Chapter 1502: WE’RE COMING FOR THE DEVIL EMPEROR!
Villain Ch 1502. WE’RE COMING FOR THE DEVIL EMPEROR!
Kafra finally folded her arms and stepped back, the system interface around her dimming. “Alright. We’ll reconvene soon. I’ll notify you the moment I get confirmation from the event team regarding Emma’s role.”
Emma did a tiny hop in place, eyes sparkling with anticipation. “Please make sure they know I’m open to anything except being a literal tower.”
“Anything?” Allen asked without looking up.
Emma narrowed her eyes. “Almost anything.”
Kafra gave a tired sigh, then her expression softened just slightly. “Understood. Logging out now.”
She raised a hand, and her figure shimmered, blurring into thousands of data fragments before vanishing from the crypt like smoke on a breeze.
Emma hesitated for just a second, giving Allen one more defiant look that didn’t quite mask the nerves underneath it. “I’ll be back. Don’t let Jane install the stripping trap rooms.”
Allen rolled his eyes. “No promises.”
Emma grinned, and with a flick of her wrist, activated her own logout sequence. Her avatar dissolved in a swirl of gold code, leaving behind nothing but a small ripple in the air.
Allen let the silence settle for a second, then finally clapped his hands together. “Alright. We’re taking a break. Thirty minutes. After that, we start crafting gear.”
“Thank gods,” Bella groaned. “My fingers are still sore from the last dungeon.”
“I could use a drink,” Zoe said, stretching her arms over her head.
Jane flopped backward onto a seat. “I’m gonna sketch out some trap aesthetics while I’m gone.”
“Please don’t,” Allen muttered.
“I’ll be back in exactly twenty-nine minutes,” Alice said calmly. “Not a second more.”
“Yeah, yeah,” Allen waved her off, already opening his own menu. “See you all in half an hour.”
He clicked Logout.
The world didn’t vanish instantly. Instead, it peeled away—layer by layer, like someone tearing back painted wallpaper. The crypt’s red sky broke apart into pixels. The curses hanging in the air unraveled like frayed yarn.
Then came the real world.
Allen opened his eyes to the soft hum of his room—quiet, low-lit, with the curtain half-drawn and a faint breeze slipping through the window. The scent of something floral and barely there clung to the air—probably lingering from his cologne. His desk lamp still glowed faintly, casting a pale halo across the hardwood floor.
He sat up, slowly removing the sleek VR device from his face. The inside was still a little warm against his skin.
“Ugh,” he groaned, setting it aside with a soft clunk and rubbing his face with both hands.
The first thing he noticed?
His legs weren’t aching that badly.
That was weird.
He actually felt… kinda good.
Not fresh, but way better than usual. The cushion he bought last month had probably started doing its job, finally. Or maybe he was just getting used to the long hauls again. Either way, he wasn’t complaining.
He stood, stretched his arms overhead until his spine popped in three satisfying places, and let out a long breath.
“Bathroom first,” he muttered to himself.

He padded across the room, feet making soft thuds against the wooden floor, and stepped into the hallway. The familiar scent of tea from downstairs wafted faintly into the air—Kai must’ve started the evening prep already. The house was quiet. Peaceful. Even in contrast to the gothic madness of the Crypts, Allen found it grounding.
After taking care of business in the bathroom, he washed his hands and splashed cold water over his face. He looked up into the mirror and studied himself—dark hair a bit messy from the VR strap, eyes slightly tired but alert.
He dried his face, walked barefoot across the cool floor back into the mini bar, and flicked on the kettle. A subtle green tea aroma curled upward from the tin on the counter the moment he popped it open—earthy, grassy, clean. He scooped some into a strainer, dropped it in his favorite cup, and waited while the steam started to build.
His hand reached for his phone automatically.
Habit.
He wasn’t planning to scroll long—just a quick check before going back in. But the moment he tapped the screen to life, a storm of ding-ding-ding lit up the notifications bar like a pinball machine going off in a casino.
There were at least twenty alerts from different threads across the Hell’s Gate forums—guild hubs, event trackers, and flame war pits alike—but one stood out immediately.
[Ironclad Legion Forum Thread – “WE’RE COMING FOR THE DEVIL EMPEROR” – 12K Views | 5.1K Replies]
Allen raised an eyebrow.
“Oh?” he muttered, thumb already tapping it open.
The thread loaded, and the first post took up half the screen. Giant bold letters. Definitely Arcana’s ego talking.
[Arcana – Guild Leader of Ironclad Legion] “WE’RE COMING FOR THE DEVIL EMPEROR.”
You all saw the system notification. This isn’t just a challenge—it’s a call. We’ve taken back Ront. The core is active. The people are rebuilding. And now we’re going straight into the Crypts to finish what we started. I know some of you are scared. I know some of you think the Devil Emperor is “too strong” or “unbeatable.” But remember: no boss monster is invincible. Not even the Devil himself. Seven days from now, the Hell’s Gate community strikes back.
Prepare your gear.
Sync your builds.
Bring your best.
And we don’t bend to monsters.
Allen let out a low, amused breath as he scrolled down. The replies were already chaos.
Fizz_Bomb69: Bro, do you even know what happened in Ront? Half your raid got vaporized.
Saltmancer: Unpopular opinion: I think the Devil Emperor should win. Dude’s got the most creative mechanics I’ve seen in years. Arcana’s too vanilla.
Clawz_The_Hunter: Shut up. We’re all sick of you simp-posting for the villain. It’s a WORLD RAID. Let the good guys have a dub for once.
DemonDaddy: “Good guys” lmao. Devil Emperor at least made the death stylish.
FrostBlade_27: Okay but real talk—what’s the game plan? Y’all better not die to the first spike trap.
SoftServeSorcerer: Can we talk about the emperor’s base layout? Rumor says it’s fully custom-built. I don’t want to run a damn maze full of fire vomit skeletons.
MaidWithAScythe: I want to fight that succubus. The one who used charm stacks and cursed mirrors. She ruined my tank in 5 seconds flat and I haven’t recovered.
Red_King: RIP
