Chapter 1481: Infinite Loop
Villain Ch 1481. Infinite Loop
Luckily, Allen used his Shadow Step and vanished to dodge.
Reappearing a few feet away, Allen caught his breath, sweat trickling down the side of his face. His muscles burned from the strain, his ears ringing from the monster’s relentless shrieks. This wasn’t like their usual encounters. Each strike he landed cut deep visually, but the Shade seemed unfazed, regenerating endlessly, its HP bar dropping then rising again like an infinite loop.
It was like fighting against a tide—no matter how hard he swung, the creature refused to stay down.
Allen glanced quickly toward the others.
Bella was leaping gracefully over her clone’s sword strikes, throwing elemental magic relentlessly.
Larissa danced around crimson tendrils of blood, repeatedly piercing her Shade.
Jane’s summoned skeletons and explosions continuously battered hers.
Everyone was struggling similarly. The monsters simply refused to die.
The Shade before Allen let out another metallic, echoing roar and charged again, shaking the ground beneath it with each thunderous step. Allen braced himself, narrowing his eyes as he countered with Demonic Lance, impaling the creature’s torso and knocking it backward. But as expected, the monster simply lurched forward again, the gaping hole slowly sealing itself with writhing shadows.
“This thing just won’t quit,” Allen growled, frustration rising. “There’s gotta be something we’re missing.”
He dodged sideways as another swipe from the halberd-arm whooshed past, cutting dangerously close. The rush of air burned across his skin like fire, leaving a faint, tingling sensation. Allen winced slightly. The attacks weren’t causing lasting damage, but the sensations were painfully real.
“Any ideas, guys?” he shouted urgently to the group, spinning around to keep eyes on his enemy. “It’s regenerating faster than we can hurt it!”
“It’s like the bar won’t move!” Zoe called out desperately, grappling with her Shade’s tentacles. “I cut pieces off and they just come right back!”
Vivian whipped hers brutally, slicing limbs off rapidly, only to watch them reform. “Same here. The damn thing just won’t go down!”
Allen blocked another powerful strike with his sword, sliding back several inches from the sheer force. Sparks flew, sending stinging heat across his exposed skin. His muscles ached sharply from each deflection. The pain felt more vivid with each passing minute, driving urgency deeper into his bones.
He quickly assessed the situation again. They had been locked in combat for too long. Something else was at play here—something beyond just raw damage. He needed a clue, anything to turn this around.
Allen glanced hurriedly around the atrium. The towering obsidian walls loomed ominously, shadows flickering from the eerie violet torches. His eyes darted over the cracked stone floor, littered with debris and scorch marks from their battle. Then, he spotted it—the dark, glowing summoning formation that still pulsed at the center, shimmering with unnatural violet-red light.
His breath caught sharply in his chest.
“Of course,” he muttered, realization dawning on him. “The formation—it’s powering them!”
Allen’s attention snapped back just as the Shade lunged again, halberd slamming downward. He reacted instantly, using Telekinesis Blast to propel himself aside. The weapon smashed into the stone, sending shards flying, slicing shallow, stinging cuts into his arms. Allen gritted his teeth through the fresh wave of pain and turned to the others.
“Everyone!” he shouted over the chaos. “These things are tethered to the summoning circle! We have to break the formation!”
Bella leapt backward, dodging her Shade’s fierce strike, narrowly avoiding injury. “You sure about that? What if it backfires?”
“Better than dying slowly here!” Zoe yelled back, using Hydro Lances to briefly pin down her enemy.
Allen barely blocked another devastating blow, the impact rattling his bones. “It’s our only option! We need to overload it!”
“Got it!” Alice shouted, spinning rapidly on her broom. “Let’s give it all we’ve got!”
“Hold them off!” Allen called, sprinting toward the formation at the room’s center. His Shade lunged to intercept, sensing his intent. Allen twisted quickly, activating Abyssal Descent, shadows erupting violently from the ground.
Ignoring the intense heat and sting in his limbs, Allen pushed onward, reaching the glowing circle. He slammed his blade downward with brutal force, shadows surging from the impact. Yet the formation remained intact, shimmering defiantly.
“Damn it!” Allen hissed, frustration mounting. “We need more firepower here!”
Larissa darted beside him, eyes flashing crimson. “Allow me.” She raised her hand, blood swirling into lethal, razor-edged spears. “Crimson Wave!”

Her blood spears crashed against the glowing runes, the formation flickering slightly. But still, it held strong, pulsing steadily.
“Not enough!” Allen said, breathing heavily, feeling the heat of exhaustion. “All of us, now!”
The girls quickly regrouped, throwing their strongest attacks into the circle.
Shea’s Sonic Screech reverberated painfully, vibrating the air; Zoe’s Leviathan’s Rage erupted violently; Jane’s Death Nova exploded with concentrated fury; Alice’s Void Sphere imploded forcefully; Bella hurled Fire Balls and Thunderbolts with frenzied intensity. Vivian’s whip lashed relentlessly, slicing deeply into the circle’s protective magic.
The formation shuddered violently, cracks finally spreading across its surface. The Shades howled in agony, their movements erratic, senses scrambled.
Allen felt hope surge. “Again! Everything you’ve got!”
He summoned every ounce of strength, shadows coalescing fiercely around his blade. “Hellfire Rain!”
Dark flames roared down, slamming brutally into the formation, combining with the team’s desperate attacks. The cracks widened rapidly, magic screaming in protest.
The room shook, walls trembling violently. Allen clenched his jaw, pushing through the searing pain, ignoring the scorching sensation across his skin as magic backlash burned against him.
The formation finally shattered in a deafening explosion of light and shadow.
Instantly, the Shades faltered, screeching horribly as the dark energy binding them rapidly dissipated. The sickening sound echoed through the atrium, metallic and anguished, like a chorus of swords being dragged across stone.
For a heartbeat, everything went quiet, the air tense and charged with the fading remnants of shattered magic.
Allen took a deep, sharp breath, sweat and ash coating his face. For the first time since the fight began, genuine confidence surged through his veins. The impossible barrier had finally fallen; the monsters’ endless regeneration halted. Now, every blow counted. And Allen had every intention to make each strike land with devastating clarity.
