Chapter 1483: Proper Rewards
Villain Ch 1483. Proper Rewards
Shea laughed softly, brushing sweat-soaked strands of hair from her face. “After that insane fight? You definitely earned it.”
Bella joined them, stretching her arms overhead, tails flicking lazily behind her. “Hope the loot matches the struggle. If we get more garbage this time, I might actually cry.”
Alice floated over, a mischievous grin on her lips as she drifted closer on her broom. “Careful, Bella. The dungeon might hear you and give you another pair of boots for fishing.”
“Please don’t even joke about that,” Allen muttered, half-smiling despite himself.
As if in response, the system chimed again, displaying the loot list from the defeated boss. The glowing inventory screen hovered invitingly in front of them, items arranged neatly with their accompanying rarity levels.
[Shard of Overlord’s Essence (Legendary Material)] – A crystallized fragment pulsing with shadow energy. Can be used to significantly enhance dark-element weapons or armor, granting additional shadow damage and defense penetration.
[Silk of Whispered Shadows (Epic Material)] – Rare silk threads imbued with stealth enchantments. Ideal for crafting cloaks or robes that grant temporary invisibility when stationary.
[Bloodstone of Echoing Agony (Epic Material)] – A blood-red gem that radiates intense dark energy. Perfect for embedding into weapons or accessories to add persistent bleeding effects to attacks.
[Orb of Abyssal Enhancement (Rare Material)] – A mysterious orb brimming with dark power, significantly increases the user’s dark-element skills and attacks when consumed.
Allen’s eyes lingered on the materials, excitement flaring instantly. He recognized it immediately. Something like this didn’t drop every day.
Vivian leaned over his shoulder, whistling softly. “Looks like you got your wish, Allen.”
“Yeah, talk about luck,” Larissa said, a faint smile tugging at her lips. “Seems the dungeon finally decided to reward us properly.”
Allen carefully selected the orb, feeling its cool, smooth surface as it materialized into his hand. Its surface was pitch black, swirling faintly with shadowy energy. Just holding it made his pulse quicken, recognizing the powerful boost it would grant him.
“This will help a lot,” he murmured appreciatively, gripping it tightly.
Jane stepped forward curiously. “How exactly does it work?”
“You consume it directly,” Allen explained, lifting the orb slightly. “Instant permanent boost. Pretty rare stuff.”
Bella smirked mischievously, eyes twinkling. “Careful not to choke.”
Allen chuckled lightly, shaking his head. “Thanks for the confidence, Bella.”
“Always here for moral support,” Bella replied with a teasing grin, tails flicking playfully. She stretched again, clearly relieved the fight was finally over.
Allen smiled confidently, stepping toward the spot where the Overlord had fallen. His hand extended, palm open as shadows swirled gently around his fingertips. His heartbeat quickened as he felt the Pact energy connect with the fading essence of the defeated boss, pulling it back into form.
Before them, shadows swirled rapidly, rebuilding a smaller, contained version of the Overlord Shade. It appeared kneeling, dark armor and weapons slightly less menacing, its posture humbled yet powerful. Slowly, it raised its head, eyes glowing with loyalty rather than hostility.
[Pact successful!]
[Shade Overlord has joined your servant ranks!]
“Whoa,” Zoe murmured. “That’s a bit creepy.”
“I kind of like it,” Alice chuckled softly, leaning forward on her broom, eyes sparkling with interest. “It’ll definitely scare off any future challengers.”
Allen nodded approvingly, stepping back slightly as his new servant stood respectfully. “Welcome aboard,” he said simply, smirking. “Serve me well, and maybe I’ll let you out to play sometime.”
The Shade Overlord inclined its head silently, then dissolved back into a shadowy mist. He exhaled deeply, satisfied, before turning back to the group with renewed cheerfulness.
“So,” Allen asked with a grin, “what loot did everyone else get?”
Immediately, the girls perked up, eager to show off. Shea was first, holding up a softly glowing silken bundle of threads that shimmered faintly with shadow magic.

“Check this out,” Shea said proudly. “Silk of Whispered Shadows. I’ll craft a cloak later—perfect for my stealth abilities.”
Alice smiled approvingly. “That suits you, Shea. It’ll make your stealth moves even sneakier.”
“Not like she needs help with sneaking,” Bella teased. “She already vanishes whenever we’re in trouble.”
“Hey!” Shea protested, blushing slightly, though she laughed too. “I’m just strategically invisible.”
Bella rolled her eyes dramatically, reaching into her inventory and pulling out a glimmering, blood-red gemstone. She lifted it proudly, its dark surface pulsing softly.
“Bloodstone of Echoing Agony,” Bella declared grandly. “Guess who’ll be adding bleed damage to her attacks soon? Yep, that’s right—me.”
Zoe snickered. “As if your attacks weren’t painful enough already.”
“You know it,” Bella said smugly, flicking her tails confidently.
Jane reached into her inventory calmly, extracting a crystalline fragment that radiated intense, shadowy energy. She held it delicately, looking almost amused by its power.
“I got the Shard of Overlord’s Essence,” Jane said, her voice as serene as ever. “It’s perfect for my necromancy skills. Raising undead minions just got even easier.”
Vivian whistled appreciatively. “Jane raising stronger undead minions? Dungeon mobs better run while they still can.”
Larissa tilted her head thoughtfully, revealing a similar shard glowing darkly in her own hand. “I got the same shard. It’ll definitely enhance my blood magic. Imagine the new ways I can control enemies’ blood now.”
Allen raised an eyebrow, impressed. “That’s terrifying and awesome at the same time.”
“I’ll take that as a compliment,” Larissa replied coolly, a faint smile touching her lips.
Zoe stepped forward eagerly, grinning as she presented an orb similar to Allen’s earlier find. It swirled gently with potent shadow magic, almost identical to the one he’d consumed earlier.
“Orb of Abyssal Enhancement,” Zoe announced proudly. “Guess I’ll be upgrading my tentacles to legendary status. Watch out, dungeon bosses.”
Allen laughed softly, genuinely amused. “Nice, Zoe. You deserve it after the fight you put up.”
Zoe grinned happily. “Thanks, Allen. Honestly, we all earned these rewards.”
Finally, Vivian held up her loot dramatically—a silk bundle identical to Shea’s, shimmering darkly.
“Another Silk of Whispered Shadows,” Vivian said cheerfully. “Guess Shea and I will have matching cloaks. We can be stealth twins.”
Shea giggled, clearly delighted. “Best idea ever. We’ll freak people out so badly.”
