Chapter 1462: Is There a Room For Someone Else in That Picture?
Villain Ch 1462. Is There a Room For Someone Else in That Picture?
Allen choked violently on his coffee, coughing harshly as heat flooded his cheeks. “Emma!” he sputtered, mortified.
Jordan gave Emma a sharp, disapproving glance. “Emma. Language.”
Emma shrugged, completely unbothered, leaning back with a satisfied smirk. “What? It’s a valid question.”
Allen wiped his mouth quickly, trying to hide the burning embarrassment that had turned his ears red. “Seriously? Can you not?”
Azura, however, looked strangely amused rather than offended. Her eyes sparkled as she delicately covered her laughter behind her fingertips, watching Allen sympathetically. “Your mornings are always eventful.”
Allen groaned softly, rubbing his temple. “Unfortunately, yes.”
Emma stuck out her tongue playfully. “Oh, relax. I’m just stating facts.”
Allen sighed heavily, giving her a dry stare. “Your ‘facts’ are gonna get me killed one day.”
Jordan chuckled gently, shaking his head. “She has her moments. Mostly inappropriate ones.”
Emma shrugged, utterly unapologetic. “You’re welcome.”
Azura leaned back comfortably in her chair, gently setting her empty teacup down. Her expression softened as she looked back toward Allen, curiosity lighting her features. “So, Allen, these relationships—are they serious?”
Allen hesitated slightly, caught off guard by her question. He hadn’t expected such straightforwardness, especially not from Azura. But he saw genuine interest in her gaze, not just idle curiosity. “Yeah,” he admitted softly after a moment. “They are.”
Azura’s smile remained gentle, though a subtle, complicated emotion flickered briefly across her eyes. “I’m glad to hear that.”
Allen watched her closely, sensing there might be more she wasn’t saying. But before he could ask, Emma piped up again, determinedly breaking the tender moment. “Aww, Azura! You’re always so sweet to Allen. You’ve really got a crush on him, huh?”
Azura’s face flushed faintly, her calm composure momentarily slipping. “Emma,” she murmured, shaking her head softly.
Emma merely raised her eyebrows suggestively, leaning back in satisfaction. “Just an observation.”
Allen cleared his throat, embarrassed but also slightly curious at Azura’s reaction. She had always been the gentle, polite cousin, but now he wondered if maybe Emma had actually hit close to home.
Trying to diffuse the tension, he offered Azura a gentle smile. “Well, now that you live close by, feel free to visit whenever. It’s nice seeing you more casually like this.”
Azura seemed relieved by the shift in conversation, her smile quickly returning. “Thank you. I’d like that.”
Jordan cleared his throat, his voice calm but warm as he glanced between them. “Agreed. You’re always welcome here, Azura.”
Azura nodded gratefully. “Thank you, Uncle Jordan.”
Allen smiled warmly, the lingering awkwardness fading away slowly. He realized he liked this—family gathered around the table, casual teasing, shared laughter.
Emma stood up suddenly, stretching dramatically. “Well, as much as I’d love to stay and keep embarrassing Allen, I’ve got a lesson with my private tutor soon.”
Allen sighed dramatically. “Oh no. Such a shame.”
Emma rolled her eyes playfully. “I’ll get you later, big brother. Mark my words.”
“Looking forward to it,” Allen replied dryly, watching her head toward the doorway.
Jordan stood up as well, patting Allen’s shoulder gently. “I have a conference call soon. Enjoy your morning, Allen. Azura, please visit anytime.”
Azura smiled graciously. “Thank you, Uncle Jordan.”
Soon, it was just Allen and Azura left at the table. Azura tilted her head thoughtfully, her eyes gentle as she studied him carefully. “You really do seem happier lately, Allen.”

Allen paused, swirling the last dregs of coffee in his cup, letting her observation settle. He lifted his gaze, meeting her soft eyes with quiet curiosity. “Do you mean after the conference, when they officially announced me as a Goldborne? Or… are you talking about something else?” He chuckled softly, though his smile held a touch of bitterness. “You know, ever since they revealed who I am, making a public appearance in the game has become a nightmare.”
Azura laughed quietly. She leaned slightly forward, her gaze still warm, yet searching. “No, Allen. I meant before all that. Even before the announcement. You’ve seemed happier for a while now.”
He blinked, slightly taken aback. “Really? How long are we talking about?”
Azura hesitated, her eyes thoughtful. “When I first met you two years ago, you looked… different. You carried a heaviness—almost anger—wherever you went.”
Allen felt a quiet pang at her words, memories suddenly vivid and sharp. He set his cup down slowly, leaning back into the chair, allowing himself to drift momentarily into the past. “Angry, huh?” He smiled slightly, though it didn’t quite reach his eyes. “You’re not wrong.” He sighed, leaning forward slightly, resting his elbows on the table. “My teammates—my so-called friends—had just betrayed me.” He chuckled bitterly, shaking his head. “I lost everything. So, yeah, angry is probably putting it lightly,” he stated.
Azura’s eyes softened even further, her voice gentle. “I can see that.”
He smiled faintly, shrugging it off. “It was a long time ago. But back then, I guess… being angry felt justified. It felt like the only thing I had.”
Azura nodded slowly, understanding in her eyes. Her fingers gently traced the edge of her empty teacup, eyes thoughtful. “And now… it feels like you’ve changed.”
Allen chuckled softly. “I guess you’re right. It feels… different now. Better.”
Azura smiled, eyes twinkling gently. “You have family around you, and girlfriends who obviously care about you.” She paused, her voice softer, more vulnerable. “That’s a good thing.”
Allen caught the subtle hesitation in her voice, feeling the air shift slightly. He tilted his head curiously, watching her carefully. “Yeah… It’s honestly more than I ever expected. It’s like—” he hesitated, searching for the right words, “—like everything finally fits.”
Azura’s gaze softened even more, and her expression turned somewhat shy. She glanced down briefly, gathering courage, before meeting his eyes again. “I wonder… if… there’s room for someone else in that picture?”
Allen’s heart skipped slightly, surprise and warmth mingling inside him. He studied her carefully, trying to fully understand her meaning. “Someone else?” he asked gently.
