Chapter 1381: The Game Outside The Game Chapter 1381: The Game Outside The Game Villain Ch 1381.
The Game Outside The Game Allen tilted his head slightly, pretending to be intrigued.
“Oh?” He kept his expression neutral, but inside, he held back an evil smirk.
He didn’t expect the bait he laid down earlier to catch this much attention-especially from James and Noah.
That was unexpected.
But in a way, it was perfect.
Now all he had to do was wait.
The pawns were moving on their own.
Tommy rubbed his chin, eyes narrowing.
“Yeah, man.
Like… This is different.” Allen shrugged.
“Devil Emperor is a villain in the game, not in the real world.
You might have forgotten that.” Tommy scoffed, shaking his head.
“Yeah, yeah.
I remember.
But I guess I was just shocked or… didn’t expect it exactly.
Like, a girl like this?
A player?
Messing up on this level?” He sighed heavily, crossing his arms.
“I also read the forum post about her being at the event and getting an invitation from the devs.
But, lucky for us, Alexander sent over the photos and all.
Turns out she was just a plus-one from her job.” Allen raised an eyebrow, pretending to be shocked.
“Oh, she claimed that?” Tommy nodded.
“Yup.
The staff already locked her post though.
All my guild members already know.
Her being ‘invited by the devs’?
Total bullshit.
Just some hype she was riding.” He clicked his tongue.
“But man… the way she acts, the way she talks, it’s like she really thinks she’s something big.” Allen tapped his fingers against the handlebar, looking thoughtful.

“So what’s the actual deal?
You guys just think she’s weird, or is there something bigger going on?” Tommy rubbed his face.
“Bigger, bro.
Way bigger.
At first, we thought it was just some try-hard player trying to get attention, right?
Happens all the time.
But James and Noah?
They’ve been digging into it, and some of the things they found don’t add up.
At all.” Allen kept his face still, but inside, he was smirking.
Perfect.
This was exactly what he wanted.
He had laid the groundwork.
Now, all he had to do was let them come to their own conclusions.
“So what’s not adding up?” Allen asked, tilting his head.
Tommy hesitated for a second before lowering his voice.
“It’s not just one thing, man.
It’s the whole damn picture.
I feel… like she wants to control everything.
Manipulate everyone around her.
And I’m not just talking about you.
I mean all of us.
Yet she plays the victim.
Puts herself out there as this sweet, innocent girl who’s just caught up in drama.” He exhaled sharply, shaking his head.
“And you know what?
Even before the event happened, Alex had to fight his way through a mess because Sophia kept throwing dirt at him.” Allen blinked.
That caught him off guard.
“Wait.
What?” He frowned.
“I never heard about that.” He had been busy leading up to the event, caught up in preparations and his own plans.
He hadn’t exactly paid attention to every rumor floating around.
Tommy gave him a look.
“Dude.
You didn’t know?
Sophia accused Alexander of cheating his way into winning second place for the high-score assist ranking.” Allen narrowed his eyes.
“That doesn’t make any sense.
Why the hell would she say that?” Tommy threw his hands up.
“Beats me.
But she wasn’t just talking shit-she was actively trying to stir up drama.
She even tried to pit Alexander against Valkyrie.” Allen let out a slow breath, trying to process that.
“Elaborate.” “Yeah.” Tommy crossed his arms.
“Sophia kept saying Valkyrie deserved second place instead of Alex.
Like, she tried to spin this whole narrative that Alex didn’t earn his ranking.
But you know how Valkyrie is.” Allen smirked slightly.
“Yeah, she doesn’t give a damn about rankings.” “Exactly.” Tommy sighed.
“She literally brushed Sophia off and said she didn’t care.
That’s why the drama didn’t explode like Sophia wanted.” Allen’s smirk faded.
His mind flashed back to the party.
Alex had seemed quiet, like he was trying to blend into the background.
At the time, Allen hadn’t thought much of it-he just figured Alex was being his usual reserved self.
But if this had been weighing on him the whole time… “That’s why Alex was acting weird,” Allen muttered.
Tommy laughed.
“Oh, timid is his default setting, so it’s not like that part was new.
But me and Theo really had to push him to attend the party.
He almost skipped it entirely.” Allen frowned.
“Seriously?
He thought he didn’t deserve it?” Tommy sighed.
“Yeah.
He was convinced people were looking at him sideways, thinking he was a fraud.
Me and Theo spent way too much energy dragging him out of that mindset.
He worked for that ranking, fair and square.
But Sophia got in his head.” Allen ran a hand through his hair.
“There’s a problem with his confidence.” Tommy nodded.
“Big one.
He’s good-damn good.
But he second-guesses himself all the time.
And Sophia?
She knew exactly where to hit him.” Allen exhaled slowly.
He hadn’t realized how deep this went.
And now it made sense why Tommy and Theo had been pushing Alex so hard to show up, to take up space.
They knew he wouldn’t do it himself.
“So yeah,” Tommy’s expression darkened.
“Your ex’s good at it.
Real good.
It’s like she plants a spark, lets other people set the fire, and then she walks away looking like she had nothing to do with it.” Allen hummed in thought, glancing at the train schedule.
He had set a lot of pieces into motion lately, but now?
Now, things were shifting in a way he hadn’t expected.
He had laid the bait, and instead of one or two people getting hooked, the whole damn board was moving.
Tommy was staring at the floor, lost in thought.
“It pisses me off,” he muttered to himself.
“She almost got away with it.
She almost convinced Alex to disappear.
And for what?
Just because she decided he shouldn’t be second place?” He scoffed.
“She acts like she’s untouchable, like she can get away with anything,” he complained again in a low voice.
Allen knew it wasn’t for him, but for Tommy himself.
He was really pissed off to that extent.
Allen patted his shoulder.
