Chapter 1459: Blank Brain Mode
Villain Ch 1459. Blank Brain Mode
Shea lingered a moment longer before stepping back, the playful glint returning to her eyes. “Now get going, before Sebastian starts thinking something scandalous.”
Allen chuckled, taking his bag and heading for the door. “Pretty sure that ship sailed a long time ago.”
Their laughter followed him out into the hallway, and he shook his head softly, smiling as he made his way carefully down the stairs. His legs still complained slightly, but he could manage it.
Outside, sunlight filtered gently through the clouds, washing over him with a pleasant warmth. Sebastian stood waiting patiently by the sleek black car, impeccably dressed as always, offering a polite nod.
“Morning, sir,” Sebastian greeted him calmly, opening the car door smoothly. “I trust you’re feeling well?”
Allen sighed dramatically, carefully climbing into the comfortable leather seats. “I’ve been better.”
Sebastian smiled subtly, closing the door gently. “Understood.”
As the car pulled away, Allen leaned his head back, closing his eyes, finally feeling fully at peace. Despite his aching legs, despite the chaotic night and the embarrassing morning aftermath, he couldn’t deny one thing.
He was happy.
And it was worth every single aching muscle, every moment of embarrassment.
Because he knew now more than ever that he’d found exactly where he belonged.
Allen leaned back into the plush leather seat of Shea’s luxury car, eyes fixed blankly on the world sliding past outside the tinted window. Streets blurred into vague shapes, colors smearing gently into each other as the car moved smoothly through the traffic of the bustling city. Normally, he’d be watching carefully, mapping streets or crafting plotlines in his head, but right now, his mind had simply gone quiet.
He was officially running on autopilot. Blank brain mode.
His author’s brain—usually so sharp, always churning out ideas, dialogues, scenarios, twists—had completely overloaded last night. He’d spent all his mental and physical energy. Even now, just thinking felt like lifting weights with muscles that had already given out. So, instead of pushing himself, he just… let himself drift.
And that meant, for once, he was left alone with his heart.
Allen exhaled slowly, the car gently humming beneath him, the faint vibration comforting against his aching muscles. Being alone with his heart was something he’d avoided for years. Because whenever he went there, whenever he allowed himself to stop thinking and simply feel, all that ever surfaced was anger, sadness, loneliness—dark, empty places born from the past injustices he’d faced from his family.
In moments like these, his heart always reminded him of everything he had lacked. Love. Warmth. Acceptance. Things that had always felt painfully out of reach, no matter how successful or powerful he became.
But today… something felt different.
Instead of emptiness or the sharp sting of old wounds, there was warmth. Soft, glowing, comforting warmth—like sunlight finally breaking through clouds after an endless storm. It felt strange, unfamiliar, but undeniably pleasant.
The car stopped at a red light, and Allen watched a family crossing the street—a mother and father holding hands, their young daughter skipping happily between them. The image tugged gently at his chest, but not painfully. It was a gentle reminder of what he’d always wanted.
Allen let out another slow breath. The hole inside him, that gap he’d carried around since childhood, didn’t seem as empty now. The edges didn’t hurt as much. It was like something had finally filled it, softened it, made it bearable.
His mind drifted back to last night. Memories rose, vivid and warm, filled with the echoes of soft whispers, teasing laughter, tender touches, and the raw vulnerability he’d allowed himself to feel in their arms.
It was strange. He’d always been careful, always guarded his heart with walls made of iron and sarcasm. But those girls had quietly slipped past his defenses. Last night, despite all their playful teasing, they’d shown him their real feelings through action. It hadn’t just been about physical pleasure. They had worshipped him—each touch, each kiss, each whispered word had been filled with genuine care.
Actions spoke louder than words. And what they’d done for him spoke volumes.
The thought made him smile softly, just a gentle tug at the corner of his lips.
The car shifted into motion again, smoothly navigating the busy street. Sebastian, silent until now, glanced briefly into the rearview mirror. Allen saw his reflection, the sharp eyes, the composed expression.
“You look happy, Mr. Goldborne,” Sebastian noted softly. “Seems last night was good to you.”
Allen blinked, startled slightly by the butler’s direct observation. He considered deflecting, brushing off the question with humor, but then decided against it. Why hide something that was genuinely good?
“Yeah,” Allen admitted quietly, a faint smile still lingering. “It was a really good time.”

Sebastian nodded slowly, eyes fixed calmly on the road ahead, but his voice held genuine warmth. “I’m glad to hear that. Madam and Miss Zoe have also seemed much happier since they’ve become involved with you.”
Allen looked up sharply, surprise flickering through him. “Really?”
Sebastian nodded again, a subtle smile touching his lips. “Yes, sir. Madam Shea… since the passing of her husband, has never truly opened her heart to anyone. Her focus has always been business, profits, and networking. She always maintained perfect control, professional relationships, always carefully measured. Nothing more.”
Allen’s brow furrowed slightly. Shea was always so confident, charismatic, utterly in control—he’d never considered the loneliness that might lurk beneath her polished exterior.
Sebastian continued gently, “But recently… I’ve noticed a change in her. She smiled more. She’s begun to laugh genuinely, something she hasn’t truly done in a long time.”
Allen listened quietly. He knew Shea’s husband had passed away, but he never knew the emotional walls she had built. It explained a lot—the careful control, the guarded affection.
“And Miss Zoe…” Sebastian’s voice softened further, the fatherly tone clear in his words. “Zoe has always lived in Madam Shea’s shadow. She’s bright, energetic, vibrant—but around her mother, that vibrancy dims. She’s like a baby duckling, always trailing behind her mother, never daring to step out from that shadow.”
