Evan grinned.
“Yup.
I’m sure of it.” He glanced at the bag again, his expression genuinely proud, as if he had just picked the perfect gift.
Then, with a satisfied nod, he carefully placed it back inside the luggage, securing everything in place.
Allen watched, his hands shoved into his pockets, his face neutral.
But his thoughts?
A mess.
He could still hear his mother’s words from years ago.
The coldness in her tone.
The way she hadn’t even given his gift a second glance.
And yet… Evan truly believed she’d be happy with this.
Allen didn’t know whether to laugh or sigh.
But instead, he just exhaled and forced his thoughts away.
No use thinking about things that wouldn’t change.
“C’mon,” he said, shaking himself out of it.
“I’ll escort you guys inside.” Geralt raised an eyebrow, smirking.
“Should we feel honored that the young master is escorting us?” Allen smirked back.
“Yes.
My escort services are very expensive.” That made them laugh.
The tension in Allen’s chest eased just a little.
They still had about half an hour left before departure, so there was no rush.
As they walked inside, weaving through the busy station, they checked in their luggage, making sure everything was properly registered and stored.
Their shopping bags, though?
Those were too valuable to be tossed with the rest.
They’d be taking those with them in the cabin.
Because of course they would.
Allen listened as Evan and Geralt excitedly talked about their shopping spree.
“I still can’t believe we actually went all out,” Evan said, shaking his head.
“We don’t even shop that much normally.” “It was the sales,” Geralt pointed out.
“We got good deals today.” Evan nodded in agreement.
“Yeah, I mean, the watch store alone?
That was a steal.
Got one for myself and one for Dad.” Allen smirked.
“So your self-control just evaporated the moment you saw a discount sign?” Geralt chuckled.
“Basically.” Evan just grinned shamelessly.
“Look, if you saw those price cuts, you’d have gone crazy too.” Allen raised an eyebrow.
“Mm.
Doubt it.” Evan nudged him playfully.
“C’mon, what about you?
Don’t tell me you never get tempted by a good deal.” Allen shrugged.
“Depends.
If it’s something I actually need, then yeah.” Evan grinned.
“And if it’s something you want?” Geralt smirked, shaking his head.
“Evan, you’re forgetting something.” Evan raised an eyebrow.
“What?” Geralt gestured toward Allen.
“He’s a young master now.
Rich guy.
Sale or not, price isn’t a problem for him.” Evan’s eyes widened for a second before he snapped his fingers.
“Ah, right.
I forgot!” Allen groaned.
“Don’t start.” But it was too late.
Evan nudged him with an exaggerated grin.
“So, Mr.
Young Master, tell us-when are you going to fully embrace your spoiled billionaire lifestyle?
Fancy suits, custom watches, private jet-” Allen shot him a flat look.
“Never.” Geralt chuckled.
“Come on, at least admit it’s convenient.” Allen shrugged.
“It’s… whatever.” Evan laughed.
“Oh wow.
You really suck at flexing your wealth.” Allen smirked.
“That’s because I don’t need to.” Evan mock-gasped.
“Ohhh, the confidence.
He doesn’t even need to flex.
The true rich guy mentality.” Allen gave him a light shove.
“Shut up.” Geralt grinned, shaking his head.
“In all seriousness though, how are things?
Business, writing, gaming-how’s everything working out?” Allen thought for a moment before answering.
“Busy as hell, but manageable.” Evan nodded.
“That’s good.
So, are you still planning to do everything on your own, or have you actually considered hiring an assistant?” Allen scoffed.
“I already have Kai.” Geralt snorted.
“Kai is your butler.
That’s different.” CREATORS’ THOUGHTS UnholyGod Your gift is the motivation for my creation.
