Chapter 1537: We All Deserve a Crown And a Parade
Villain Ch 1537. We All Deserve a Crown And a Parade

Vivian straightened slowly, wincing as she rubbed the back of her neck. “Please don’t tell me the next phase has started.”

Shea staggered upright, wings ruffling stiffly. She looked around, sensing the shift, the weight settling over the entire platform. “I want to say no,” she said, voice dry. “But… it looks like it’s about to.”

Larissa gave a small smile. “I could lie to you if it’d help.”

Vivian waved her off. “No, thank you. I prefer harsh truths.”

Jane groaned dramatically as she stretched. “I deserve a crown for this.”

Alice, brushing ash off her cloak, let out a small huff. “We all deserve a crown. And a parade.”

“And tail bells,” Bella added brightly, flicking one of her fluffy tails with a tired but mischievous grin.

Allen remained silent for a moment, his hand tightening on the hilt of his sword. His senses were spiking—hair standing on end, instincts screaming.

“Something’s coming,” he said quietly.

As if cued by his words, the glyph suddenly flared brighter, bathing the entire chamber in blood-red light.

And then…

-ROOOOOOOAAAAARRRRRRR!

The very walls of the throne room shook. Dust rained down from the unseen ceiling. The empty thrones trembled on their broken pedestals. The platform cracked in several places, black veins spiderwebbing out from the glyph at the center.

And a voice followed.

Ancient.

Massive.

Layered with rage and disdain, like a god waking from a long, bitter sleep.

“WHO DARES DISTURB MY DOMAIN?”

“WHO DARES TRAMPLE THE SACRED GROUND OF KINGS?”

“WHO DARES LAY CLAIM TO WHAT WAS NEVER THEIRS?”

The voice didn’t echo. It pierced. It hammered straight into the soul, like every word was a curse, a judgment, a threat wrapped in raw abyssal energy.

The girls flinched. Zoe gritted her teeth. Vivian gripped her whip tighter. Even Larissa’s usually unshakable composure hardened.

Allen took a step forward. Sword resting casually on his shoulder. Cloak torn and burned, armor cracked—but his presence never wavered.

“I do,” he said, voice cutting through the heavy air like a blade. “I’m the one who demands the throne.”

Silence.

Then the voice returned, this time dripping with mocking amusement.

“A WHELP OF BLOOD AND SHADOW.”

“A FRACTURED SOUL IN A BROKEN BODY.”

“YOU DARE CLAIM THE SEAT OF SOVEREIGNS?”

Allen tilted his head slightly, unimpressed. “Big words for someone still hiding.”

Another rumble, deeper this time. Not anger. Laughter.

If stone could laugh, if mountains could sneer—that was the sound filling the chamber now.

“IMPUDENT. AMUSING. WORTHY, IN YOUR IGNORANCE.”

“BUT ALL WHO SEEK MUST FIRST SUFFER.”

“ALL WHO DESIRE MUST FIRST BLEED.”

Without warning, the glyph under Allen’s feet shattered like glass.

A new one replaced it instantly—this time alive with pulsing veins of void energy. Chains of dark light lashed outward from the center, carving glowing runes into the ground, forming a jagged, spiraling circle.

The ground outside the platform cracked further, and the shadows themselves moved.

All around them, figures began to rise.

Not dragons.

Not beasts.

These were knights.

Or something like them.

Their armor was abyss-forged—blackened, twisted, spiked. Their swords were longer than most men were tall, dragging behind them and carving molten trails in the floor. Their eyes burned with dull purple fire beneath their helms.

Twelve in total.

[Abyssal Trial: Knights of the Lost Oath]

[Defeat the Abyssal Knights to Prove Worthiness.]

[Warning: No support cooldown allowed. No regeneration during combat.]

[Failure Condition: Total Party Wipe.]

Jane gawked, throwing her hands up dramatically. “Oh come on. More?! Seriously?!”

Vivian’s jaw tightened as she looked over the knights, her whip already coiling tighter around her wrist. “Okay… but uh, anyone else noticing?”

“What?” Bella asked, glancing around, tails twitching nervously.

“No level indicators,” Shea said, her voice grim. “No HP bars. No mana bars either.”

Zoe’s fists clenched, water magic swirling faintly around her fingers. “No way to gauge how strong they are. No way to gauge how long they’ll last.”

Alice muttered under her breath, “This is insane.”

Before anyone could process it further, another system notification flared directly across their vision in urgent crimson text.

[Additional Condition: Defeat all Abyssal Knights within 2 minutes.]

[Failure to comply will result in complete disqualification and forced removal from the Abyssal Throne Trial.]

The party froze.

There was a heartbeat of stunned silence.

Then Jane exploded, arms flailing. “TWO MINUTES?! What the hell?!”

She kicked a broken stone near her foot, sending it skidding across the cracked platform. “How is this even possible?! This quest is bullshit!”

Bella groaned into her hands. “Two minutes to kill twelve knight-bosses that probably have world boss stats and cheat magic?”

Vivian just laughed under her breath, the sound sharp and tired. “I mean… It is the Abyss. It was never gonna be fair.”

Alice adjusted her hat with a sardonic little tug. “Perfect. Great. Love that for us.”

Bella gave a nervous laugh. “Tail bells are officially canceled.”

Zoe inhaled sharply. “Twelve knights. No healing mid-fight. No cooldown resets. It’s… attrition warfare.”

Vivian flicked her whip with a tired grin. “Classic final boss logic. Burn everything, and if you’re still breathing at the end, congratulations.”

Larissa licked her lips, eyes gleaming with adrenaline. “Sounds fun.”

Allen lifted his blade again.

“We move as a unit,” he said calmly. “No one wanders. No solo fights. Target the same knight in bursts. No hesitation.”

The girls nodded—grim but ready.

Across the platform, the knights lowered their massive swords.

The first one roared and charged.

Allen adjusted his stance.

The Abyss had thrown dragons at them.

Now it was throwing champions.

And Allen intended to cut down every last one.

The roar of metal against stone, the flare of magic and darkness, the crack of runes igniting—The next bloody dance had begun.

[Abyssal Trial Countdown: 2:00]

The system timer slammed into the top corner of their vision, burning a bright, relentless red. Two minutes. That was all the time they had to survive—or be wiped out.

Allen didn’t waste a breath.

He moved.
