Chapter 1500: Game Owner VS Game Investor
Villain Ch 1500. Game Owner VS Game Investor
Allen watched his sister spin on her heel and skip toward the center platform like she’d just been crowned queen of chaos.
Kafra stood beside him, rubbing her temple with two fingers as if already regretting every choice she had ever made that led to this moment.
Before Allen could even open his mouth to say something, another portal shimmered to life behind the throne dais with a faint, glassy hum.
Vivian stepped through it, her high-heeled boots clicking softly on the stone, hair falling in waves over her sexy crimson armor set. Her lips curled into a sly smile as she tilted her head slightly.
“So… Emma will also join us now?” she asked, her voice smooth as silk wrapped around a blade.
Kafra gave a small nod. “Kinda. But no promises yet. I still have to bring it to the event team.”
Emma raised both arms like she was accepting an award. “Which means it’s not a no! So we’ll be a team, Vivian! Isn’t that great?”
Vivian narrowed her eyes playfully. “Wonderful. I can already feel the blood pressure spike.”
Before the sarcasm could be returned, another ripple of magic brushed across the edge of the crypt. Zoe walked in through the side gate like she owned the place—striding casually. An apple in her hand.
Zoe bit into her apple and chewed slowly. “Just promise us you won’t sabotage us halfway through the event.”
Emma turned and gasped dramatically. “Zoe! I’m shocked. Offended, even! At least show me some respect.”
She puffed her chest and pointed at herself with both thumbs. “I’m Allen’s sister. The daughter of the game’s owner!”
Zoe didn’t even blink. She smirked. “And I’m the daughter of this game’s investor. You can’t kick me out even if you wanted to.”
Emma blinked, mouth opening.
She closed it again.
Then pouted. “Dad shouldn’t have let your mom invest in our company…”
There was a soft click behind them as yet another voice entered the chaos. Her expression was calm, but the glint in her eyes was unmistakably amused.
“But he did let me,” Shea said, her voice smooth, maternal, and dangerously smug. “So be nice, young lady.”
Emma stiffened like a student caught throwing paper balls at the back of the class. “Shea…”
Shea smiled sweetly. “Yes, dear?”
Allen coughed lightly into his fist, hiding his grin. “I see you guys have already cleared your trials.”
Shea folded her arms as she stepped fully into the Crypt’s center platform, her gaze flicking from Allen to Zoe and then back again. “Well, I just finished mine a few minutes ago,” she said coolly, brushing a speck of dust off her shoulder. “It was annoying. Too many conditional spell casts and timed barriers. But manageable. They tried to lock me into a seal trap for twenty minutes. I broke it in three.”
Zoe leaned lazily against a pillar nearby, the bottom half of her apple already eaten. She gave her mom a casual thumbs-up. “Nice job, Mom.”
Shea narrowed her eyes, then pointed at the fruit in Zoe’s hand. “Speaking of… why are you eating that? You know the system food buffs don’t stack if you’re already full.”
Zoe shrugged, taking another bite. “It’s a reward.”
Shea blinked. “A reward?”
Zoe nodded. “Yeah. From the Trial of Adaptation. It was the weirdest thing. Final chest had a rare-tier enhancement orb, a gold pouch, and this glowing apple labeled ‘Trial Completion Snack – One Bite Restores Sanity.’ I figured I’d save it for after… but it just looked really good.”
Allen squinted. “Did it actually restore sanity?”
Zoe took one last bite, chewing with exaggerated slowness. “Dunno. I still feel insane.”

Allen exhaled and gave her a tired look. “Why do I even ask.”
Zoe grinned. “Because you love me.”
“Anyway… Just saying,” Emma interjected, “if I do get approved, I’ll bring something special to the team. Like morale. Or flair.”
Vivian chuckled dryly. “Or headaches.”
Allen stepped between them before the sass could escalate into an actual PvP duel inside the base.
“Alright, enough flexing,” he said. “I need you to look at this.”
He flicked his hand, and the entire center platform of the Cursed Crypts lit up with a large holographic projection—his custom base editor interface. Runes hovered in the air, displaying traps, towers, and the rough outline of the Inner Abyssal Throne Room, now designated as the final stand zone.
Vivian stepped closer, arms behind her back. “This… actually looks insane. In a good way.”
“Insane is kind of our aesthetic,” Allen muttered. “I built the outer layers with funnel mechanics. Bone bridges here,” he pointed to a segment near the cliff’s edge, “lead directly into lava channels. We’ll force them to bottleneck unless they bring jump boosters or blink spam.”
“And the Abyssal Dragon?” Vivian asked, glancing up. “Still in planning?”
“I’ve got the soul shards ready,” Allen replied. “I’ll need two days of farming the essence. Kafra’s already put in the system flag.”
“Assuming I don’t regret it,” Kafra muttered under her breath.
Emma leaned over Vivian’s shoulder. “And if I get in, maybe I can pilot the dragon. Pretty please.”
“Nope,” Shea said instantly.
Emma groaned. “Come on. I’d give him a cool name! Like Fluffy.”
Vivian’s face went pale. “You’re gonna name the ultimate raid boss Fluffy?”
“FLUFFY THE DESTROYER,” Emma corrected. “There’s a difference.”
Allen just stared at her. “You scare me.”
“I know,” she beamed.
“Once the event starts, we’ll rotate based on threat level and objectives. It’s not just about brute force—it’s about timing,” Shea said.
Kafra added, “Think of it as tower defense with live players.”
Vivian smirked. “Which means Emma’s not wrong. She could add flair.”
Emma lit up again.
“She could also ruin everything if she forgets to follow the mechanic script,” Kafra added dryly.
“I promise I won’t,” Emma mumbled.
“Debateable,” Allen, Kafra, and Zoe said at the same time.
Emma huffed.
Shea reached out and ruffled Emma’s hair. “Still, you are a genius. And reckless or not, that’s what makes you dangerous.”
