Chapter 1478: Fast Hunt
Villain Ch 1478. Fast Hunt
Meanwhile…
Allen stepped into the Hall of Silence, the heavy iron gates grinding shut behind him. Immediately, the atmosphere changed.
Cold, biting air prickled his skin through his armor, darkness enveloping the hall as shadows shifted around crumbling stone pillars. Dim violet torches flickered weakly on walls etched with eldritch runes, providing just enough light to outline the shapes of creatures lurking in every corner. The faint stench of decay hung heavily.
But today, Allen didn’t spare time for sightseeing.
His steps were purposeful and quick. Around him, the girls fanned out instinctively, forming a tight formation. They wore expressions etched in steely seriousness; this wasn’t their usual casual run.
A low growl announced the first wave—an ambush pack of Crypt Lurkers <Lv 205>.
Huge creatures shaped like oversized wolves but covered in rotten fur and exposed, decaying ribs, their eyes glowed a sickly yellow as they lunged.
Allen reacted instantly. “Stone Curse,” he muttered calmly.
The ground erupted, stone claws grasping upward, petrifying several wolves mid-leap.
Vivian lashed forward without pause, her whip snapping with lethal precision, slicing through the frozen enemies, sending stone fragments and dark blood scattering.
More beasts surged forward.
Bella darted gracefully ahead, conjuring an Ice Storm that shredded several Lurkers instantly.
Jane raised her bare hands, chanting coldly—skeletal warriors rose swiftly from the shadows, attacking the leftover enemies mercilessly.
Allen pressed forward, eyes focused intently on their path ahead.
A pair of Shadow Gargoyles <Lv 208> swooped down from their perches, shrieking horribly, stone claws poised to slash.
Allen lifted his sword with an effortless swing.
“Demonic Lance.”
His blade unleashed a pulse of dark energy, skewering both gargoyles mid-air. They shattered instantly, chunks of stone raining down violently.
Shea, her wings spread wide, played her harp softly, and immediately her melody became weaponized, blades of wind erupting forward, slicing apart the dark forms of Shadow Gargoyles before they even reached the ground.
“Faster,” Allen said firmly. “They’re spawning quicker.”
Larissa glided forward. “Bat Swarm,” she whispered smoothly, and immediately hundreds of spectral bats surged ahead, stripping flesh from several hulking Grave Titans <Lv 210> blocking their path. The massive creatures roared, swinging their grotesque arms, yet Larissa’s bats tore them apart ruthlessly.
Another horde burst from the shadows.
Allen counted dozens, a flood of snarling, twisted beasts—Abyssal Ghouls <Lv 212>.
Thin and emaciated, these creatures lunged with elongated, razor-sharp claws.
Alice flew forward, perched gracefully on her broom, eyes narrowed. “Void Sphere.”
A dark, swirling orb hurtled forward, pulling the enemies violently inward. They screeched in agony, clawing desperately at empty air before the sphere detonated in a pulse of shadowy destruction, annihilating them instantly.
The team didn’t pause, didn’t slow.
Vivian snapped her whip around another lunging ghoul, jerking sharply, breaking its neck instantly before stepping lightly beside Allen. Her crimson eyes sparkled with battle-lust but no teasing smile appeared today. Even she was fully focused.
Allen’s senses prickled suddenly. He raised a hand sharply, “Barrier.”

A shimmering crimson shield sprang up immediately.
Moments later, explosive dark fireballs slammed into the shield harmlessly—Wraith Pyromancers <Lv 215>. They hovered ominously, hands ablaze with unnatural flames.
Instantly, Zoe stepped forward, dark water swirling at her feet. “Depths’ Grasp.”
Tentacles of pure water exploded from beneath the Pyromancers, wrapping around them, crushing bone and draining HP rapidly, leaving their bodies lifelessly dropping to the stone floor.
Yet more enemies spawned, the dungeon trying desperately to stall their advance.
Spectral Warriors <Lv 218>
Ghostly knights with shadowy armor and swords dripping ghostly poison—charged silently, weapons raised.
Allen didn’t hesitate. His sword rose high. “Hellfire Rain.”
Flaming meteors roared down, bathing the spectral warriors in infernal flames, scorching them instantly. Their ghostly howls echoed terribly as the flames devoured them.
But Allen moved ahead swiftly, not sparing even a glance at the aftermath. His eyes remained locked ahead, deeper into the dungeon, his blade steady and ready.
Larissa strode beside him, her dark presence reassuring. “They’re determined today,” she murmured, glancing briefly at Allen. “Are you alright?”
Allen didn’t break stride. “Perfectly fine. Let’s pick up our pace.”
Their journey quickened, urgency driving every step. They had to reach the third floor—the Cursed Atrium—before the Overlord Shade appeared, or they’d lose their advantage.
Just ahead, a massive doorway loomed, ancient runes glowing ominously along its frame. Allen stepped toward it, senses sharpened. But before he could push forward, the hall trembled violently.
More monsters erupted from every direction simultaneously—a coordinated dungeon response designed explicitly to overwhelm intruders.
Dozens of Abyssal Ghouls, Crypt Lurkers, and Shadow Gargoyles charged from the darkness, claws and fangs gleaming viciously.
Allen clenched his jaw, pulse accelerating. He raised his sword calmly. “Let’s end this.”
Immediately, Jane unleashed a fierce chant. “Death Nova!”
Dark energy exploded outward from her position, disintegrating multiple enemies instantly.
Shea soared upwards, her wing feathers slicing through monsters.
Bella twisted sharply, Fire Balls exploding from her fingertips, incinerating enemies mercilessly.
Allen carved a ruthless path forward, blade slicing through enemy after enemy. When his sword wasn’t enough, he used Telekinesis Blast, slamming clusters of monsters violently into walls and pillars, shattering bones instantly.
Blood splattered across his armor, across his face, but he pressed relentlessly ahead.
Larissa’s Blood Manipulation skill turned pools of enemy blood into deadly, crimson spears, impaling monsters viciously from every angle.
Vivian swung her whip ceaselessly, her Demonic Frenzy allowing swift, precise attacks.
Monsters fell like ragdolls, their anguished shrieks echoing harshly throughout the hall.
Alice immediately complied. Shadows surged around enemies’ legs, holding them rooted helplessly, easy prey for Allen’s final strike.
His sword slashed mercilessly—clean, decisive, ruthless.
The carnage was endless. His breath steadied, his pulse balanced perfectly—he’d trained for moments exactly like this.
Finally, the hall quieted, the last ghoul falling heavily at his feet, dissolving into a dark aura.
Allen straightened slowly, eyes fixed ahead. Sweat trickled down his brow, mingling with blood, yet his gaze stayed sharp, undistracted.
Zoe moved swiftly beside him. “It’s clear,” she confirmed quietly, nodding towards the massive doorway.
Allen exhaled, briefly flicking his gaze across each girl, silently checking their conditions. They nodded firmly, eyes serious and ready.
